marie123: tapering trazodone

Hello and Happy New Year everyone. I have been back to the dentist and he gave me a provisional crown on the left side so I can eat and not chew on my bad side. So he looked at the xrays and said that tooth 4 and 5 might need retreats or apicos. Tooth #4 is the one that was really killing me. Now when I bite on it with certain foods it hurts, so it might be cracked and I'll extract it.  I have to wait until my endo appointment on the 29th. I have to wait that long because I picked the top endo in the practice and everyone wants him. We'll see what he says after the cone beam and consult. I have been stressed lately thinking about all this and getting some cortisol rushes at 4:30 AM. Sometimes I talk myself into calming down and relaxing. I am happy to say that this works.

I'm making a cut tonight to get me down to 5.99 mg. This will put me back to the point I was before I screwed up the taper. It's going to be a while before I get the teeth thing sorted so I might as well use this time to taper. If the tooth starts flaring up with bad pain I'll just get another antibiotic. Be well. Marie.

I've decided to drop .15 mg tonight since I've feeling more stable. So I will be down to 6.05 mg Mirt. I have infection above two top teeth next to one another. One of them is in the front and I really want to keep this one. Mirt messes up teeth and makes you grind them also. I already had a big molar extracted because it was cracked. I do not want implants because I don't think they will work for me. I have dry mouth, clench and my immune system stinks. Once an implant gets infected it is a difficult and painful removal from what I've read. I would not get them if they were free. No thanks. I spoke to my doctor today to get a refill of Mirt. I asked when he would get the vaccines in. He told me that he does not know when. I put myself on his list and he will call me when available. I expect a reaction but I'm ready to get back to life. Stay safe. Marie.

Oh Marie:   I feel your pain and frustration with the teeth.  I have 2 implants and one got infected, which was a nightmare.  I do hope things settle down for you and they are not as serious.

I wear a mouthguard every nite as I tend to grind my teeth too.  Do you wear one?  It saves on the teeth.

Trying to figure the histamine intolerance so I ordered a new probiotics with strains to help degrade histamine.  My cholesterol is high too, so I will go back on Cholest-off.  I will add a 4th nite in this week of a .96 mg. mirt to keep on tapering down and off.  Really I think the histamine intolerance symptoms are a part of the tapering off mirt...reducing the amount of anti-histamine by tapering the mirt can set off a mess of HIT symptoms.

Be well,

Shebon

Started 3.75 mg. remeron 4/2013.  Had tapered off benzo 4/2011.  Had tapered down to 1.87 mg remeron but mistakenly thought I was in bad withdrawals, when it was Synthroid again.  Stopped  Synthroid 3/31/3021-side effects are the same as hyperthyroid symptoms, but doctors have no knowledge of this side effect.  Started taper end of 7/2021, now at 3.48 mg. daily.

Hi Shebon. I'm doing alright. I just don't like this long wait before the endo's consult on my two teeth. Right now they don't hurt fortunately. I got a script of antibiotic in case the tooth starts hurting before the 28th from infection. Oh man I'm sorry to hear one of the implants got infected. I've heard this story too from an acquaintance. How did they remove the implant? Was it perimplantitis?  I will never get an implant. They're pricey and I can afford them, but I would not get one even if it was free. I believe my body rejects anything unnatural even root canals always feel a bit inflamed. Metal screwed into my jaw won't work. If I had no teeth left to eat and dentures did not work maybe. If I need a tooth pulled I might get a partial for the one or two teeth. They make pretty ones now that look very natural, a valplast maybe? I'm 61 so after 50 years things go you know including teeth. Dentists make bank on implants. One implant 7K all in for top specialists and I do have insurance lol. I won't be paying for his second home. Not a lot stresses me out but teeth stuff does.

I cut down a few nights ago by .15 mg so know I am at 6.05 mg. I always joked that by the time I'm done tapering meds I'd be ready for social security. Haha the joke's on me since I'll be applying this month.

