MelissaJai Posted July 21, 2014 Share Posted July 21, 2014 I started taking 20mg of Lexapro in 2006. In 2011 I was put on 40mg of Lexapro. In the past few months I haven't felt as though Lexapro was working for me anymore and went to my local GP to discuss my options. For 7 days he had me take only 20mg a day and since last Friday (only 4 days ago) to stop it all together. After finding this site today and reading what everyone has posted I now know why I am feeling so sick that I can hardly function. If anyone can please help me in working out how to ween of this drug I would be so grateful. My dr doesnt seem to realise how this has impacted me, even though I told him last wk. Link to comment

This is so true, with anything you get on these drugs, dependance, tapering, withdrawal symptoms, side effects, just silent.
