Hi my name is Shawn5150 . And I was forced to take one monthly dose of envaga sustenna . The drug blocks dopamine receptors so I can't feel any pleasure. Is there anyone who has been through that can tell me if my brain will go back to what it was before taking this horrible med. Thank you

Hi shawn,

I joined the new topic you started with your original intro/update thread, its one topic per member in this sections. You can use this thread as your ongoing journal to track progress, write about symptoms, ask questions and communicate with the community, add to it whenever you want.

Why did you take zoloft for 2 days?

It would be great if you would put your drug and withdrawal history in your signature. Doing this helps people understand your context, it appears below each of your posts. Here are instructions for how to do it:

My Introduction Thread

Full Drug and Withdrawal History

Brief Summary

Several SSRIs for 13 years starting 1997 (for mild to moderate partly situational anxiety) Xanax PRN ~ Various other drugs over the years for side effects

2 month 'taper' off Lexapro 2010

Short acute withdrawal, followed by 2 -3 months of improvement then delayed protracted withdrawal

DX ADHD followed by several years of stimulants and other drugs trying to manage increasing symptoms

Failed reinstatement of Lexapro and trial of Prozac (became suicidal)

May 2013 Found SA, learned about withdrawal, stopped taking drugs...healing begins.

Protracted withdrawal, with a very sensitized nervous system, slowly recovering as time passes

Supplements which have helped: Vitamin C, Magnesium, Taurine

Bad reactions: Many supplements but mostly fish oil and Vitamin D

June 2016 - Started daily juicing, mostly vegetables and lots of greens.

Aug 2016 - Oct 2016 Best window ever, felt almost completely recovered

Oct 2016 -Symptoms returned - bad days and less bad days.

April 2018 - No windows, but significant improvement, it feels like permanent full recovery is close.

None of the side effects are necessarily permanent.

If you have a gloomy disposition, you may have to deal with that for the rest of your life. We say if you want a life without psychiatric drugs, you have to take the responsibility to manage your symptoms yourself. Otherwise, you keep on going back into "the system."

You only took it for 2 days, its unlikely it will cause anything permanent. It was good you stopped taking it. Please be patient while you wait to recover from Invega Sustenna, taking more drugs will just make things worse.

Here is the link to our symptoms and self care section, you may find some useful ideas to help manage symptoms as you recover.  Especially read the topics pinned at the top.

Has anyone fully recovered from Invega Sustenna? I'm scared its permanent. It's been 4 months since my last shot and I still feel no improvement.... It scares me that someone hasn't recovered after 3 years... Will I recover my sex drive and libido and will I be able to work out again.

I'm leaving the quote of the post here and will create an intro for Joey 2358.