What problems do you have with histamine intolerance? I know when I was tapering Mirt early in the taper I was having issues with my stomach,  nausea, gas and other stuff. I started taking culturelle and my tummy felt good.  I kept it up for a week or so and then stopped. I was over the nausea stuff so I did not continue. I eat a lot of bad food for HI like italian food with tomato sauces, avocado, eggplant, bananas, salad dressings, etc. For insomnia when I get really low and off I can use Ibruprofen a couple days a week. I find they make me very sleepy now and I sleep harder. Taking walks at night tire me out a bit. Achy bones and muscles epsom salt and lavender baths I will use along with hot pads. The chemical Mirt anxiety I've experienced but this will sound weird, I don't feel anxious. I feel tense and talk to myself saying what the heck is this that I am feeling, oh it's the Mirt chemical anxiety lol.

Trying a new probiotic is a good idea. Let me know if it works. Just keep inching down. Symptoms will come and go so just try and keep them as light as possible. Soon you will be done yay. Stay safe. Marie.

Hi Marie:

My implant infection was due to the needle numbing.  I had to go on antibiotics but that did not help.  Many people are sure going with partial dentures nowadays.  That might be the perfect solution for you.  They are much cheaper than implants.  I knew a man, who was my mother's friend and he paid over $30K for his implants.  He had full dentures but I don't think I would go through that kind of pain for real-looking teeth.

Good for you -- another drop down the mirt scale.  Back in November, I discovered the histamine intolerance after making spaghetti and eating it three days during the week.  Every night after eating it, I could not get to sleep and had diarrhea in the a.m.  I have finally taken this histamine stuff seriously.  I think I have had this for years.  There is a lot of information on the web about it too.  I started taking only my magnesium glycinate at 8:30 p.m. and doing very well with this new routine.  Preivously, I would take it in the a.m.  I read that magnesium helps mop up the excess histamine, so this is helping.

I'll let you know about this new probiotic for histamine.  The strains are specifically to avoid the excess histamine from the bacteria and hopefully, help to heal the gut.

Hope the vaccine is coming your way soon -- I am in the "que"....darn.

Best regards,

Shebon

Hello Shebon. Hubbie is out getting his Moderna vaccine tonight. He has to travel over an hour one way to get it. He is 65 and doses were reserved because he is also a teacher (retired). Hubbie wants to go back subbing once things are safe. I have to wait until my age group comes up, but I've called my doctor to put my name on his list to call once he gets the supply of vaccinations. I'll keep checking the websites of vac sites and calling around pharmacies/urgent care centers.

Does the mag glycinate help you sleep?

Marie.

Hello everyone. I'm down to 5.99 mg Mirt after a small cut last night. I'm still waiting for my endo consult on the 28th for my infected root canal so I thought I'd do something positive like cutting my dose.I have also started taking Vitamin D3. It's good for bones, teeth, immune system, depression, muscles and the gut. All of this I need during withdrawal. I am inside all the time due to covid and not getting any sunshine. Husband and son got their first dose of Moderna vaccine. Hubbie is over 65 and son is a first responder. I need to wait a couple months I think for my dose. Just to sit in a restaurant for a meal would be nice. I'm watching a lot of shows on netflix, amazon, apple, hulu, hbo max, disney, etc. lol. Right now I'm watching a series called "Trapped". I've watched several of these series filmed in Iceland and they all seem to be crime/mystery shows. I find Iceland very interesting for some reason. I guess it's the beautiful scenery. My son visited a couple years ago. He told me yesterday that he almost fell into a ravine while trying to get a good instagram shot. Hello Hannah from Iceland! I like your country. Be well everyone. Marie.

Hi Marie:

Glad the vaccine is rolling out where you are...we've waited a long time.  I am enrolling hubby and I in as many places as I can -- Safeway, Centura, Health One, etc.  It is going slow in our state.

