MK1234: Has anyone every had vivid dreams that continued every day even after discontinuing medication?

I have been asking everywhere I can and no doctors seem to know whats going on so I wanted to try here.

In February 2023 I started trialling different antidepressants, since then I have been on: Escitalopram, sertraline, fluoxetine, bupropion, desvenlafaxine. For long periods in between (up to six months) I was totally off of everything. However ever since February when I first tried escitalopram I have had vivid dreams every single night on every single medication and when I am not on any medications. Nothing I do helps at all- I have taken benzos/sleeping pills/weed and they persist.

The issue is that its totally exhausting, I struggle to wake up and to stay away throughout the day because the dreams are so vivid its like I never rest just move between two realities. People who have them as a side effect will understand.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice would be amazing.

These avenues might be contributing to your current issues. We would advise relying on these substances to aid with sleep.

Also, while you wait for others to leave feedback, you can also search the site for vivid dreams by following the directions at How to find just about anything on this site.

Thanks,

I have had vivid dreams since I started trialling different ADs in February 2023 and no matter which ones I have been on or how long I am off them (periods of over 6months) the dreams have persisted. This gives me chronic fatigue in the day and makes it very hard for me to stay awake. Does anyone else have experience with this? When did it stop? I have seen many sleep drs and my psychiatrist seems to have no idea why this has happened.
