Stress can cause the brain to fire up and when it does it deprives your nerves of Oxygen. This in turn can make you feel you have pains in your legs, back etc.

Do you suffer with this normally? Are you doing anything different?.

With Sciatica its best to keep moving. Apply heat, but be careful dont burn yourself if the area is numb.

Thanks for answering Leo.

I spent more time than usual in the car yesterday.

Do you suffer from it too?

Sitting too long in that position can trigger it off.

No i know people who do tho.

Look on the net for piriformis stretch. The siatic nerve runs through this muscle.

My fiancé suffers from it. Being an electrician he gets into some “weird “ positions when wiring things. But even sleeping wrong will make it flare up. And sitting for long intervals will set it off. He take this all natural remedy called Spasm Plus. It helps him a lot. He also has a hard foam roller he rolls on every morning and stretches. He hasn’t had an episode in a long time.

The bully’s last day was last Friday (think I mentioned that)......

Survived the team workshop today.  Great to find out what other people in the team actually do.

A lot of “actions” came out of it for the whole team.

The only thing is I’m suffering from  is “imposter syndrome”.

Im working on a project mandate to be rolled out for the next project “cycle”.

I started the job with all key process documents missing, and a whole host of other “stuff” that screwed up my progress.

Further down the line, there is another document with images but narrative missing.  When I mentioned this today, I was pretty much laughed at with the senior manager insinuating that I was accusing whoever of “sabotage”.  Not what I meant at all, but I have not found a document that has the narrative.

No one felt they could offer any support, and so I’m on my own.  One of the aims was to see where we could help each other.

The senior manager also revealed that the whole reason we were having that workshop was because of me 😣 don’t think that was necessary.

Im on the lookout for other jobs.  It’s been a nightmare since I started there.

—————————————————

Requesting annual blood work from GP tomorrow.

Still got the sciatica so am going to mention that too.

Hope everyone ok.

Keep your chin up. Things will get better. It’s called “office politics” and it’s awful.

But if they didn’t like you, or the job you’re doing, you wouldn’t be there. So see, you’re doing awesome!

Good luck at the dr tomorrow. Keep us posted on the sciatica.

You are not going crazy. It’s called work, unfortunately.

You have healed so well, you are doing amazing!👍🏻

I am having my usual taper nausea. I thought I might beat it but it reared it’s ugly head. I just have to live with it knowing this is the end of it.

You are right onwards and upwards, no where else to go lol...🐔(that’s as close as I could get to a Junglechicken).

LOL!!! Like it 🐓

Well, you were thinking very differently a year ago, and now you’ve weathered the worst of “the storm”.

I had the nausea too after my last Lexapro dose, it was brutal at the time but the good news is, it didn’t last.

Its a very tough place the work environment, and I feel like an alien most of the time.

Apace1/Andy is an inspiration (and the other Mods) for helping everyone on SA.

Working again is taking up so much energy, that finding the energy to devote to other areas of life is a challenge.  Exhausted at the end of each week.

The other thing is that I didn’t work for 3 yrs due to mental illness and so lost 3 yrs worth of earnings.  Trying to make up for it now.

I was thinking differently last year at this time, and for quite a while before that. Andy took me under his wing and calmed me down and got me on the right track. I’m very grateful for him and all the other mods on here. They are all truly wonderful. I’m so glad I found SA.

I’m glad to hear that your nausea didn’t last long. Hopefully mine won’t.

You have been out of the workforce for a number of years and it’s going to take you a while to reintroduce yourself and get a routine again. You have to remember you are still healing also.

You need to to take care of yourself too. You can’t make up for 3 years worth of lost wages overnight.

Unfortunately, I was injured falling through some concrete stairs in 2010 and am on disability. I have injuries to my right hand and left foot. Being a bookkeeper for over 30+ years, you need your hand. That’s why I’m so lonely.

But it’s getting better. Each day is closer to moving back to civilization.

You are doing wonderful! Keep it up 🐓🐔

Take care,

On Easter break and LOVING it!

Have updated my signature, as its now been over a year since I quit ADs.

Main symptoms are: IBS, reflux, anxiety, depression (overall confidence crisis), weight gain, hormonal "stuff" (this is down to peri-meno though so not going to mix the two).  All in all, not bad and a huge improvement on a year ago.

Upon returning to work (1st May), I'll have 2 more weeks until I pass my 6 month probationary period.  Its been a VERY tough 6 months.  Don't particularly enjoy my job, but have to get on with it.  Am always on the look out for other opportunities out there.

Keep your fingers crossed.

Spending most of my time in the garden and allotment, but have work to do too, so will be focusing on that tomorrow.

Hi Russ,

I don't think I finished the last candida cleanse I did (April 2018) as its one of the hardest detox "diets" out there.

Just couldn't cope with it mentally either.

