If These Walls Could Talk: Stories Behind Toronto's Psychiatrict Patient Built Wall.
Toronto's Centre for Addiction and Mental Health was first built in 1850. It was known as The Provincial Lunatic Asylum. This film traces the history of the institution and tells the stories of some of its' patients, who despite degrading treatment were able to escape or rebel. It also explores contemporary narratives of 'mad' people, as they cope in today's world. Filmmaker Naomi Berlyne will be in attendance.
