My story with antidepressants started in 2011. I used Prozac for ~1.5 year and Xanax+Nervium for ~1 month as I remember. After I came off all of them, then I started to use Cymbalta in 2014. I came off it in 2017 and after ~3 months interval, I had to start to use it again. Finally, I came off Cymbalta in June and had to start it again in this September since I received really severe results: dizziness, nausea, palpitation, sleep deprivation, tiredness, depression etc. after. My doctor says GAD has relapsed. To me, this is withdrawal syndrome. Especially in this August, I was kind of in a desperate situation. After I become more stable physically and emotionally, I'll try hyperbolic tapering this time. However, I think I need at least 6 months to try it.

How did you taper Cymbalta this last time? Your symptoms sounds very typical of WD symptoms.

I applied what my doctor said. I was on Cymbalta 60mg. Then I used Cymbalta 30mg for one month and finally I used Prozac 20mg for one month. Severe neck pain (due to disk bulging) started 2-3 weeks later after I gave up Prozac. 5 weeks later, my chronic disease(ulcerative colitis) got activated. 7-8 weeks later, all symptoms what I wrote came as time passed.

Over what timeframe did you do this? I'm confused, your doctor told you to switch to prozac to taper cymbalta?

I've checked out my whatsapp messages and I've noticed that I wrote timeframe incorrect. Here is the correct timeframe. After I gave up Cymbalta 60mg, I used Cymbalta 30mg for 2 months. Then I gave up 30mg and I used Prozac 20mg for one month. At this point, I was drug free. I've updated my signature accordingly.

Yes. As I know this is called cross-tapering. Doctors do this since Prozac has longer half life and they think it is easier to come off.

This is sort of like cross-tapering, but usually you taper on to one, while tapering off the other. This sounds like a direct switch. You went to 20mg prozac and dropped to zero from there?

 

What is happening right now? Are you wanting to reinstate the duloxetine?

After 4 month drug-free duration, unfortunately, I've already reinstated Duloxetine for one month or so. Physical symptoms has been reduced but depression (mostly existential) is still ongoing.

Duloxetine cannot be made into a liquid and taken by mouth, the pharmacy that claims this has made a mistake. From the FDA approval documents:

So how can they sell that product? In my country, in a such case, that pharmacy would be shut down immediately by the government.

In the US, companies can claim whatever they want until a complaint is filed. The patent you refer to has expired, it never became a product.