In regards to mag glycinate -- I tried an experiment by taking the mirt at 8 p.m. and then 400 mg. mag at 10 p.m.  I did this for two nites.  I got a splitting headache right after taking it this way on the second nite, and it really sapped me.  Mag is best taken and absorbed with a meal, so I will go back to taking it in the a.m.  with my calcium and multi vitamin.

Also, the past 10 days or so have been "tapering" symptoms -- getting to sleep every other nite and the others not so much (3-4 hrs.).  I have accepted this roller coaster ride and I know I can weather it so far.  I did so good to taper to less than 1/2 of my dose from Jan. to Sept. with minimal symptoms, so I feel blessed.

Hope you are feeling strong and brave as you are now under 6 mg.  Way to go!  Once you get the hang of this tapering stuff, it doesn't scare one as much.

Stay well,

Shebon

Hi Shebon. Yes we accept the withdrawal and is makes it easier. Save the anger for when we are finished, that's what I'm doing anyways. You are fortunate that you only had one med to taper. I've done it twice so I've proved to myself it is possible. We certainly feel better and better with less med floating around in our brains. I look at it as getting more and more healthy with time and that is a great thing. I always look back to where I was a year ago, putting up the Christmas tree and taking it down. What a task it was 5/6 years and I would not take the tree down to February. Did not have any energy and could not get myself organized. This year I purchased an ornament organizer, put away the tree, and tidied up the holiday stuff more than a week ago.

There was this key in my junk drawer for several years and could not figure out what it was for. Each year I would look at it, try it for different locks, doors, etc. This year I finally put it together that it was a missing safe deposit bank key. It matched the spare one. It took me until this year to figure it out. Brain is really starting to work now lol.

I've had that sleep pattern. You know that the pattern keeps changing. It will do that until you are off and healed.

Stay safe and be well. Marie.

Hi Marie:

Glad to hear brain power is coming back and a whole lot more!

I have decided that the past 4 months were full of withdrawal symptoms that I thought were thyroid or histamine related.

I am going back up to 1.87 mg. and will need to take some rescue doses until I re-stabilize again.  Blood levels of this stuff trigger all the insomnia and other unpleasant symptoms.  After I stabilize again, I will get myself to a compounding pharmacy for the next phase.  (....I changed my signature).

Did you switch from tablet to liquid to taper?  How did that go for you?

I so wish doctors would not prescribe this stuff without an anti-dote.  It is a nightmare to stop or even taper, and get on with life.

Best regards,

Started taper end of 7/2021, now at 3.48 mg. daily.

Hi Shebon. I think you will  do better with a liquid med to taper from. It will allow you to cut with very small and more accurate doses. Usually your doctor has to cooperate with you to write the script for the compound pharmacy. My doc did not want to but I luckily found a compound pharmacy who would do it for me if I brought them the pills. I called around a bunch of places. Honestly I am not even sure that that is legal in my state, but so what. They do a good job and I can taper small amounts. That Mirt pill is so tiny and potent at the same time.

I slowly transitioned from pill to liquid and it took me three months. If you look back at my posts you will see how I did it. I think for the first week I took the dose in just pill except for one day I took half pill and half liquid. Then I would for the second week took the pill dose and half pill/half liquid dose for two days. Something like that. You'll see what works for you. Some people were able to go right away to all liquid dose. If you are sensitive do a crossover. I'm glad I did because it worked. Some on this site made their own liquid.

Let me know how it goes. Be well. Marie.

Hi Marie:

Thanks for sharing your crossover info with me.  That sounds like it worked well for you.  I looked long and hard at a Prozac bridge crossover...I read several articles of those on other ADs that did this and tapered off much faster due to the long half-life of Prozac.  Sometimes it worked and other times it did not.  It is recommended to do a 5-day flush of old AD before Prozac and I think that would be 5 days from hell for those on mirtazapine.

