Saraw Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) I’m almost finished tapering off Zyprexa, thankfully with no issues. How long should I wait to start tapering Leprexo? Moderator FireflyFyte Posted January 7 Moderator Posted January 7 Hi Saraw, Welcome to Surviving Antidepressants. Thank you for summarizing your drug history in your signature. Congratulations on nearing the end of your Zyprexa taper. What is your planned jumping dose? As far as how long to wait, would advise at least several months so you can monitor how you react to jumping off the Zyprexa before beginning another taper. Thanks, Firefly Pre- October 2022: Wellbutrin, Escitalopram, Citalopram, Sertraline, Adderall IR, Vyvanse, Propranolol, Buspar, Ativan, and Latuda Oct 13, 2022 - Oct 24, 2022 and Oct 31, 2022 - Present: Zyprexa (2.5 mg). Saraw Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 Thx. I plan to jump off Zyprexa at .2 mg in about a month. Moderator FireflyFyte Posted January 7 Moderator Posted January 7 0.2mg is a touch high of a jumping dose so would give yourself 3-6 months after finishing your Zyprexa taper to see how you react (and hopefully don't) before starting to drop your Leprexo. Saraw Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 What dose would you advise to jump off at? Should I really wait that long even though my taper was without issue? The decision is ultimately up to you but a few months gives your system time to stabilize and relax before introducing additional changes.
