Tylir: haldol withdraws

So about 7 months ago I was basicly forced to take a shot of haldol. They thought i was schizophrenic because i would have very good moods good confidence and alot to talk about followed by alot of energy which wasn't a problem to me or anybody else. They told me I couldn't leave the mental hospital for another 2 weeks unless I take a shot, so I signed for it. I had a reaction from the drug i couldn't sleep couldn't sleep still and muscle tightness and the worst symptom of all was i was thoughtless. Ever since 7 months ago i have been thoughtless and haven't been in good moods like i used too no energy i don't even know what to talk about in conversations anymore i feel like my life is ruined and i won't recovery can anybody relate to me out there and is there any hope for me at all or should i give up

Welcome Tylir,

I removed all the duplicates of your post from other areas of the site, this is the place to introduce yourself and ask these kinds of questions. You can use this thread as your ongoing journal to track progress, write about symptoms, ask questions and communicate with the community, add to it whenever you want. Its a good idea to bookmark it or follow it, so its easy to find again.

I'm sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well since the shot of haldol. It sounds like you had a bad reaction to it. Sometimes it can take a long time to recover from the effects of these powerful drugs. Do you know how long the shot was supposed to last for? Are you saying you are still unable to sleep?

Are you taking any other medications?  It would be great if you would put your drug and withdrawal history in your signature. Doing this helps people understand your context, it appears below each of your posts. Here are instructions for how to do it:

You will recover, so please don't give up hope.

I'm not a doctor.  My comments are not medical advise. These are my opinions based on my own experience and what I've learned. Please discuss your situation with a medical practitioner who has knowledge of tapering and withdrawal...if you are lucky enough to find one.