I have done better the past 3 days by going back up to 1/8 of 15 mg. (1.87 mg.).  So I know it was all withdrawals -- if the body is not in a withdrawal state, then life is good.  I'm reading Dr. Amen's book "Ending Mental Illness" and he stresses that brain health is so important.  He does not like to prescribe ADs unless absolutely necessary....he knows they are not easy to come off from.  One would think big pharma would have to come up with antidote to help people get off - but why bother when you get them hooked for life?

I will stabilize for a long while -- get my brain used to the 1.87 mg.   I have found a compounding pharmacy so that is my next step to try and get off this stuff.

How are you doing?   How's your sleep?  Sleep is usually the first thing impacted when trying to get off or reduce.  I don't know how DD44 does it -- she has to keep her job so sleep is ultra important.  She has now updosed too so I hope and pray she gets good nites of sleep.

Best regards,

Shebon

Hi Shebon. I'm doing good except for the tooth situation. I'm finally seeing the endo tomorrow and the oral surgeon on Monday. I am feeling stable and okay with the Mirt w/d. My cuts are purposely small so I don't have to deal with hard w/d. As far as sleep goes I get some good days of sleep, sometimes restful 7 plus hours. If I'm stressed about something (like now) it's a bit worse. Last night I went to sleep at 10:30 pm and woke up at 6 am. I did not have any wakeups luckily, but I had a headache and had sinus stuff. When I cut a bigger amount like .20 mg I get wakeups sometimes every hour or two for several days. It eventually levels out thankfully.

I think you will be in a better position to taper with the liquid, so your sleep won't be dramatically affected. I expect though that when I get to the low doses my sleep will get worse. I'm planning for it and figuring what will actually help.

My list:

magnesium before bed

hot lavender baths before bed

evening walks

not caring if I don't sleep

unisom if I am really desperate for sleep. Use only for 1 night.

ibruprofen it makes me sleepy now

getting exercise in the morning

chamomile tea double bag

eliminate my AM coffee

blackout curtains

what else?

Do you work Shebon? It's more difficult I'm sure for those who have jobs. Marie.

Hello everyone.

I just want to add to my list of what to do when I start getting intolerable insomnia when I am down to the tiny doses.

CBD oil - does anyone know what brand is good?

Weed    - what brand is good for sleep and in what form? It's not legal here but it will be soon I think.

As you can see I'm a planner lol. My endo appt. was this past week and I was not expecting the young guy to come in. He was good but I wish the top endo would have read my cone beam scans. Very few medical people I trust unfortunately.  My dentist appt. is coming up next week right on the day of a big snowstorm. I think the universe is trying to mess with me. He then will refer me to the oral surgeon for extraction or apico. It's on the tooth next to the one that was hurting me. There is an abcess on it. Why does that tooth not hurt and the one next to it was the one that was killing me? So the universe messes with me again. Maybe I'll wind up with both extracted. I believe both are cracked from a bad expisode of grinding/clenching caused by Mirt. I hate my teeth. Still at 5.99 mg Mirt. Be well everyone. Marie.

Hi Marie:

I completely understand the dental worries and discomfort.  I always say my mouth is the equivalent of a full "college education".  Maybe even a master's degree. 😁  I don't know what an apico is though.....is that another dental procedure?   Hope all goes well for you and you get on with life.

Thanks again for your advise re:  liquid tapering.  I can see the huge advantage of going with compounded and tapering at a decent rate.  I want to stabilize at least for 6 mths before I try anything new with this beast.

Yes, I have retired from my occupation too.  So hopefully, life will get back into the swing when we get our second COVID shots.

I have thought of CBD oil too.    I think the strains of weed are way too potent these days.  I don't want to be unconscious.....🤪

Take care and hope your dental work goes very well.

Hello everyone. I'm just checking in. Last night I cut Mirt by .15mg. It's pretty unnoticeable with this small amount. I need to be more focused this month since I will be getting oral surgery. Dry mouth destroys teeth.

Thanks Mirt.

