JC, like cipromillion told, Europe market has only the 20mg/ml liquid for Lexapro, total insane as how that idea came up and what ppl were thinking!!! I highly suggest you to dilute as much as you feel needed to ensure the daily dose accuracy. And be extremely careful about the calculation and measures in this long process. I would never imagine one dose accidental increase can ruined the journey and put me in such a cruel sirptuation.

 • 2 weeks later...

Big update today!

Finally the moment is here. The last jump!

0.04mg to 0.00 mg :D

It took 16 months to taper down from 0.5 mg.

This could be heaven, or this could be hell...

Fingers and toes crossed!

Sept 2015: 5 mg Cipralex for 3 weeks. Lots of side effects. Reduced to 2.5 mg for 2 weeks. Experiencing withdrawal and side effects still after dose reduction. Quit after almost 4 weeks on 2.5 mg because of adverse effects. Experiencing withdrawal symptoms still. Reinstating 1mg after 3 weeks. Reduced to 0.50 after 2 days due to sensitive reaction (dysautonomia) and trip to ER. January 2016: After 14 months of tapering from 0.5 mg im now down to 0.08mg. Planing on one more drop before 4-8 weeks healing, then jump to zero. 14.03.17: Lexapro free!

Thx a lot guys!

This would not be possible without the wonderful support and information from all the brave fighters on this amazing site. A difference that makes a difference!

I know my journey is far from over, but im so proud right now. Only you people know what this struggle cost and how insane the symptoms from withdrawal can be. That means a lot to me.

We just need to focus on one day at a time. We will win this battle!

Thank you, Lex! This shall pass. I need to go back on a diet and ride this one out. Im a bit worried about "imploding head" symptom that arrived yesterday. I also got tinnitus waking up this morning. Some old WD-friends i havent seen in a long time. The head pressure was my main symptom in the beginning of WD. It lastes for many months. It was stupid of me to drink caffeine. Mistakes were made. Hopefully not a huge setback.

2016: 0,98 to 0,22 mg; 2015: 2,35 to 1,01 mg; 2014: 4,9 to 2,5 mg; 2013: 9,1 to 5,1 mg; 2012: 15,7 to 9,7 mg; 2011: Started on 25 mg - then 50 mg- dropped to 25- to 12.5 mg - back to 25 mg - after 18.75 mg started tiny tapering to 16.6 mg

Started on 25 mg Zoloft in March 2011 due to stressrelated tinnitus that gave me panicattacks. Had a terrible reaction to Zoloft from start, but was told to "hold on". After four months I was stuck. Therefore the long taper. Crazy, I know... Super sensitive to drops and have dropped by 4-6 % from the previous dose.

What a relief! Such a roller coaster we ride every day and moment!

BTW, I have been drinking Decaf one cup everyday. I don't feel obvious effect so far.

Ii had one incidence of exploding head syndrome, hearing and feeling a loud gunshot in my head followed by explosion altogether. Not sure if imploding head is same or similar. Had two seizure episodes the same day after that. It was the scariest thing of all.

Yeah. That sensation and pressure in the head is awful. Seizures? What were the symptoms? Sounds terrible :( You micro-tapers on Lexapro should just keep tapering down to almost zero. Im struggling a bit with symptoms now. Far from reinstating at this point, hopefully it wont get worse. I will give it at least 3 more weeks. Decaf sounds like a solid plan :D

How can this happen just from 0.04 mg. I dont understand. What kind of chain reaction/mechanism is behind this? I would really like to know. This is insane! Im 100% sure this is not nocebo now

Doubt anyone will ever find out the mechanism behind this. Thats why it's so hard for anyone else who are not experiencing it don't think it's not placebo effects,

Akathisia is still present as expected. The key for me is lifestyle changes and diet (no alcohol, caffeine, min intake of sugar etc). Hopefully the symptoms will ease in 2-3 weeks, they usually do after a cut. This time could be different, since im off the drug completely now.

We just jump and hope for the best...

WD-symptoms are increasing by the hour. Heavy headache/pressure, burning sensation in my face and jaw, akathisia, dizziness and fatigue. No insomnia, which is a nice surprise.

The symptoms are much worse than from a normal cut. This is a "flash back" to my early days of WD (but more mild). Back then the symptoms only increased to unbearable levels. Guess im afraid of getting back there again.

My main focus is to stay calm now. Hopefully this is over in a few weeks.

I Amy so sorry! The whole thing makes me speechless!

I read others saying the jumping off is very different regardless how low you are, it's a huge unfamiliar change to the body after long time interference of these evil substances. I don't remember the source but everyone got it over and moved on to the drug free era toward full recovery.

The unknown is one of, or the most challenging thing in this process. We tend to think the worst possible ( very true to this whole ordeal but there still a limit) when we face an unfamiliar phase or symptoms. No guide or information is available from solid research or science, and the individual experience won't always apply, so we have to find out for own special case by trial and error.

Accept this last unknown and look forward to the real original and own brain getting back after this final war. I'm so confident you are winning the whole battle!

Hugs,

Lex
