Bika Posted September 23, 2022 Posted September 23, 2022 Hi It all began since 1.5 year when i lost my best friend a lot of pressure and stress was on me so one day i noticed that i had no emotions other than depression and anxiety and my cognition was very very low that i couldn't remember words or form sentences . The time passed and after one year , I began to regain my cognition and emotions maybe 50-60 % of what it was . Then i was hit by a depression wave and i lost it again I called a psychiatrist who prescribed me prozac 20 mg , I took it and i noticed after two weeks of taking it that iam not interested on anything and unmotivated and took the remain of my emotions so i stopped it 5 months ago and since then i didn't return to my half humanity 🥲 So i want to understand what has happened and how to regain my normal state March 2022- April 2022 Prozac 20 mg for 3 weeks

Administrator Altostrata Posted September 28, 2022 Administrator Posted September 28, 2022 It appears you are recovering from Prozac withdrawal syndrome. Since you've seen improvement so far, this will likely continue, very slowly. We have a group of people here who have fairly immediate adverse reactions to Prozac. Even after they go off the drug, symptoms such as emotional anesthesia might remain. We have seen this very slowly go away over months, like withdrawal syndrome. See Adverse reactions to an antidepressant within a few doses -- how long for recovery? Many people find fish oil and magnesium supplements helpful, see https://survivingantidepressants.org/index.php?/topic/36-king-of-supplements-omega-3-fatty-acids-fish-oil/ https://survivingantidepressants.org/topic/15483-magnesium-natures-calcium-channel-blocker/ This is not medical advice.
