@sandman79 hi, wondering if you were put under for the upper scope you had done for your stomach ?

2021:  started celexa 10mg feb 2nd 

feb 25th took my last 10g; feb 26th 5mg; feb 27th 5mg; feb 28th 2021 cold turkey 

currently taking mag

Yes I was. 

April 7 2024 started Prozac 10 mg

May 11 2024 last day of prozac 10 mg. May 19 2024 start of lexapro 5 mg. June 10 last day of lexapro 5 mg

July 1 started hydroxyzine 25mg for anxiety.

July 22 stopped hydroxyzine 

No drugs as of July 22 . Ginger tea on occasion, just healthy diet. Pretty sure Magnesium glycinate isn't good for me . Was taking fish oil but haven't for a while. Eating a lot of chicken, fish, vegetables like cauliflower, green beans, carrots,organic saltines,extra virgin olive oil also. a lot of non gmo . Recently have some histamine issues. Still have ongoing slow bowel movements And a lot of water.

Never had issues with magnesium, ginger, probiotics or DGL.

 

@LostInCanada hey wanted to ask a question cause you have helped so much already. I am now all a sudden getting a slight upset stomach and some reflux after eating my regular salmon which is flash frozen and boil cause I watch out for histamine as much as possible. Have you had any of this? I know probably cut it out and I know your not a doctor. But I don't trust to many drs. I am kind of sensitive to things but has gotten slightly better

Eating a lot of chicken, fish, vegetables like cauliflower, green beans, carrots,organic saltines,extra virgin olive oil also. a lot of non gmo . Recently have some histamine issues. Still have ongoing slow bowel movements And a lot of water.

I know it takes time with the stomach issues. Just didn't know if I was havingbissues with meat being harder on me . Was just curious

I am allergic to fish. Salmon is very fatty. Fatty foods can cause reflux. 

Right now I am in a wave and almost everything is upsetting my stomach. Total nausea, reflux, increased digestive issues. Soda crackers, ginger, chicken soup, toast with honey and junkie jello are about it for me at the moment. 

 I am not a medical professional. My comments are based on my personal experience and information on this site.

Seems i am getting reflux from about everything also. Can feel it in my chest little bit little in throat . Lips feel weirdo often. Could this be histamine issue as well? Just wild cause I have been eating the same stuff and have had no issues.

@LostInCanada I seem to be doing great and then this happens . I just get overwhelmed at the twists and turns. I had some slight reflux here and there early on and adjusted, but now it's staying around just after I eat. And sticks around for a while till I eat again. I have adjusted everytime and fixed the issue and have adjusted few things now. And I know it's withdrawal again and a wave. I ate oats this morning and it flared up lunch had cod and potato it flared up but not as bad.

Sorry to keep tagging you. Just an emotional day . After doing better for a little bit then it comes back and you feel like crap . Really gets emotional

Don't I know it. I wish I had the answers. I sleep with a wedge pillow. There is some exercises to do that can be helpful. 

These drugs brutalize the digestive system. Try little sips of water. Are you still using DGL?

I started it this morning took a lower does around 35 40 mg and it didn't seem to mess with me

I know you have luck with it, but didn't know if you were still using or not. Does it take time for it to work?

I cut the salmon cause of the fat. My diet has been pretty straight forward. Rolled oats,almond butter which cut down on that also, saltines which I cut down on also,organic potatoes, cod fish flash frozen, mahi flash frozen, organic carrots, I haven't introduced any other foods back in yet.

Hey girl. I just googled a symptom that I have today . I notice a burning sensation of the tongue and nose. It says it's can be the reflux or gerd. Have you had this before

Like what in the world . Guess I will try to eat vegetables more the next couple days a long with oatmeal maybe. I have saltines also. The dgl doesn't seem to mess with me today seemed to help this evening. I read where it can help more after a couple of days use .

Have you tried quercetin at all for food sensitivity

I haven't. My hubby used it for allergies. He has never been on SSRIs. I am very conservative about trying things but others have used it on here.

April 7 2024 started Prozac 10 mg

May 11 2024 last day of prozac 10 mg. May 19 2024 start of lexapro 5 mg. June 10 last day of lexapro 5 mg

July 1 started hydroxyzine 25mg for anxiety.

July 22 stopped hydroxyzine 

No drugs as of July 22 . Ginger tea on occasion, just healthy diet. Pretty sure Magnesium glycinate isn't good for me . Was taking fish oil but haven't for a while. Eating a lot of chicken, fish, vegetables like cauliflower, green beans, carrots,organic saltines,extra virgin olive oil also. a lot of non gmo . Recently have some histamine issues. Still have ongoing slow bowel movements And a lot of water.

I would love to keep taking the dgl but and I thank you for the recommendation and this time was alot easier to handle which is alot of improvement . But the slight stimulation i don't want . But I will try it again

And the weird thing is I didn't get stimulated till like 4 to 5 days. Is that even possible?

I would google side effects of Gavescon. None of these otc drugs should be used regularly.

Thanks. I have also. And does it make sense to have a slight reaction 4 to 5 days out? I figured would be within couple hours or that night

Not really. Usually a reaction happens quickly. Also DGL has a half life of 6-10 hours but I am not a chemist.

Maybe I am just in a small wave right now and it isn't bothering me. That's the hard part about this you never know .

Hey girl wanted to ask you a question once again. I have beennusing olive oil to stimulate  bowel movement.  And works great for me. Has for a while. Question is and I know anything is possible. I notice last couple days feel stimulated. Of course king of in a wave last 5 6 days with reflux. Which dgl doesnt seem to be a problem and works. But could olive oil cause a wave? It's weird!! I know it's trial and error and one big experiment to find what works for you?

So I don't know if it's a wave or the olive oil.  That's what sucks about this whole process

Just know that I have been fine with it at these doses. I did stop for about 2 to 3 days when reflux started but everything was causing reflux so I started it back.
