Hello everyone , my name is sharlene. I'm a 26 year old female that has been dealing with ptsd since 2013/14ish. I've been on antidepressants, anticonvulsants, & sleeping medications since then . Never had any kind of sleeping, RLS , or pain issues until my trauma . My whole life changed but worked my butt off to heal which I did and was able to work and start my life.  Thanksgiving of last year is when I went a week without my trintellex 20mg due to pharmacy being out of stock.  Was alot of back and forth that time.  I started withdrawaling and it was a NIGHTMARE! Fevers, terrible anxiety,  GI issues,  tremors , cold sweats , intrusive thoughts, heaving , nausea , headaches, insomnia, severe rls. My whole nervous was out of whack. And still is . I went on reddit to post my story which is where I found this amazing website ! I feel so lost still . My insomnia is the worse even my usual meds dont help much. I have some good days and some days I feel like I'm feeling the withdrawal again.  I know it's my nervous system trying to heal and should just be patient and kind to myself but I do miss the old me. The strong girl that could go through anything.

@sharleneyweenie in effect, you cold-turkeyed 20mg Trintellix and then got severe acute withdrawal, which is to be expected.

When did you go off Trintellix?

What are your usual meds? What times o'clock do you take each of your drugs, with their dosages?

If you have been taking a psychiatric drug cocktail for a month or 2, skipping a dose of any of them, or taking any of them off-schedule, could cause odd symptoms or, as happened with Trintellix, withdrawal symptoms.

If your drug schedule has been haphazard for a long time, you may have mistaken these drug-induced symptoms as other types of symptoms requiring psychiatric treatment.

It's important to take your psychiatric drugs on a consistent schedule from day to day.

My usual meds are an anticonvulsant for RLS which is gabapentin (900mg) but the time I withdrawaled was pregabalin 400 mg, which I take at night. I now take  pramipexole along with the gabapentin.  My antidepressant I'd take in after work 3pm before I withdrawaled.  Now I take it everyday at 1pm. Since I withdrawaled I've been having cognitive issues, not as severe as the 1st days,  dissociation where I dont feel like I'm really in the moment if that makes sense . Also anxiety (not as intense but still bothersome), confusion , irritability,  shortness of breath when I speak, insomnia , cant concentrate (not as intense anymore), memory issues, depression , intrusive thoughts (not as intense anymore) & not feeling mentally stable which makes me confused as in "why am I feeling this way?".
