Of course wd is hard on the stomach and cause a lot of stuff to go hay wire . And I did eat pot roast lastnight in the crock pot and says that's high histamine.  Explains the itching and only thing I added different. Wasnt terrible itching just felt like a hair on my nose and face.  Just wish stomach would get on track here. I don't want to run in to a sibo or any other stuff. I know upset stomach and bowel issues are most common. I just want to get them back on track but it is hard to when ur histamine and being sensitive to things.

Need some advice please. You know i have had the slow bowels. And I can go if i use himilayan salt in hot water, or if use teaspoon of olive oil on empty stomach. But it all causes diarehha. My question is we all need to go. And if I don't use anything it's more solid and very minimal. Should i continue to use the methods i have been doing but I don't want to become reliant I have tried to read and find others but it's way different . Could you give me you advice or send me somewhere. What would you do

Can you do this but not as much at one time and do it a couple times a day? Maybe a slower more frequent help. Otherwise I have no idea.

1 teaspoon of olive oil works. It seems the more safer route. It just feels like this will never end sometimes.

I don't think you understand...do 1/2 tsp twice a day. Maybe that would prevent the diarrhea and help you become regular.

I know wd throws everything at us at different times. I have been noticing i am now feeling upset stomach after eating. Its not terrible but sucks. It goes away about an hour or 2 afterwards.  My diet has pretty much stayed the same.  I haven't had any issues with getting upset stomach ? For over a month. Appetite was really strong except for the last couple days and seemed that I am not eating all day long.  I don't think it's food cause it just started 2 to 3 days ago. Is this just withdrawal switching up on me.

Hello kind of lost at my next move here. I am now developed more sensitivity to more foods that I have been eating fine for the.last couple mothns. I have been eating rotissere chicken the most so far. Yesterday started having some itching after eating. And started getting upset stomach afterwards from foods last 3 days. I am reading up on histamine and have already cut.other foods out that were causing them issues. Now I am getting it with other foods that I have been totally fine on. This is a serious challenge to figure out . Has anyone got any good info on the best course of action on this?

I am not knowledgeable of histamine issues, but I do know that the rotisserie chicken (such as from Costco or grocery stores) has tons of bad stuff in it.  It may be the oil / additives they use that is causing the irritation?  The only way I know to avoid all the cr$$p they put in our food is to purchase organic, whole foods, and cook them yourself with healthy oils, organic herbs / spices.  Simple, one-ingredient dishes.  Easy to pop a chicken breast or thigh into a crockpot or insta-pot and serve with cooked fresh vegetables, e.g.  The Weston Price Foundation is a fabulous resource.  Here's one podcast on this topic that may be of interest: Anxiety, Allergies, & Food Sensitivities

Ah...  Well, now you know to avoid Walmart rotisserie chicken, for sure.  It is possible you've become sensitized over time to whatever they add, too.   I used to buy them from Kroger and Costco, but stopped once I realized how "polluted" they are. You can search the Weston Price Foundation website for other articles / podcasts on histamine issues.

I am so sorry you are going through this.  WD is bad enough, without having to deal with food issues.

It is hard for me not to get horribly angry - both with the "system" and at myself for being duped for so many years.  But we can only go forward and prolonging our stay with negative emotions only impedes our progress / healing, I'm convinced.  And I always remind myself that as bad as it is, others have it even worse.  This week, I am grateful for an intact roof over my head, electricity, access to food, etc. as I think of the victims of Hurricane Helene, war all around the world, famine in Africa...  As hard as it is, I try to write down every day things for which I can be grateful.  Hang in there, you will get through this.  Prayed for you this morning.

I appreciate that. And I think you might be on to something with maybe become sensitive to the ingredients. I thought that the food was.my go to. Easy and everything. But I had a couple I placed in the fridge and was.munching on them for days. And I think that may have made it worse for me now that I am thinking about it. I will just make it at home now oh well. I think it sitting in the fridge didn't help me any for me. I know that histamine builds up pretty high especially in the fridge.like that and the.cooking process plus the bad stuff in it. Hopefully it will pass in the coming days and be better. I agree some people have it worse than others for sure. I am praying for you also. We all need just another to comment or interact with amd get some more insight on things. I appreciate it so much. Hope to hear from you again

Symptoms do evolve and change as you progress through this journey.  It is what it is.  Keep your journal, and identify the problems as you go.  That's all any of us can do.  @Jane318 is 100% correct- buy whole foods, organic if you can afford it and cook things yourself.  I eat nothing out of a package anymore- my gut is just too sensitive.  If I eat everything clean, prepared by me, I feel fine.  I don't eat chicken, but if I did, it would be grain-fed, and cooked at home with my own spiced, with no fillers or anything.

