Sade
5 hours ago, Sade said: It is written that no liquid form for duloxetine exists. I've found this forum while searching the liquid form of Cymbalta and before finding this forum, I had found this one: https://www.bayviewrx.com/formulas/Duloxetine-2-mg-ml-Oral-Suspension-Depression-Anxiety-Fibromyalgia-Neuropathic-Pain-Stress-Urinary-Incontinence . It's a liquid form for duloxetine. I have two questions: 1- I do not live in USA and cannot access this product unfortunately. Is there anyone using that product? What's their experiences? 2- As I know and the Tips post has pointed out that Cymbalta has gastro-resistant capsules. Can this liquid form really be effective and be safe for tapering? If yes, I will try to contact Ministry of Health of my country to access this product. Thanks you for answers. Sade
My story with antidepressants started in 2011. I used Prozac for ~1.5 year and Xanax+Nervium for ~1 month as I remember. After I came off all of them, then I started to use Cymbalta in 2014. I came off it in 2017 and after ~3 months interval, I had to start to use it again. Finally, I came off Cymbalta in June and had to start it again in this September since I received really severe results: dizziness, nausea, palpitation, sleep deprivation, tiredness, depression etc. after. My doctor says GAD has relapsed. To me, this is withdrawal syndrome. Especially in this August, I was kind of in a desperate situation. After I become more stable physically and emotionally, I'll try hyperbolic tapering this time. However, I think I need at least 6 months to try it. 2011-2012 Prozac 2013 Drug free 2014-2017 Cymbalta 60mg 2017 ~3 months drug free 2017-2023 February Cymbalta 60mg 2023 March-2023 May Cymbalta 30 mg 2023 May-2023 June Prozac 20mg 2023 June ~4 months drug free 2023 September-... How did you taper Cymbalta this last time? Your symptoms sounds very typical of WD symptoms. What is Withdrawal Syndrome? Here at SA, we recommend tapering by no more than 10% of your previous dose each month Why taper by 10% When did you reinstate and did you reinstate the full dose? How do you feel since reinstating? I've checked out my whatsapp messages and I've noticed that I wrote timeframe incorrect. Here is the correct timeframe. After I gave up Cymbalta 60mg, I used Cymbalta 30mg for 2 months. Doctors do this since Prozac has longer half life and they think it is easier to come off. 31 minutes ago, LotusRising said: What month did you get to zero from Cymbalta - could you please add that to your signature. Moderator LotusRising Posted October 31, 2023 Moderator Share Posted October 31, 2023 So, it sounds like you tapered for roughly 3 months? 1 hour ago, Sade said: Yes. As I know this is called cross-tapering. Doctors do this since Prozac has longer half life and they think it is easier to come off. This is sort of like cross-tapering, but usually you taper on to one, while tapering off the other. This sounds like a direct switch. You went to 20mg prozac and dropped to zero from there? What is happening right now?