Since starting working again (Nov 2018), my gut has had a hard time adjusting to very early mornings, and stress (too much in the case of this new job).  It took at least 3 months for it to adapt to the changes.

Have you got your candida "overgrowth" under control now?

Hi all,

Although my GP has said “no action required”, I have abnormally low HDL (Good) cholesterol levels.

They bounce around at 1.52 to 1.54 mmol/L.

Normal range is >1.7 mmol/L.

My bad cholesterol has dropped from 3.6 mmol/L in Feb 2017 to 3.0 mmol/L.

Not sure what to make of it, other than I need to consume large amounts of coconut and olive oils???

Anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks folks,

Thanks Frogie,

What happened to your frog?!

My probationary period has been extended by 3 months {Big groan}.  That's a total of a 9 month probationary period 😣

I have been assured that this is due to the utter chaos I had to endure of the first 3, and to view it as a positive journey.

Our team is due to go through a major shake up with some departures in the pipeline.

Got throat pain (from reflux I think) and mouth and tooth sensitivity.  A bit phlegmy too.

Hi JC:🐓🐔

I just got tired of looking at the frog. I’ll have to find another one.🐸

That’s strange that they extended you probation period. But don’t sweat it. They are just making sure everything is ok, and from the sounds of it, you are doing a great job! Could be because of all the changes happening too. You’ll be fine.

Your throat pain could be from acid reflux. I found this stuff called Prelief of Amazon. It helps when I have to take it. But I’m not endorsing anything. You could try Tums or Rolaids they work well to. Also, Alka Seltzer has a soft chew that works really well. I don’t know if you can get any of that over there. The mods are a lot more experienced at this than me. But good luck.

I had tooth sensitivity and had mouth sores. I bought this toothpaste and mouthwash from Amazon called Closys. It cleared it right up. My drs nurse suggested it, her sons were going through the same thing.

I’m just tired. Trying to buy this house has been a nightmare! Then dealing with evicted tenants, cleaning, repairing and trying to rent our rental house has been challenging. And now my fiancé’s parents are moving to an apartment the same time his niece is graduating and we are doing the last minute things to the loan on our house. It’s just crazy. I’ll  be glad when it’s all over and I can breath again. We won’t move to the new house for a couple of months because he needs to find a job in that area and we need to pack and finish up a few projects so we can rent out our place we are living in right now. Being 200 miles away from this property we are going to hire a property manager so we aren’t driving out here every time something is wrong. We decided to keep it for a couple of years then try to sell it. Just too much going on to try to sell property, move my fiancé find a job and moving his parents all at once.

But through all of this, I haven’t had a set back from the Lexapro. I thought I might, but I’ve just been rolling with the changes, lol... which have been very minimal. I don’t feel hardly anything. I’m thankful for all of that. I’m going to start tapering Xanax June 1st. Everything should be finalized by then and no more stress. Except for packing and I’m going to take that slowly.

I’m glad you are doing well overall. Changes and challenges can make your body go wacky. Just take a deep breath. Don’t eat anything spicy or greasy and see if that helps. My fiancé is on a diet, so I’m just eating smarter like him and I’ve lost 9 pounds without trying. I need another 10 pounds at least, but it’s a start.

Now I’ve talked your head off, I’ll let you go. But it’s nice to talk to someone that understands what we are truly going through.

Keep your our chin up, you’re doing great!

It was so nice to hear from you 😊

Take care,

 Frogie xx

P.S. It’s been a year since your last dose of Lexapro. Are you going to write some sort of success story soon? Would love to hear everything!

I have the weird pimples (acne) too.....although I think these are because of hormonal imbalances.

Never had acne in my life until my late 30s.

3 possible causes:

1) AD meds

2) Hormonal changes due to approaching mid-life

3) Marathon training

i got severe acne both times I came off of Lexapro... it's a WD symptom.

have you tried this, combined with the estrogen patch yet? I'm considering for PMDD, but afraid to trigger WD

My probation has been extended by ANOTHER 3 months.

That's a total of 9 months probation for a crappily paid high stress job.

Basically I'm being made to pay for the fact they didn't hire the right manager in the first place (he left a month after I started), and then the guy who WAS going to replace him would have ruined my career and so his contract was discontinued.

And now, the company is going through a "cost transformation" and so major layoffs are taking place over a 3 month period (exactly while I'm STILL on probation).

Looking for A-nother job.

Hey Frogie - love your Kermit 👍!!!

Am back on the weight loss band wagon again (GROAN).

i just pile on weight, especially when under so much stress at work.

Had a company health assessment done today.  Bad cholesterol has increased a lot in 2 months. Good cholesterol has decreased further.

Ughhh! Also got to get into a gym to increase muscle mass.

Hate middle age.

Sorry this is so negative, fairly certain I’m in a depressive episode.
