TroubledThoughts: Lamictal Overdose/Withdrawal?

TroubledThoughts

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anyone had any advice for me as I'm still feeling the same and getting pretty worried.

I've been missing work and starting to withdraw from basically all activities besides watching tv in my room. I'm falling behind on bills as well.

Lexapro (10-20mg): 2010-2016

Lexapro 5mg: 2016-September 2017

Lexapro 2.5mg: September 2017-November 2017

Lexapro 1.25mg: November 2017-December 2017

Lexapro 1.25mg (every other day): December 2017-January 31 2018

Quick taper since I thought I had sfx, was actually withdrawal

Reinstated Lexapro .25mg: March 10, 2018

Lamictal: May 1-July 1 2016

Klonopin: July 1, 2016-August 1, 2016

Seroquel, Clonazepam, Xanax, Paxil, and others: 2010-2016

Not sure what happened. Did you accidentally skip a dose?

Was the shaking part of your withdrawal symptoms before? If so, I would go up to 0.4mg for now.

Hi Alto,

I definitely didn't skip a dose, I've been very diligent about taking it at the same time every day.

The shaking was part of my withdrawal symptoms when I was totally off. Everything now is basically the same as my withdrawal symptoms besides the headache and dizziness, that's new.

And you think maybe straight to .4mg from .3mg?

I just find it strange that I was doing alright for three weeks and then got hit with all of this out of the blue.

Something changed, maybe your metabolism sped up. 0.4mg is still a very small amount.

Okay I tried .4mg today and will see what happens.

I woke up today feeling basically the same. The shaking was down a little but the headache and dizziness was still there. Also still not hungry at all, I've lost 10 pounds so far... which isn't great since i was already underweight.

How are you doing now TT?

2002: put on perindopril 8mg for hypertension, still on this with felodipine 10 mg added in 2007.

2003: 1st panic attack, given activan 1mg as needed, dosage slowly increased to about 5mg per day on average. Cold turkey in 2007, 3 months of severe withdrawal.

2005: Escitalopram 10mg added, still on same dosage.

2008 - now: use propranolol when in stressful situation.

Considering tapering of Escitalopram, given insomnia and lack of motivation which I attribute to the drug. Although reading about the withdrawal effects, I am fairly reluctant.
