zen81 Posted January 7 Posted January 7 So after successfully withdrawing from paxil. its been 3-4 months and no issues however the other day when i could not sleep i had some minor surges trying to sleep whoch upset me a little. i tried to fall asleep and managed 2-4 hours and a full nights sleep next day. however i m unable to sleep tonight. i m also coughing due to a sore throat. can someone help me please ? thankyou February: 10 mg citalopram - for anxiety related to sleep ( getting adrenal surges on sleep onset ) March : Mirtazapine 15 mg as citalopram side effects unbearable - Mirtazapine prescribed for sleep. Stopped Citalopram cold turkey April: Anxiety around sleep still bad put on Sertraline 50 mg - continued with Mirtazapine - 15 mg June: Anxiety around sleep in good control and able to sleep well most nights. Stopped Mirtazapine 15 mg cold turkey based on Doctors advise May 31st 2022 started 15 ml mirtazapine for sleep onset anxiety june 30 2022 started paxil 25 cr stopped mirtazapine dec 2022 reduced paxil to 12.5 cr based on advise from psych currently on paxil 12.5 cr tried to quit cold turkey with really bad symptoms reinstated at 12.5 cr

I have some questions please, to help fill out your drug history. Once we have your answers, we will try to help you. Looking at your drug signature: You firs lists several months, Feb, Mar, April, June - what year? Because the next three months listed - May, June, Dec - all indicate 2022. Should this be 2024? Please list everything chronologically. May 31 2022 - started 15 ml mirtazapine. Did you mean 15 mg? What does "cr" in your drug signature stand for? Your post says your are 3 to 4 months off Paxil. But your drug signature indicates you are on 12.5 cr Paxil after trying to quit CT and then reinstating. But doesn't say when. We really need accurate dates and dosages for your drug history, especially for the last year or so, before we can advise you. Also, what do you mean by "surges?" Held until 21 Dec, final dose 1.4 mg/day) Jan 2025 - 1.36 -> 1.33 -> 1.29 -> 1.25 mg/day Effexor (10% per BrassMonkey slide taper). Holding 3 weeks.

zen81 Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 Thankyou Jane I will update my signature to reflect the correct dates. I reinstated paxil 12.5 end of Sep 2023 and tapered off by July 24 and then quit. The reason i first was on anti anxiety was due to sensations in heart and stomach while falling asleep. Its like when i am trying to fall asleep body jolts awake and then i need to try again so not getting good sleep. its like a surge in heart and wakefulness after that. Also i have a bad cough which doesn't help sleep either. Paxil cr is extended release.