Seriously though I can thank Mirt for letting me qualify for the next round of vaccines. You see I've gained plenty of weight on Mirt. This now puts me ahead of the skinny people lol. Thanks Mirt. I am down to 5.84 Mirt. Be well everyone. Marie.

Hello. I've finally got the correct diagnosis for my upper right teeth. One tooth is completely cracked and the other needs an apicoectomy. I have an appointment in a couple days. I was carrying on with a lot of stress with this. Why did it take three different dental professionals to read a cone beam scan to figure this out I just don't know. The last one, an oral surgeon, showed me the pic. It looked obvious to me. The two roots of the tooth were complete cut in half. I've been stressed and walking around with infected painful teeth for two months. So this one is solved. On my left side I had the big molar on top root canaled early in Dec., and this one is not settling. It hurts a bit but more in the gums. I hope it will be okay. I think I did okay handling the stress from the dental stuff while dealing with the Mirt w/d especially over the holidays. On a positive note, I have my appointment for the vaccine this upcoming weekend. I expect a reaction, but I will be fine.

Since I am going to be miserable anyways I'm probably going to make a small cut after the oral surgery, maybe .05 Mirt. which will put me at 5.79 Mirt. I'm positive I will be off Mirt one day. I do think I will get better after a bit and be happy and healthy.  Be well everyone. Marie.

Hello. I had the apicoectomy a couple days ago. Boy was that intense. The oral surgeon was working on my tooth for an hour and a half. At one point he says I'll be right back I'm getting the laser. He gave me a bunch of stitches in my mouth. I stopped counting after 10. I was nicely numbed up so I did not feel a thing. I'm still holding at 5.79 Mirt. I'm getting the stitches out next week and then we'll see when he extracts the broken tooth. I trust this surgeon otherwise I would just have it pulled. I hope it works as it's a front tooth. The stitches are making my mouth sore so I am looking forward to getting them removed.

I felt bad for myself so I bought myself a present. It was a new lipstick. I haven't been using lipstick for a year so I went online to see the favorite ones that are out there. The first one that came up the color was named after my real first name, which is an usual one. I got it today and it looks great.

I got my first vaccine today, the Pfizer one. I just have a sore arm. I hope the second one is just as easy. It was run by the military and they were all in army fatigues. I may cut a tiny bit after my stitches are out. I'll see. I've been sleeping really good. Be well everyone. Marie.

Just checking in. I went down to 5.75 Mirt tonight. My stitches are out and I am healing. In a month I am getting a tooth extracted. I'm calling it my covid tooth because the stress of covid caused my intense grinding. I was biting down so hard this one night that the tooth roots completely snapped off the base of the tooth. Fun stuff. Be well everyone. Marie.

Hello everyone. I'm just noting that I am 6 years and 4 months free of Ambien and 2 years free of trazodone. Hooray! With my latest small cut I am just getting mild withdrawal symptoms from the Mirt. I think Mirt really dries out my hair and causing it a lot of breakage, never mind some hair loss. Luckily I have thick hair. Anyone else? I think I am going to try some Oraplex moisturizing product to see if it helps. Be well everyone. Marie.

Hi Crochet. Thanks for stopping by. Yes Crochet I'm trying to take care of myself now since I put all of that on hold when I was on all three meds. I was just trying to get through the day at that point. I also need a lot of distractions to not dwell so much on w/d and the pandemic. I'll be getting my second vaccine shot soon so maybe I can venture out into the world a bit. How are you doing? Marie.

I see you take Lexapro. My sister takes that. Her doctor put her on that after she tapered off Paxil too fast, especially at the end. These drugs are something else, huh? Marie.

Hello folks. I read something interesting about Mirt tapering when you get down to the really low doses. A woman said she was down to 1.85 mg. She decided to take the 1.85 an hour after she got up in the morning instead before bedtime. She wanted to try and regulate her night sleep without Mirt since she will be down to no more Mirt after a bit. I asked if she felt any side effects/wd from doing this. She replied that her sleep was choppy for some time but it leveled off and then she got better sleep. The woman told me that she did not feel any additional fatigue taking that small dose in the AM, and replied that she was used to it.

