Bravingthestorm
Hi everyone, I’ve already shared my story in detail, but I’m looking for advice on how to best manage both Zoloft and Delorazepam withdrawal symptoms. I was originally on Xanax, but I switched to Delorazepam, a long-acting benzodiazepine primarily available in Italy, which I’m currently tapering very slowly. I’ve been off Zoloft for about 3-4 weeks now and still dealing with withdrawal symptoms. I’ve been practicing hypnotic meditation, and I also use omega-3 supplements and magnesium glycinate. My doctor suggested taking Trazodone and Lyrica to help manage the symptoms, but I’m hesitant to start new medications at this point. Has anyone had experience with a similar combination of withdrawals and treatments? Any advice on managing symptoms naturally or insights on whether to start the new medications would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your support! Edited September 11 by Emonda Name to title 1. End of 2023: I started taking a few pills of Xanax. 2. Neurologist visit: I consulted a neurologist to help me taper off Xanax. Instead, I was prescribed Abilify. My first attempt to taper off Xanax failed. 3. Continuation: I continued taking both Abilify and Xanax for a few months. 4. May 2024: Zoloft was added to my treatment. The dosage was increased quickly. 5. Gastrointestinal issues: Due to significant gastrointestinal problems, Zoloft was abruptly stopped. It was then resumed at 25 mg for two weeks. 6. Current situation: I have been free from Zoloft for around 3-4 weeks. Abilify stopped in july 2024 no wds. still on benzo (delorazepam) slow tapering Link to comment

If you're still experiencing withdrawal symptoms from the zoloft taper, you might hold your delorazepam taper until you stabilize. It could make it more difficult for you to know if you're tolerating the delorazepam reductions. I would say you're right to be hesitant. We don't recommend adding medications on this site, due to the potential for further nervous system destabilization. Plus, you would then find yourself in a situation of needing to taper the additional medications. We suggest to Keep it simple, slow and stable. What symptoms in particular are you needing help with?
