MoisesSantos21: State of constant tension/anxiety after stopping effexor (venlafaxine)

Recommended Posts

I took venlafaxine 150mg for 4 years (it did me great) but influenced by wrong opinions, I weaned off venlafaxine very quickly and after that I developed a state of constant tension/anxiety

24/7
It's like having anxiety 24 hours a day
My hands are shaking a lot
This anxiety/tension decreases a little at night
Things I've already tried:
ECT: 34 sessions
Almost all the most famous antidepressants and mood stabilizers
But that anxiety won't go away
Does anyone have the same symptom I have? going through the same thing as me?
And do you know what to do to improve?
I've been like this for 8 months now
thank you for your attention

You have withdrawal syndrome. Reinstating a small amount of the drug sometimes helps. You might try taking 10 beads of Effexor XR, the brand-name Effexor XR.

@AltostrataI never tried taking 10 beads, something strange happens when I go back on antidepressants, it works for a few days and then I feel bad again,What do you think about this?

I don't know. We don't treat depression, we deal with withdrawal syndrome here, and we often see people feel better if they take a small amount of drug again.

Click on the Browse/Forum link at the upper left corner of your screen. Two forums that would be useful for you are 1)Success Stories, and 2)Symptoms and Self Care.

There is also the search box on the upper right corner of your screen.
