MonadoArts7827
Well, you would know better than me I guess. I just can't believe that this is happening to you only after taking it for less than a week. Is it genetic you think? You literally can't feel any emotion? So like, you're not even the least bit upset/sad/depressed about what you're going through? June 2013 - Vyvanse 40mgs and Adderall 20mgs March 2015 - Concerta 36mgs and Seroquel 50mgs August 2016 - Vyvanse 50mgs November 2016 - Current - Vyvanse 60mgs, Seroquel 50mgs (I cut them in half and only take 25mgs), Wellbutrin 450gs (I hardly ever take it) Current Withdrawal Symptoms: Very abnormal pins and needles/bubble feeling on the right and backside of my head (thought it was a brain tumor, so got both an MRI and CT Scan that came back normal), random waves of extreme depression sometimes with suicidal thoughts, tired most of the time, get anxious for seemingly no reason, sometimes hard to sleep. September 6, 2021 - Completely off all drugs. Still smoke a lot of cannabis. Take Animal Pak, L Tyrosine, and Organic Mucana as supplements. Link to comment
Futurerecovery
It did not happen only to me. There are a lot of people who suffer from PSSD after just a few days/weeks. Also user Ghost who is the administrator of the PSSD forum. He took Escitalopram for 4 days. German fMRI study about PSSD http://survivingantidepressants.org/index.php?/topic/14351-take-part-in-new-pssd-study/ Please also complete this questionnaire in order to possibly promote Italian PSSD research if you have PSSD / Post-SSRI PGAD:http://survivingantidepressants.org/index.php?/topic/4587-persistent-genital-arousal-disorder-pgad/?p=247055 Link to comment

Also user Ghost who is the administrator of the PSSD forum. He took Escitalopram for 4 days. That doesn't happen to most people, though, which is why I'm wondering if it's just genetic. Administrator Altostrata Posted March 25, 2017 Administrator Share Posted March 25, 2017 Some people have severe reactions to psychiatric drugs within a few doses. Of course it's genetic. There's no such thing as "only" genetic. If it happens to you, it's serious and can take a long time to recover from. Please stop pestering Futurerecovery about the cause of his PSSD. Cipramillion
I also have problems after being on a small dose of Escitalopram. How bad are your symptoms now? <p>Sept 2015: 5 mg Cipralex for 3 weeks. Lots of side effects. Reduced to 2.5 mg for 2 weeks. Experiencing withdrawal and side effects still after dose reduction. Quit after almost 4 weeks on 2.5 mg because of adverse effects. Experiencing withdrawal symptoms still. Reinstating 1mg after 3 weeks. Reduced to 0.50 after 2 days due to sensitive reaction (dysautonomia) and trip to ER. January 2016: After 14 months of tapering from 0.5 mg im now down to 0.08mg. Planing on one more drop before 4-8 weeks healing, then jump to zero. 14.03.17: Lexapro free! Link to comment
