Saeedqn Posted November 1, 2022 Posted November 1, 2022 Hi all, I hope you all are doing well, I am 21 years old and I just wanted to mention my story of using olanzapine for three months(2.5 mg for one month, and 5mg for two months). The psychiatrist gave me this med for stabilization( which I'm thinking now I could handle it with ease without med). Before using olanzapine, I was a keen and enthusiastic person who studies very hard with a perfect concentration. It was impossible to leave my study; I used to study all the day. The first month of usage was totally okay. But after one month I lost my whole motivation, and brain was literally void. I put an end to the usage by using 2.5 mg for one week. After Withdrawal, the first and the second that day the sleeping was an issue. But then it became normal. After a week of withdrawal, everything was fine(diet, stress, sleeping) EXCEPT my brain changed dramatically: I lost all of my motivation, I wasn't able to learn, concentrate, study, and work as before. Now, I am clean for three months and still I easily forget the trivial things, lack of motivation, and I don't study anymore like before.. I wanted to be a scientist and now I'm nothing. the only thing that remained in my life is I'm hoping to be like before one day. I am trying to force myself to study and work. It may sound silly but I try to have coffee and dark chocolate once a week in order to increase dopamine in my brain. June 5, 2022 - August 23, 2022: olanzapine, 2.5 mg for the first month and 5 mg for the rest.

Saeedqn Posted November 6, 2022 Author Posted November 6, 2022 nothing has changed signifacantly. When I study, things are fine(my concentration, and I learn fast) but after a while(two or three days), I forget everything. Annnd... sometimes I can't read because of my eyes. I know that this is because of the olanzapine since I can't stare at anything for more than two seconds. . Also, I can't hear well and people should repeat two or three times. When my friends talk about future, I can't stand it because I can't imagine the future. it wasn't like that. June 5, 2022 - August 23, 2022: olanzapine, 2.5 mg for the first month and 5 mg for the rest.

Saeedqn Posted November 9, 2022 Author Posted November 9, 2022 Not actually. Only my hearing skill. June 5, 2022 - August 23, 2022: olanzapine, 2.5 mg for the first month and 5 mg for the rest.
Administrator Altostrata Posted November 11, 2022 Administrator Posted November 11, 2022 Please explain more about the hearing skill. This is not medical advice. Saeedqn Posted November 12, 2022 Author Posted November 12, 2022 Well, after I stopped olanzapine, I don't hear some sentences correctly. Sometimes people should repeat themselves even three times. I guess this is because of my concentration. It's getting better.. and my eyes too. Oftentimes, I have suicide thoughts, and unwanted voices(that I am not able to control them) in my mind. June 5, 2022 - August 23, 2022: olanzapine, 2.5 mg for the first month and 5 mg for the rest.
Administrator Altostrata Posted November 13, 2022 Administrator Posted November 13, 2022 Have you seen a therapist or counselor for these thoughts? Saeedqn Posted November 13, 2022 Author Posted November 13, 2022 I don't trust them anymore. Please note that I hear voices IN my mind(such as playing a sad opera music. I can't stop it). I don't hear unwanted voices outside of my mind. June 5, 2022 - August 23, 2022: olanzapine, 2.5 mg for the first month and 5 mg for the rest.

Saeedqn Posted November 13, 2022 Author Posted November 13, 2022 Yes, a combination of them. June 5, 2022 - August 23, 2022: olanzapine, 2.5 mg for the first month and 5 mg for the rest.