It's something I will think about in the lower doses. Maybe I'll try it but lower than 1.85, maybe 1.00 mg. I wonder if anyone here has tried it. Happy Spring everyone. It's warming up here in NY.  Marie.

Hello. I just want to put this out there since I remember this happening last year. I like it when I find patterns of w/d. Early spring is happening here where I live and I am experiencing an uptick in symptoms. I am more itchy, my sinuses and head are stuffy, rashes are flairing, and overall have that weirded out withdrawal feeling a bit more. Last year during early spring I felt like this too. It is like a mine-wave but I feel I have power over it since I've been there done that.

Tomorrow morning I get my second Pfizer vaccine. I hear that if you get symptoms, it is the next day. I expect to get a reaction. I want it though since I'd like to come out of my quarantine. It has given me cover though to lay low while I taper. Be well everyone. Marie.

Hi Marie,

My apologies if this is something you have already considered but this sounds like spring allergies. Perhaps withdrawal has made you more sensitive to histamine triggers?

I just got through day two after the Moderna vaccine. About 36 hours after the shot, I got a fever/ chills (up to 102 degrees, headache, body aches etc. I woke up at dawn this morning with all but the headache gone. I guess the vaccine did its work. I got through it with ice on my head and heat pads for the chills. Nothing else. I do not tolerate anything for pain.

I know many people who have nothing but a sore arm after either/both vaccines. I anticipated a response but am not prone to fever. That was surprising.

I hope it goes well for you. I am in pretty ill health. If I can get through it in a day, you will too. It would have helped me a lot to know I would be so much better today. (That is why I shared the misery; not to frighten anyone)

  • tapered valium w/ long holds to 12.74 mg. from a high of approximately 20-30 mg/day
  • 2015-2023 tapered trileptal to 98 mg.  had to completely stop tapering due to multiple chronic, serious health issues
  • currently 2024 still on 98 mg. trileptal and 4 mg. remeron
  •   Currently on benzo hold as I have to cross-over from brand-name valium to generic diazepam.   The diazepam is way weaker and brought on severe acute w/d
  • Current dose of diazepam is 7.9 and valium is 6.6.  I had to up-dose the total valium/diazepam from 12.74 to 14.5 where I have stayed since June 2023.  I am crossing over to generic at a somewhat tolerable rate of .3mg/month after about 2 months of trial/error w/ updosing.  I am not currently tapering; will continue to cross over.

Hi Grace. My son got the Moderna and had the same reaction as yours but it lasted a few days. He's healthy and on no meds. You had a normal response to the shot. Yes the spring allergies make sense, but before these meds I never had to deal with them. Mirt is a super duper anti-histamine so tapering especially in spring the histamine brings out the worst. I won't take an allergy med.  I am sorry you are feeling so ill. These meds can really screw us up. Are you trying a slower taper now and does that help? Marie.

Marie,

You make a good point.  Mirtazapine definitely has anti-histamine properties, which is why I have chosen not to taper it for now.  I am just too sick for my allergies to drag me down further.  I really only get a break from my allergies during the winter and even then, I have to be vigilant about dust, mold, etc.

I am tapering trileptal very very slowly.  At least some toxin is leaving my body every day but permanent damage has been done.  I am quite frightened that it is way too late for me now.  I am suffering serious health effects.  It sounds counter-intuitive but I am really too sick to taper and not willing to be hospitalized to be taken off too quickly (high seizure risk with rapid w/d; it happened to me when I first began a slow self-taper at home) because I know what the outcome of that would be...different drugs...lack of any control...and if I came out of it at all...likely sicker than if I went in.  I am just living one day at a time the best that I can.