1995- 2007- On and off multiple antidepressants (Prozac, Paxil, Effexor, Wellbutrin, escitalopram). Memory poor- can’t remember dates. Always tapered fast or CT.  2007- tapered Wellbutrin, zopiclone and escitalopram over one month to get pregnant.  Withdrawal hell for many years.

Thanks you for stopping by again. And the advice . I appreciate you so much. I agree I just hope that it was just the chicken messing with me . I did feel upset stomach the last 3 to 4 days. But today it was better. Of course I ate eggs 3 different times cause they are low histamine. some oatmeal and some almond butter. Giving stomach a break today . Bowels are still not great. But I take the things I know will help. Which oive oil seems to help a little. Himalyan salt definitely works. But all give me diarreha usually in the morning and that's it for the day. Should I be worried about sibo or anything like that . I know the bowels get messed up quite a bit . And since I am not going like I should . Or should I take senna a natural laxative on occasion.i haven't been back to a dr since August. All blood work was normal then. Weighed 212 then now I weigh 183. That's with clothes on.

@sandman79Hi, just a thought but do you eat a lot of eggs? They can cause constipation because of their high protein content. I eat eggs but have cut down on them recently because they give me a headache and make me feel a bit sickly.

2008 10 mg Citalopram, 2.5 mg bendroflumethiazide

2021 reduced Citalopram over three years,2023 5.2 mg Citalopram for approx. 1 year

Sept 2023 taken off Citalopram and bendroflumethiazide , put on Amitriptyline 10 mg and Ramipril 2.5 mg

October 2023 taken off Amitriptyline and Ramipril put on Propranolol 10 mg

October 2023 put on Losartan 25 mg

November 2023 taken off Losartan on Propranolol 10 mg

December 2023 now on 2.5 mg bendroflumethiazide + Citalopram 0.5 mg.

February 2024, taken off bendroflumethiazide, on bisoprolol 1.25 mg

February 2024, taken off bisoprolol, on ramipril 1.25 mg + 0.5mg Citalopram, stopped ramipril. June 2024 0.45 mg Citalopram. July 204 0.4 mg. ( nothing else). October 2024 0.2 mg Citalopram possibly for a few weeks error in measuring. Oct. 15th back up to 0.3 mg, symptoms too bad.

@sandman79 Hi, I'm not suggesting that eggs are causing your constipation but maybe they are not helping it? As you know, I have slow peristaltic action too so like you am trying to find answers. I don't know how many you eat but maybe try cutting down on them to see if it makes a difference?

@sandman79 I understand, it's totally frustrating and we are all desperately trying to find answers. Try not to stress out, stress makes constipation worse. I hope you find relief soon.🙏😊

Just hard to know what's coming next. And bowels I don't like being slow cause I don't want tonget things like sibo or anything. But trying to be cautious

If it were me, I would not be overly concerned with frequency, as long as you are not so constipated that you have a lot of pain when you go.  I would just try to focus on eating healthy, incorporating fiber-rich foods, such as apples, prunes, etc., foods you can tolerate.  And doing the other things you are doing - light exercise, etc.  I would not do the Himalayan salt treatment too often, as frequent diarrhea is not good either.  The gas is symptom of poor digestion.  Here's a good article on things you can do to improve digestion:  Seven Tips to Enhance Digestion…And Get the Most Out of the Food You Eat.  And general article on this topic: How To Restore Digestive Health

I am not a doctor. My comments are based on my personal experience with ADs and tapering. Consult your doctor about your own medical decisions.

1985-2010 (est.) - various ADs including Wellbutrin, Elavil, Prozac, Zoloft.  dosages unk.

1991-1992 - stopped AD while to conceive and during pregnancy.  Resumed 1993 (?).

2005 (est.) - tried to stop, severe symptoms.  Resumed meds.

2010 (est) - started Celexa (dose unk)

2016 (est) - started Effexor, working up to 112.5 mg/day.  Stayed at this dose for many years.

2023 - Feb. began linear tapering off Effexor. Switched to hyperbolic tapering in April 2023.  By July 12, 2024 at 1.36 mg / day.

July 13, 2024 - up-dosed to 1.44 mg / day to address severe withdrawal symptoms.  Felt somewhat better by next day; symptoms continue to improve.

@sandman79 I tried senokot, fybogel and glycerin suppository and I had diarrhea and stomach upset so now I just drink warm water in the mornings. I also worried about taking it and it's  affect on withdrawal which stressed me a bit. Btw, It's normal for some not to have a bowel movement every day. Stress, diet, sedentary lifestyle can cause constipation, I think this was my problem to begin with as a result of the effect of withdrawal symptoms.
