Just curious 16 hours ago, sandman79 said: Maybe not beating faster just notice it more . Physiologically speaking, your heart rate will typically slow when you lie down, but it's certainly possible that you would just notice it more. This is likely due to the fact that when you're up and around, you are busy and your mind is occupied with other things, so you aren't focussing on it. When you lie down, the mind is less occupied, and tends to turn inward. This is why I don't sleep well lol- as soon as I lie down, the rumination starts! Moderator Jane318 Posted October 1 Moderator Posted October 1 On 9/29/2024 at 3:23 PM, sandman79 said: Hello again. Wanted to know what people used to have regulat bowel movements? I found that incorporating fermented foods into my diet helped me a lot. "Real" sauerkraut (such as Bubbles brand, found in the refrigerated section), Kim Chi, etc. I try to eat a little bit - even just a heaping teaspoon, every day. Homemade kefir and yogurt are good, too. (Store-bought, even the price brands, are processed so much there is not as much live bacteria left, plus they have tons of sugar.) Yes, chewing more / eating more slowly is very important to proper digestion, something I struggle with as I have been a life-long food-wolfer. Magnesium helps with this, but looks like you don't tolerate mg glycinate. Maybe try another form? Such as magnesium citrate, which I can't take because it gives me diarrhea. (I take magnesium threonate.) Healthy salts, such as Himalayan, celtic, and Redmond's Real Salt, as SOOOOO good for you. Table salt is bad because it contains none of the other essential trace minerals that keeps you electrolytes in balance. Our bodies need sodium to get water into the cell (hydration). Plus drinking plenty of water. I try to drink several quarts of filtered water with trace minerals added every day. (But none 30 minutes before eating and 60 minutes after - dilutes digestive juices.) Exercise helps - even just a short walk after eating promotes healthy digestion. Finally, because I am A+ blood type (these people tend to be low in stomach acid), I take a 300 mg Betaine HCL (Freeda) tablet when I eat meat with my meal. Really helps with digestion. Hope this gives you some ideas to try! 2 I am not a doctor. My comments are based on my personal experience with ADs and tapering. Consult your doctor about your own medical decisions. 1985-2010 (est.) - various ADs including Wellbutrin, Elavil, Prozac, Zoloft. dosages unk. 1991-1992 - stopped AD while to conceive and during pregnancy. Resumed 1993 (?). 2005 (est.) - tried to stop, severe symptoms. Resumed meds. 2010 (est) - started Celexa (dose unk) 2016 (est) - started Effexor, working up to 112.5 mg/day. Stayed at this dose for many years. 2023 - Feb. began linear tapering off Effexor. Switched to hyperbolic tapering in April 2023. By July 12, 2024 at 1.36 mg / day. July 13, 2024 - up-dosed to 1.44 mg / day to address severe withdrawal symptoms. Felt somewhat better by next day; symptoms continue to improve. Other meds: 75 mcg/day Levothyroxine for hypothyroidism Supplements: Vitamin D3 (5,000 IU), Boron, Magnesium Threonate (3 per day of 2000 mg with 145 mg Mg), Vitamin E (every other day), Lugol's iodine (4 drops/day); Omega 3's (currently 1 capsule Krill oil in morning, 2 capsules DHA-1000 Fish oil, one in afternoon and one in evening); Adrenal "cocktail" once or twice per day (– ¾ ts cream of tarter plus ¼ tsp Celtic salt dissolved in water. Taken with Vitamin C.) My Intro Topic: Jane318: Tapering off Effexor - Struggling at the End Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed. Jeremiah 17:14a.

sandman79 Posted October 1 Author Posted October 1 Ok wanted to ask some questions here. Since I noticed i was having some itching from cheese, I cut out dairy. I know that probiotics and fiber are great for the gut. And I haven't tried the fermented foods cause was worried about the histamine issue . I am getting fiber through oatmeal carrots and other veggies plus almond butter. Plus before the meds i did have some ibs d but wasn't terrible under control. But have to watch for certain stuff that might mess it up. How am I supposed to get good probiotics histamine is an issue with them. I am trying to get gut health in order and try to make sure going to bathroom is going OK. I know things I can do to help going to bathroom that work but I don't want.to rely on that would rather try and get regular . And I know wd has thrown everything around and takes times to heal . But keeping gut healthy is important I know that there are some on here that had same stuff happen just wanted some opinions . April 7 2024 started Prozac 10 mg May 11 2024 last day of prozac 10 mg. It's definitely individual for sure totally understand. And totally understand the histamine has nothing to do with being regular . Just know that yogurt, probiotics are ways to help. I am walking when I get off from work. The ways I know help to help is pink himilayan salt with hot water. But that is a powerful way. It does work. But diarreha. I am not trying to be a pain on here just trying to figure out the best ways. If I could get the bowels more frequent would be a releif. sandman79 Posted October 2 Author Posted October 2 Hello. Wanted to ask cause I have read so much on here and it's gets overwhelming. My current symptoms are slow bowels. Which i guess could be constipation. Here is what I try and works. I am sensitive to a lot of things chia seeds even small amounts were powerful. Prunes worked great but seemed they messed with me a little after couple days of using. Might try again not sure. Extra virgin olive oil works also but also seems it can have some effects. I got vegan gluten free and kosher pink himalayan salt. I notice if I take smaller amounts I go but I still have diarreha. if I don't use anything it's solid but very little very little. I am walking 30 35 mins a day well over a mile. I had ibs d before all of this. But it's wasn't bad and managed well. So I know i am in in withdrawal from this crap. Does this go away ever. I can't rely on laxatives and stuff. And I know that himalyan salt is good for you just wish I wasn't so sensitive to about everything. And I started magnesium citrate today 25 mg. And I know it works also for constipation anyone in my shoes here April 7 2024 started Prozac 10 mg May 11 2024 last day of prozac 10 mg. May 19 2024 start of lexapro 5 mg.
