I was bright kid but all of a sudden I could not study without massive surge of adrenaline if I think of anything. I started to have muscle jerks and twitched. Everybody said it was just stress and I kept battling it believing everything was in my mind until I could no futher. I was 21 and at this point I was using alcohol to self medicate in social settings. At an internship I went to bathroom and started crying, Phoned my mum and my journey with psychiatric drugs started. I saw psychiatrist and he put me on Zoloft 25 mg. I was happy because I did not feel alone anymore and I thought I can get help. So I thought. I eventually went up to 100 mg Zoloft and that did not work. I then switched to Remeron which made my anxiety and paranoia worst. I was then put on cipralex for a while, also with no effect. This all happened between 2006 and 2008. My father never really wanted to pay for the meds and I felt guilty taking it. I then started my masters with little money.. I was on 50 mg Zoloft between 2008 and 2013. I always had this I surge of adrenaline, anxiety, muscle weakness tired headaches. I always believed what everybody said that…. I should get my mind right. I was battling all the time. Beginning 2013 I started a new job and went crazy the first two months and went to go see the same psychiatrist. I had could afford him now . Now my journey began with the following drugs. 13.08.2013 Zoloft 100mg mane NOW Xanor SR 1mg mane 28.08.2013 Zoloft 100mg mane NOW Xanor SR 1mg mane 03.12.2013 Xanor SR 1mg NOW Paroxetine SR 25mg iso Zoloft 06.03.2014 Luvox 50mg mane Xanor SR 1mg OD 12.06.2014 Luvox 200mg PO OD Xanor SR 1mg OD Pur-Blocka 10mg BD (09:00 and 16:00) 10.09.2014 Luvox 200 mg per dag Xanor 1 mg per dag 28.10.2014 Luvox 200 mg per dag Xanor SR 1 mg per dag Pur-Blocka BD 20mg 13.04.2015 Cymbalta 60mg 17.09.2015 Trazadone 100mg Each new dose or drug gave me hope, but nothing ever work. I always still had high adrenalin tremors difficult concentrating… I was tired of all these drugs and Went cold turkey from trazadone 20151101 and went through hell. Started to have intense ocd night sweats, paranoia higher anxiety and sad. I can only describe it as psychosis. I was near suicide but got help from CBT specialist who but me in contact with psychiatrist. She put me on lexapro and lyrica. Today 20160813 I am on 20 mg Lexapro, 25 mg lyrica and 100 mg Seroquel. The lyrica I had to decrease from 200 mg as it had no effect. I went to go see different psychiatrist and he sent my for MRI. My brain is good and they could not find any fault. I have been for numerous blood test thyroid ect… All came back good. I always had high blood pressure currently 150/100. Some days are better than other s but 99% I suffer. I can feel when it is coming my left brain at back goes numb and I start having tremors paranoia twitches. I also have high adrenaline which causes me to struggle to focus. Sometimes it is so bad that I have body jerks as I walk . When it is better I feel fine then I can focus and talk to people but as soon as I feel this pressure in back of head coming my symptoms start. When I breathe in it is like the pressure on back of head is increasing. I am tired of living like this … ANY HELP or INPUT. Just laying still Ii can feel liquid shifting around especially when it really hurts. · Sometime this numbness spreads to right hand side and feel liquid shifting that side with throbbing. · Causes any small stressor to pulse this part and hurts. Sometimes makes me paranoid I high anxiety but mainly fear response. Startled easily. · Sometimes have twitches in legs arms head. · Causes shakes tremor in hands and head. When trying to do sit up whole head shakes and body. · Some times have brain cut outs where I jerk my head . · When trying to think hard causes twitches and concentration problems. Sometimes reading problems where I have to reread sentences cause I get sharp respons in that area. · Cuases forget fullness walk into rooms forgetting things. Makes it hard to think. When I want to recall or thing hard it hurts. Feels like strain in brain. · Sometimes it hearts bad when and I can just lay in bed and wait for throbbing to end. · Sometimes so bad that I cannot bit coherent thoughts together and everything causes reaction and startles me or causes pain. · Some times have night sweats · Wake up to eat something tduring this bad periods when throbbing takes over and I cannot think of anything. Numbness in head. · When it is bad I have body jerks as I walk in legs. When this sharp pain is not that bad and I don’t feel it that much most of the symptoms become significantly less. This sharp pressure is there 98% of my life. I was tired of all these drugs and Went cold turkey from trazadone 20151101 and went through hell. stan Posted October 23, 2016 Share Posted October 23, 2016 hello, you have your nervous system damaged these drugs act on neurones, they have modified your neurotransmitters over time, some became useless because of the drug and necrose, this all gives false messaging trough the body or false electricity hormones (dopamine, gaba, adrenaline, serotonine...), so you feel water here, numbness there etc... it is normal your scan, mri etc are fine... doctor will never see something, it is time and money spend for nothing because what they do not study is your neurones, there you see the changes between the synapses, you have damage, false hormones amount in neurones , lack of neurotransmitters Psychiatrists do not know today that a psychotropic acts on neurones, and if there is a problem, it is here to look, it is there the changes made by psychotropics, More intelligent, they prefer to look lungs, legs, with their material they can see a cancer, but psychotropic don't give cancer, they act on neurones synapses for anxiety 12 years paxil - cold turkey 1,5 month - switch celexa 1 year taper; total 13 years on brain meds 67 years old - 9 years med free in protracted withdrawal rigidity standing and walking, dryness gougerot-szoegren, sleep deteriorate, function as have a lack of nerves, improving have been very little Link to comment

