so i am 53 years old had a serious stroke in 2015 i could not talk, walk right,drooling out of mouth, operate cell phone ect it took me around seven months to heal from this devastation.i had my own demolition co i was always active no matter what .after seven months i new i could not work yet my right arm and leg were not cooperating fully at this time i applied for disability did not get get it had to get a lawyer and then i got it around a year later .the finacial stuff i wont even get into but i was hurting in that regard .

 

So I  knew something was not right after the stroke i could not sleep, had anxiety, depression,  real bad when i got home from hospital ,went to doctor he prescribed klonopin 2mg i was on and ambien 10 mg and the zoloft i was already on 75mg of it it got moved up to 150 mg .

 

The klonopin was okay but then i went from 2mg to 3 mg  daily  for 2.5 years same with the ambien and zoloft then i hit hit me i realized i was a zombie from all the meds i started tapering the klonopin and got off of it in 6 months ,the ambien in 3 months , and i just weaned off the zoloft  im 5 weeks out on the zoloft.

 

I’m  not feeling that well anxiety ,deppression,intrusive thoughts ect so basically i really screwed up on things my doctor never told me it was addictive i did not know .so now i am 11 months off the klonopin around 6 months off ambien and 5 weeks off zoloft.

 

I had bad withdrawalers all the way through it .so hopefully i heal from it its the first time i have been drug free in a long time this stroke and stuff  put me in a bad position and i did not know about these meds till i got online and learned about tapering ect .

so i  weaned off zoloft 150mg everything was smooth and of a sudden in week four after getting off it  i had anxiety ,depression, and a slew of wd so i going to have to reinstate and i cant function  what dose should reinstate at i was at 0.15  when i came off of it .the bottom line is i went to fast  if there is anyone out there that can help me try and reinstate.i was on the meds for twenty three years at .75 a dose for years than at 150mg for last three years

Welcome, demo.

 

You had withdrawal symptoms while you were tapering Zoloft? Has your symptom pattern changed in the last month, since you've been off the drug? How has it changed?

 

If your post-acute withdrawal symptoms are bad, you might try reinstate 0.10mg Zoloft or Prozac. Were you using liquid Zoloft? If you have any left, check the expiration date on the bottle, if it's very old, it may have gotten weaker. If you need a new prescription, I would reinstate liquid Prozac instead, you might find it easier to taper.

so i reinstated zoloft to 0.10 like you had mentioned to me how long with it take till it feel it couple days or more .i am drycutting right now no liquid . the changes were i was very angry all the time anxiety was like i was coming out skin  ,deppresion ect .so if 0.10 does not get me to stabilize do i go up more.

How did you measure 0.10mg? It will take at least 4 days to ramp up.

i crushed the pill  got  0.10 on my scale a little water thats how i took it .so you sayin four days to ramp up if its enough will i feel stabil after 4 days .i know what you mean we want to use a lowest dose as possible, if not should i go up after 4 days .thanks

another thing i noticed im not sleeping  much at all  is this the zoloft causing this problem i did not sleep to well after i tapered originally but now its like a hour a night .

Hey, when I ask for time of day, what I mean is what o'clock. I need these details. How do you feel before taking the drug and after taking the drug?

oh sorry six in morning on the 0.10 that im taking now i notice no difference before of after taking the drug .

i still have  tons anxiety right now its like the drug is not working but you said to give it four days so thats what i am doing .its no better at this point .

regarding the sleep when try to get some sleep i feel really warm that comes from no where and have to turn fan on even though i already have th ac on it can last a few hours i am not sweating but i have that warm feeling in my skin i can get comfortable ,i ve had insomia before but never like this is this anxiety coming out  of the skin its almost like a hot flash but it lasts way longer .

This happened to me and many others. A delayed reaction to the withdrawal. In my case 3.5-4weeks.

I have seen you asking questions of another member, Yogagirl38.

 

What you may not realise is that Altostrata, who has provided already responded to you and suggested a reinstatement dose, is this site's founder and she has personal experience with withdrawal syndrome as well as having done a lot of research.

 

Please keep daily symptoms notes for the next 3 days on paper and post them here daily in your Introduction topic.  This will allow the mods to assess your situation and whether you might need to increase your dose by a small amount.

 

An example:

 

6 a.m. Woke with anxiety
8 a.m. Took 2.5mg Lexapro
10 a.m. Stomach is upset
10:30 a.m. Ate breakfast
11:35 a.m. Got a headache, lasted one hour
12:35 p.m. Ate lunch
4 p.m. Feel a bit better
5 p.m. Took 2.5mg Lexapro
6 p.m. Ate dinner
9:20 p.m. Headache
10:00 p.m. Took 50mg Seroquel
10:20 p.m. Feeling dizzy
10:30 p.m. Fell asleep
2:30 a.m. Woke, took 3mg Ambien (NOT "took 1/2 tablet Ambien")
2:45 a.m. Fell asleep
4:30 a.m. Woke but got back to sleep
