AJL2022 Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 Hello, My name is Karen and I am new here. My son Adam (27) was MIS diagnosed 5 years ago with Bipolar, while under many illict drugs. He stopped taking all drugs very quickly but was never taken off the anti psyche meds! After years of taking Lithium, Seroquil and Klonopin, Adam is a shell of himself struggling with every aspect of his life! He cant even go to the market without feeling intense anxiety. A year ago we spent more money then we have to be scanned and seen at the Amen Clinic, and just what we suspected, Adam DOES not have bipolar! With every Doctor failing us, we have found that noone has an exit plan to help get off these meds. Adam is frozen with fear from the pain and agony of tapering off the meds, and wakes up daily in torment! the sweet, fun, happy child I had has been destroyed and kept hostage by these anti psyche meds he has been told to take for past 5 years! He sees no end in sight. Getting off any of these meds makes him feel like he is crazy, as if the meds created the mental illness he never had! I am desperate to find anyone that can properly help Adam get off these poisonous medications that have taken over every spect of his life. I pray someone has answers or advise.
Administrator Altostrata Posted August 25, 2022 Administrator Posted August 25, 2022 Welcome, @AJL2022 It sounds like your son has attempted to go off his drugs? What times o'clock does he take each one, what are the current dosages? Are there any times of day when his symptoms are better or worse?