The start of MY story, was I had a root canal done. 25 years ago! About 3 years after that, problems. Roll on to the present time, got so bad 6 weeks ago, I was bedbound ............. started to realise, I was the only one who could help ME. So I began seeing doctors, getting tests. Battling to get the tests I WANTED> First BINGO I have MTHFR genetics, test was free (australia) because we have Medicare AND I was double positive for the mutation. Low B12, which DOESNT show up on blood tests, with my genetics. Had a homocysteine test. Had a B12 shot, back in the land of the living, time to find out, then why my blood tests are out of whack, high Killer Cells, I have an infection. I read that Root Canal teeth can be the problem. Saw one public health dentist (I have been on Disability now for a few years, due to (?)) diagnosed depression and chronic fatigue. Dentist X rayed, and refused to remove what he called a perfectly good tooth, I was devastated. Damn I could taste that tooth, it tastes rotten, I researched more, and I KNOW that rot does not always show on Xrays. Went to a private dentist, was MUCH more assertive. He Xrayed, and yes, classic, whoever did the root canal 25 years ago, the ""tool broke"" ...... In this decent, big Xray (unlike the tiny 2cm x 2cm one from public health) it can be clearly seen. Dentist dug around the tooth, and bingo, yuck, underneath. He gave me antibiotics yesterday. Today, I dont have the brain farts at all upon waking, no dread or fear. Still exhausted, and having a herx. First morning in a long time, where I havent felt nauseas. First morning the sunshine and light isnt bothering me. All these things improved heaps, with the B12 shot, but the improvement today is profound. One damn antibiotic tablet. I know that might mess up other things, hope not, as my own immune system, has done a half decent job, keeping me alive for 20 years with bacteria (stahp aureas and coloform) in that damn tooth, god knows what other bacteria are lurking in my beautiful, looks wonderful, bacteria breeding ""dead tooth". I am no doctor, but I did work in pathology, and understand pathogens. My advice? Research the links Root canals or Dead teeth........ even Weston Price. Left side of my face, was a horrible rash, itchy, I believe now it is/was staph infection coming out. When I asked where the root canal tooth was (luckily I only have one ) was lower left jaw. My body was telling me, but I was tuned in. Not until I had the B12, and my brain began functioning a bit better. So, for those 20 odd years, I have been to see doctors, psychiatrists, ENT specialist who had to operate to fix perforated eardrum from these infections 15 years ago!, a Lyme Literate Doctor, to get checked for that. Please read about dead teeth. Now I have researched more, it becomes clear. Imagine if you had frostbite on your finger, and the finger died, it gets removed, it does not get left to get infected. With my root canal tooth, I could not feel any pain from it being infected, because it is dead, no live nerve. Best wishes, have a good christmas! Mig Posted February 17, 2017 Author Share Posted February 17, 2017 Hi Thanks for the input. Sorry for late reply, but i took your advice. I checked my root cannal and all my teeth and all is good and healthy. This time i started to come of the drugs slowly. I am currently on 10 mg Lexapro and will soon shift down to 5 mg. The less of the drug i started to take the more pain i started to feel on left side between skull and neck. I now have full blown neck pain that radiates down arm and sometimes leg. All on the left side. Some days are beter than other and sometimes it flares up with full force. I noted that everytime a try to think hard concentrate this nerve on left hand side flares up and hurts and i cannot think past certain point. Hence it makes it very difficult to learn new things(language, music theory). The theory now is that the drugs numbed the pain or the actual cause. I think this is what caused all the panic attacks and anxiety. I am waiting to do neck MRI now. Tests i done: Alot of blood tests and 24 hour urine tests. Brain MRI -clean CT scan of adrenal glands -clean Spinal tap - clean Second brain MRI - clean Thanks for the imput and sorry about grammar and spelling. If so, PLEASE don't. Lexapro is a very potent medication; to minimize the risk of withdrawal dose changes should be very small and spread out over time. My psychiatrist said i must taper in 5 mg intervals, becuase there is no grams in between 10mg and 5 mg. Health update. Only on left side: Shoulder numb and in pain and between skull and neck . Needles and pins in left hand. Unable to get excited or concentrated hard as this causes pain in neck. Feels like nerve is flaring up. Difficult learning new theories. (When i try to think or concentrate it feels like a nerve flairs up and blocks me from following through with thought) Sometimes it flares up and then I am in alot of pain (neck and arm) Sometimes ringing in ears. I can only do small task for short periods and then i have to rest to let pain cool down. All these symptoms got worse and worse the more a tapered down from 20 mg Lexpro to 10mg and Sroquel 150mg to 0 mg. Good news is I am anxiety and fear "free",It depends on how sensitive i am to the pain on spesific days.
