Drizzle
I have been successfully tapering off of 50mg Zoloft for 6 months now. Managed to go down by 20% every couple of months without side-effects and am now down to 20.5 mg. However, this is the second time now I have tried to go down to my next step 16.4 and both times I've had to go back up because of the side-effects. I seem to have gotten stuck; I've been on the 20.5 dose twice as long as any previous level. Has anyone else experienced this? Do I just need to wait longer, do I need to try going down a smaller percentage? I would stay on your current dose for at least a few weeks to stabilize before making another drop and would recommend making a smaller percentage drop as your body seems to have issues going from 20.5mg -> 16.4mg which is a 8% so you may want to try a 5% or a 2.5% drop instead. Drizzle
Has anyone experienced having to reinstate after bring stable for more than a month? I have been on zoloft 16.3mg for 4.5 weeks now with no issues. It was the hardest dose jump I've made so far, having to go down a half dose to make it here. Now suddenly after more than a month I am experiencing what feels very much like mild withdrawal out of nowhere (vertigo/diziness) could this be possible? So frustrating as I'm going at a snails pace as it is, I don't understand why my brain would randomly decide to be not ok with it, nothing has changed. 2013-10mg Lexapro 2020-20mg Lexapro 2022 August-Desvenlafaxine 2022 October-Venlafaxine 2023 May-Zoloft 50g 2023 May-Cold-turkey for 3 weeks 2023 June-Reinstated Zoloft 50mg 2024 January-Tapered down to 20.5mg 2024 February-16.8mg, too much of a drop, reinstated to half drop 18mg 2024-April successful drop to 16.8 Link to comment

I did initially contribute it to a hangover. But it lasted several days after the alcohol would have left my system. I am somewhat stressed but only because I am distressed at being unwell. I don't do Marijuana and I don't excessively exercise. I guess I will try to updose and see if it goes away.

You might want to hold where you are for a while longer and see if you improve. I would recommend avoiding alcohol while tapering.
