xapro
Hi everyone, I'm new in this forum (english is not my language). Can you tell me if this formulation of xanan oral drops (which I bought at the pharmacy, I did not make it, in my country it is sold regularly) can be used for water titration? Concentration: 0.75mg/ml Composition: active ingredient: alprazolam other components: alcohol, propylene glycol, sodium saccharinate, grapefruit flavor, purified water I would like to apply titration in water, then dissolve 3 drops in 75 ml of water; the concentration of a single drop is 0.025mg Basically, I would like to know whether 3 drops of solution mixes homogeneously in 75 ml of water, so whether titration in water is applicable. 2014 Xanax 1mg (Tablets) - Now Xanax 0.075mg (3 drops) Link to comment
Moderator Emeritus Onmyway Posted July 17, 2023 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted July 17, 2023 Hi @xapro You should use a small syringe for the medicine rather than the dropper because the droppers are not always precise. There are 1ml syringes that you can use - they are sometimes called insulin syringes to explain at the pharmacy. You may need a larger syringe as well for when you dilute in water. Omw Thank you for reply, the bottle have the dropper incorporated so in the 75 ml of water I have to put the drops, then I take the small amounts with a 1 ml syringe for tapering, this is my idea but I would like to know if the solution mixes homogeneously in water 2014 Xanax 1mg (Tablets) - Now Xanax 0.075mg (3 drops) Link to comment
Moderator Emeritus Onmyway Posted July 17, 2023 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted July 17, 2023 (edited) You will have to either call the manufacturer to find this info or look into the ingredients. If the ingredients say water you can dilute in water. Even if the dropper is incorporated in the bottle you may be able to remove it to out the syringe in the bottle. Otherwise you might waste a lot of medicine. Omw Edited July 17, 2023 by Onmyway "Nothing so small as a moment is insurmountable, and moments are all that we have.
