Kanok Prozac withdrawal and BCAA

Hi. First I'm not a native speaker so I'm sorry for my bad English. I'm a college student. In 2011 I developed OCD however I began taking prescribed drug for OCD, Prozac, In 2013. After taking it, I started having cognitive problems such as frequently making arithmetic mistakes which it was very hard to happen before, slow reading and understanding the book I was reading. From that day on, I often read over and over in order to understand it. All of this started not when I developed OCD but when I took Prozac. I went to the doctor then maybe you know what happened next.

In 2015, I finished tapering off it but anything didn't seem better yet. I have spent a Iot of time looking for many of things that can help me. Exactly, I haven't found it; nonetheless, I found an interesting thing. At second day of taking pure BCAA while I went to bed I thought about my ex-girlfriend then I strongly felt the warmth of love all night long which I forgot. I didn't know when I forgot this feeling. It's different from what I feel everyday for 3 years despite in relationship. Next day I tested myself by math and English exercise. It showed me big improvement than anything I tried. Furthermore, I clearly felt more pleasure in watching porn although I never thought I have sexual problems. Disappointedly, All disappeared in day 6. I continued taking it for a week. Nothing has changed.

Has anyone tried it? (My weight is 65 kg. I took 6.5 g twice a day.)

Kanok -- Your ability with English is very good!  Please put that concern away, maybe in the same place you put your Prozac -- history or fiction.  :)

It's hard to know for 100% certain whether it was your body recovering naturally or whether the BCAA is responsible for the improvement you felt.  It most likely was your body healing because the feelings were what we call a "window"  You can read more about that here: The Waves and Windows Pattern of Stabilization.

I hope that your waves become smaller and fewer, and your windows get bigger, better and more frequent.

I took 3 days for writing that. You remind me of my doctor who have never taken his drug. This is a fiction for most people since we have many last long withdrawal side effects. I don't want it to be a fiction forever.

Welcome, Kanok.

BCAA is like a protein supplement. It could be your body needed some of this to start some repairs.

See whey protein isolate and protein shakes

Many people do better with fish oil and magnesium supplements, see

What are your current symptoms?

The brain recovers but it takes time. I compare it to healing of a bone although brain can sometimes take even longer. But the point is it usually takes months and not days.

And feelings are the last to return. So we just have to take good care of ourselves and be patient.

Sory I can't be more helpful. Have you tried fish oil or magnesium as Altostrata suggested?

Do you know what you forget? Why do they know "I'm complete recovery."?

Thank you for everyone's advice.

In my opinion, there's only one way to bring all of us out of this. The public should know it.
