How do you feel after reducing from 10mg to 5mg?

It was not bad but now i am going from 5 mg to 3mg and was really challenging

My plan is 3mg for 3 days then 2mg for 3 days then 1mg for 3 days and then quit

please advise

Suggest you go back to 5mg right away and look carefully at Tips for tapering off escitalopram (Lexapro) Tapering becomes more difficult at lower doses.

We would not advise this plan. Since you've already encountered mild withdrawal symptoms, yours is a plan for getting terrible withdrawal symptoms.

Actually I went to 3mg, can tolerate it even though first few hours taking the dose was not feeling good but stabilized later.

 

 

 

Will stay on it for another week and then go to 2.5 mg and see how it goes

Please give more detail. What happened after you started 3mg? What time o'clock do you take your drugs, with their dosages? How do you feel before and after each dose?

That is too big of a decrease and too soon, if you're still having withdrawal symptoms.

Started taking 3 mg Thursday morning after breakfast, slight headaches after few hours and flu like symptoms but later subside 

 

 

 

feel good before the dose. Sleep has some issues

We advise an observation period of a month, to see if withdrawal symptoms appear. You are planning to taper too fast.
