nbindl76 Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 I am trying to find my way in this tapering journey. I have been on various psych meds 20+ years now. Ive decided i want my life back and off these drugs. I tried tapering off my ziprasidone a few times but hit withdrawals every time. I might have to try weighing the powder in the capsules not sure what else to do at this point. Tried tapering off my duloxetine a while back. Got down to 30mg from 60mg but again hit withdrawals. Psychiatrist is fine with me going off but keeps prescribing other pills. I believe the one is making me sick physically. Im tired of being on so many pills. I miss my old self. I need help on this journey. Duloxetine 30mg daily Ziprasidone 20mg daily Caplyta 42mg daily Hydroxyzine 10mg daily In the past few years: Celexa, lexapro, wellbutrin, lamictal, lithium, seroquel, effexor, prozac, clonazapam, buspar Omega 3, vitamins c, d, and b complex, b12, calcium, magnesium glycinate, multivitamin
Moderator Frogie Posted February 13, 2023 Moderator Posted February 13, 2023 @nbindl76 Welcome to SA. We are a volunteer ran site helping people taper off psychiatric medications or have tapered off and are now healing. This is your introduction page where you will receive information, ask questions and meet other members. We ask that you only have one introduction page so we can keep all your information in one place. Please add a signature. Include drugs, doses, dates, and discontinuations & reinstatements in the last 12-24 months. Also include supplements. This will help us give you the most accurate advice we can. Any drugs and supplements prior to 24 months ago can just be listed with start and stop years. Please use actual dates or approximate dates (mid-June, Late October) rather than relative time frames (last week, 3 months ago) Spell out months, e.g. "October" or "Oct."; 9/1/2016 can be interpreted as Jan. 9, 2016 or Sept. 1, 2016. Please leave out symptoms and diagnoses. A list is easier to understand than one or multiple paragraphs. This is a direct link to your signature: Account Settings – Create or Edit a signature.