Makes sense about the allergies, though the anti-histamine effect is still with you.  These drugs just make us more sensitive to everything.

Hello everyone. Yesterday I received the Pfizer second vaccine. I had some pain the in the injection site yesterday. Today I feel more tired and that's about it. There was no uptick in any w/d symptoms. I was concerned about getting the vaccine, but now I'm glad I did. It will keep everyone safe so please go out and get one. I need a tooth extracted next week. I'm going to hold my dose of 5.75 Mirt until then. Maybe I will cut after that. Stay safe. Marie.

Hi folks. I think I will cut tonight and go down by .15 mg Mirt. That will give me a dose of 5.60 mg Mirt. I'm feeling pretty good so it's time. I should be down to 5 mg Mirt by May. I hope so. I am fully vaccinated so I need to wait a week more before starting to venture out. I think I will get my hair colored and highlighted. I can't do highlights and I like the nice blond highlights in the warm weather. I'll wait for manicures. I want to wait for a warmer day for dinner outside. I'll make a couple of doctors appointments next month. Be well everyone. Marie.

Hi everyone.  I went down to 5.60 mg on 3/19. First night I had insomnia, but after that I'm been feeling pretty darn good. Sometimes this happens after I cut where I go into a nice window. Hope it lasts a while before I get hit. It was 3 weeks ago where I made a .15 mg cut. Maybe I should cut every 3 weeks? It's something to think about but I like to keep it flexible and gauge how I feel. I can't wait to be in the 4's.

When I got the Pfizer vaccine I did not feel anything the first day. The next evening I was very tired and was in bed by 8 pm.  Same for the next evening. It was not bad at all and I had no waves. I'm getting my Covid tooth pulled in two days. I can't believe it all started on Dec. 15th. By the time the stitches come out it will be April. I had two days of perfect sleep. It's bliss. Feel better everyone. Marie.

Well today was horrible. I know that 4/5 days after I cut I feel symptoms, but this morning was terrible. I know why. I took a couple of big gulps of red wine last night with dinner. I've done it here or there and I got away with it. Not this time.

Now if I didn't have an oral surgeon appointment I would have just gone to bed. I refused to cancel the appointment. I have been waiting since Dec. 15th to get my covid tooth extracted, so I was going no matter what. I was nauseous, shaky, vision dulled, you know the drill, the works. I'd also have to wait another month because he's booked solid.

The oral surgeon examined my teeth and was not sure what tooth it was. I reminded him of the cone beam xray and that he told me the roots were cracked off the tooth. Well, they lost the cone beam. This is where I remind myself that the universe is working against me. He did another one and all was good. The tooth extraction took 5 minutes. I felt a bit better as the appointment/day went on, but it's nighttime and I still feel rotten. This will pass by tomorrow. Be well everyone. Marie.

Hello. My mouth is sore from the stitches and it makes sleeping hard. I've been taking Ibuprofen on and off but don't like taking it constantly. I get the stitches out this week thankfully. My plan is to make a small cut of .15 mg a week later. This will follow cutting .15 mg Mirt every three weeks. If I was not in pain I would make a bigger cut, and I need some healing from the surgery. This cut of .15 mg will put me at 5.45 mg Mirt. This taper will probably take 3 to 3.5 years total. So be it. I used to joke that by the time I was done tapering I'd be getting a Social Security check. Well I signed up and should be receiving one soon haha.

I'm starting to go out a bit more because of being vaccinated. Target never felt so good lol. Be well. Marie.

Hello. I made my cut last night of .15 mg. I am down to 5.45 mg Mirt. I like this pattern of cutting. I cut .15 mg every 3 weeks. I feel some w/d but it gone by the end of the 3 weeks. I get some window days and I know it's time to cut again. I got sleep last night but in the late morning hours it was a bit choppy. It's fine though.

I went to an restaurant for the first time in a year last night. It was great and I felt like a human being out and about. Be well everyone. Marie.
