garni
Sorry for that English I have been reading posts here and I am very surprised why people have been taking drugs for ten to twenty years. The doctor prescribed me Lexapro for Anxiety, he told me I should drink for 4 months because in 1 month I felt better and I am still better. At first I drank 10 milligrams for one month, then 5 milligrams for the next two months, and in two weeks I reduced the dose. I reduced the dose for two weeks. In short, it's a little weird but since February 15 I have had symptoms of withdrawals. Poor sleep quality, I have difficulty concentrating and I am weak, I have difficulty speaking properly and I have a lack of motivation. Do you know why the withdrawal is so long? Is 4 months normal? Moderator Emeritus getofflex Posted June 11, 2022 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted June 11, 2022 (edited) Hello, and welcome to SA. We are a volunteer-run community of people who have been or are getting off of psychiatric drugs. Yes, it is normal for withdrawal from Lexapro, and other psychiatric drugs, to last for 4 months or longer. Lexapro is a very powerful antidepressant - it is 2 to 4 times stronger than other SSRI antidepressants. The vast majority of doctors have their patients taper off too fast, and the brain doesn't have enough time to adjust to being without the drug. Are you still taking Lexapro, and if so, at what dose? Can you please give us specific information in your signature about your drug history for all drugs you are on and have been on, especially for the past 18-24 months? It would be especially helpful to have the details of your drugs in a concise vertical list (no symptoms), only drug names, specific dates (as best you can say for example early March if you don't recall the day) and dosages of each medication decrease or increase. I also remember the medicine Mexidol and Phenibut, I drank for about a month in vain until Lexapro appeared. This medication relieved my tension from the third day. I had muscle issue, hyperventilation, as if ants were walking in muscles. Link to comment

Moderator Emeritus getofflex Posted June 14, 2022 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted June 14, 2022 I still don't see a drug signature, and have requested it twice. garni
I have been taking 15 milligrams for the sixth week, my shortness of breath has been gone for the eighth day, but I agree that the weakness that happened to me with - it is still there. Do you think this drug has fully worked and I will still be weak? I feel weak after eating, I have to burn it and in a few minutes my energy returns. Link to comment

Moderator Onmyway Posted January 25, 2023 Moderator Share Posted January 25, 2023 Also, I have merged your post into your original introduction thread. Each member gets only one intro thread. Please, in the future, post into this thread and do not start any new ones. It helps us keep all your information in one place and allows us to advise you better.
