Gatena posted a topic in Events, actions, controversiesHi all, I am writing from the BBC. The Victoria Derbyshire show in the UK are producing a short film about anti-depressant withdrawals and are looking to speak to individuals who have used local street drug dependency services for support throughout this process. If you are someone who has used the support services of street drug charities in the UK for antidepressant withdrawal and are interested in taking part, please do reach out to me via the personal messaging system . We appreciate the very sensitive nature of this difficult experience and anything spoken about will remain confidential unless otherwise agreed. Many thanks.
I found this documentary to be very succinct in conveying my perspective as someone who has a mental illness and has been through the mental health system and is still currently "chemically incarcerated". I believe it will be free to watch until tomorrow after which I assume one must purchase or rent the documentary. It is called CrazyWise. https://vimeo.com/201079582/37ea6dd390 I hope you find it helpful. GFT
We are working on a documentary film about the dangers and false promises of psychiatric drugs. We have a team that includes an experienced director who has worked on Oscar nominated films. We hope to reach a mainstream audience with a high quality film that will lead people to question the medical model of treating human suffering and distress with pharmaceutical chemicals. We have great advisors including Bob Whitaker and Laura Delano. The heart of the film will be survivors' stories of how psychiatric drugs harmed them. We are looking for people willing to share their story on camera. If you are interested please contact us, Lynn Lynn_p_cunningham@yahoo.com, 917 282 0710 Wendy firstname.lastname@example.org
AliG posted a topic in In the mediaI haven' seen this mentioned here. I was wondering if anyone has seen it ? It's a documentary on youtube about the marriage between psychiatry and "Big Pharma", and the history of psychotrophic drugs , psychiatry, and the systematic duping of the public, all in the name of money. It shows the devastating effects on people's lives, both on and trying to get off these drugs and the chilling way the drug companies have gone about medicating as many men, women and children as they can., and it's getting worse. It's worth watching. it's long , but you can watch it in segments. Let me know what you think.
