Hi Scallywag,

 

As of last night I am down to .5mg of the Gabitril, my psychiatrist told me to cut it out completely. I was thinking about doing that, but am mindful of what I have read on the forums that doing big drops can cause bad withdrawal effects, so not sure if I should do that.  Do you think I can stop the Lamictal since I have only been taking it for 3 days?  I'm regretting having started it.

Maybe the moodiness.could also be due to klonopin as benzodiazepines can cause depression in some people. It's important to limit your stress so I'm sorry to hear your are facing family issues. If there's a way to limit that for now that might also help w sleep 

Thanks Madeleine, I have wondered if the Klonopin could be part of the problem.   Can't limit the family issues.  It's a legal issue and I have to be involved.  Really sucks.

Hey fellow survivors,

 

As of today I am in a pretty crappy place.  In October it will be 2 years since I am off Lexapro and Gabitril.  After I got off the Lexapro I experienced severe anxiety and panic which resulted in major weight loss.  I'm 5'4" and I ended up down to 98#.  I white knuckled it for awhile and finally in January of 2018 I could not take the anxiety anymore.  So I went on Buspar which I am currently taking 75mg of.  This helped to lessen the panic and anxiety but also made me feel like a total failure for getting back on meds.  I ended up with insomnia that I could not bare so I tried a bunch of different sleeping concoctions, none of which helped.  As of 5/31/18 I totally caved in and started to take Seroquel 25mg for the insomnia.  It helped along with taking antihistamines.  My depression, which I have never had like I do now has gotten really bad.  So Pdoc put me on Seroquel 50mg XR a few days ago to see if it would help with depression. I now have a horrible case of constipation - ugh!! I really want to heal and know that by adding on meds again I am doing the exact opposite.  I so thought that a year and a half after stopping the Lexapro that I would be a new person.  Turns out I am the shell of the person I once was.  The depression has gotten so bad that I have felt like I don't want to live anymore.  I fear that I am going to ruin my marriage as I am not the fun, happy go lucky person he met.  I am holding on by a thread and would love some advice and support.  I read that someone found eating a Lectin-free diet helped them.  I just feel so exhausted from trying to fix myself.  I've gone to so many natrual paths and have found that really nothing has helped.  I'm feeling pretty scared right now.  Thanks in advance.  You are all so brave and amazing.
