notBatman
Hello! I am 29 years with paranoid schizophrenia. I don't have a really bad case of it as some people unfortunately do. I been mostly without medication. Sometimes I was prescribed antipsychotic as needed rarely everyday. With exception for a few years back I had some months in psych ward I was on Clozapine. Got lots of side effects from various APs so I landed on Amisulpride. It was good when times were bad, but i got high prolactin levels so i had to quit. This year has been hard because I got a bad episode with delusions so I went into isolation. Psychiatrist forced me into psych ward because I went no contact even tho threatment was voluntary, been there for almost half a year. Forced on medications Olanzapine injections high dose then perphenazine (becuase of Olanzapine injections shortage in my country) then back on Olanzapine again because Pephenazine was living hell. I lost all will to do anything. I became depressed and forgot meaning of life. Finally I was released in August but on forced/involuntary threatment and medication. I been battling government since i was released and finally I don't need to do forced injections or medications. After complaining to county govenor and getting approval to be medication free. Im still forced threatment but i dont mind. I truly believe being around good people and having a purpose helps with my disease much more than antipsychotics ever will. This is my case doesn't mean its the same for someone else. Ill try tapering off Olanzapine. Its two weeks since last injection ER 300 mg. My Psychiatrist prescribed me 10 mg melting tablets and say atleast i should taper first if I am going off medication. If anyone know when I should start taking the melting tablets and how i can taper off id appreciate it so much. Can I make a liqud from these type of tablets? How do i measure if so? Anyway😀 Have a good weekend! Clozapine 300 mg for three months and quit cold turkey 2020 Amisulpride 200 mg occasionally. Quit cold turkey 2021-2023 Perphenazine 108,2 mg depot for a few months. changed antipsychotics 2024 Olanzapine 300 mg depot every three weeks. Currently tapering from 10mg 2024 Link to comment
