Social murder and conservative economics

Robert Chernomas and Ian Hudson argue that conservative economics have led to a more dangerous society.

Various psychiatric drug treatments since 1990. Prozac & Stelazine in 1994 for a few years. 1200mg Amisulpride in 1998 for a year. 1999 to current time have maintained 200mg of Amisulpride & increased to 300mg a few years ago, with 2 stopping attempts in 2001 & 2003/4. i stopped all medications 5 times, for around 8 years in total, but the last 3 withdrawal/stopping attempts were disastrous. Am very unsure about stopping medication again. Have recently (in Winter 2018) had to increase the Amisulpride to 400mg.

Schizophrenia is interpersonal ?

https://www.humaneclinic.com.au/single-post/2017/10/16/Schizophrenia-is-interpersonal-

"The debate about the origin of schizophrenia being genetic, social, biological, drug induced etc rumbles on and on. But what of the spaces where the person with so called schizophrenia, voices, hallucinations, paranoia etc. inter-relates in a safe, constructive and validating relationship and the prominence, distress and threat no longer take priority?

Is the person in an altered state presenting a narrative of fear and response to fear, that he or she experiences in unsafe relationships and the world around them? What might happen when the person who is sitting facing them, who has labelled and described their legitimate functional adaption to cumulative interpersonal trauma as an ‘illness’, ceases to label and instead offers their own self in relationship with the person in a so called psychotic state?

Recently I have been noticing a lot less ‘psychosis’ in the consulting room. Perhaps more important, noticing less and less interest by the person that may have been labelled or self-labelled as psychotic, in talking about or even experiencing the ‘psychosis’.  This may potentially be a good thing, but If psychosis itself is not the priority to the ‘psychotic person’, then what might be the difficulty?  Could it be that the psychosis, altered state was simple an expression of unsafe relationship and when that relationship becomes safe the ‘messenger’ or altered state does not need to speak so loud to maintain safety?"

Letting the suffering of others touch us

https://www.humaneclinic.com.au/single-post/2017/06/07/Letting-the-suffering-of-others-touch-us

"Healing occurs as 'that which has been rejected' comes into contact with love/acceptance/human presence, that does not turn away.

The fact that another persons' suffering impacts me is part of the healing process for the other. We would never want to get to a place where we are not affected by that, but that we do need to offer ourselves the same supports we offer the other person.

Its important to find layers of support. Layers of relational spaces to share and be heard and accepted and loved. To find a space for this pain and existential suffering to live so it doesn’t destroy you."

Late 2023- gone to emeritus status, inactive, don't @ me, I can check who I've posted on, and I'm not really here like I used to be......thanks.

Started with psycho meds/psychiatric care circa 1988.  In retrospect, and on contemplation, situational overwhelm.

Rounding up to 30 years of medications(30 medication trials, poly-pharmacy maximum was 3 at one time).

5/28/2015-off Adderal salts 2.5mg. (I had been on that since hospital 10/2014)

12/2015---just holding, holding, holding, with trileptal/oxcarb at 75 mg. 1/2 tab at hs.  My last psycho med ever!  Tapered @ 10% every 4 weeks, sometimes 2 weeks to

2016 Dec 16 medication free!!

Longer signature post here, with current supplements.

Herb and alcohol free since 5/15/2016.  And.....I quit smoking 11/2021. Lapsed.  Redo of quit smoking 9/28/2022.  Can you say Hallelujah?(took me long enough)💜

Many thanks for pointing them out.

I am a great believer in that our primaeval brains and "souls" are in a totally alien environment nowadays, and have been for many generations.

Many of those closest to us seem to be unaffected by these thoughts, and they are fortunate.

Never mind, carry on carrying on and look for more positive views on the next horizon!

Best wishes.

On the subject of other life / Aliens -

In November 2013, astronomers reported, based on Kepler space mission data, that there could be as many as 40 billion Earth-sized planets orbiting in the habitable zones of Sun-like stars and red dwarfs in the Milky Way, 11 billion of which may be orbiting Sun-like stars.

In one calculation, the Milky Way has a mass of about 100 billion solar masses, so it is easiest to translate that to 100 billion stars. This accounts for the stars that would be bigger or smaller than our sun, and averages them out. Other mass estimates bring the number up to 400 billion.

There are a 2,000 Billion Galaxies within the known Universe, each with a similar estimation of stars - 2,0000 Billion Galaxies X 100 to 400 Billion Stars - 2,000 Billion Galaxies x 40 Billion planets.

It is incomprehensible.

i do fee that the Universe / Galaxy is teeming with life, & that different planets / species / civilizations are at different rates of spiritual & technological development.

Some civilizations / species have in my view fully technologically mastered all physical / dimensional reality. Others have mastered spiritual advancement, & others have mastered both the technological & spiritual.

i feel that there are at least 20 or so other species in direct contact with earth, & a number of spiritually advanced / ascended / far more advanced civilizations within some kind of esoteric / psychic communications.

Some 5 species i think are more significant than others. What can be considered to be an intergalactic species that seeds life on planets. A reptilian type. Grey type, & the Gardeners who help look after the Earth / Humanity, & an ascended civilisation.

"From The New Yorker: A number of studies show that much of the damage done by being poor comes not from the conditions of poverty itself, but from the psychological effects of inequality and low socioeconomic status in comparison to others.

“Payne is now a professor at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He has come to believe that what’s really damaging about being poor, at least in a country like the United States—where, as he notes, even most people living below the poverty line possess TVs, microwaves, and cell phones—is the subjective experience of feeling poor. This feeling is not limited to those in the bottom quintile; in a world where people measure themselves against their neighbors, it’s possible to earn good money and still feel deprived. ‘Unlike the rigid columns of numbers that make up a bank ledger, status is always a moving target, because it is defined by ongoing comparisons to others,’ Payne writes.”"

St Germain

Master of the Violet Flame, Chohan of the Seventh Ray

"Saint Germain is the chohan of the seventh ray, sponsor of the United States of America, and master alchemist of the sacred fire who comes bearing the gift of the violet flame of freedom for world transmutation. Together with his twin flame, the ascended lady master Portia, the Goddess of Justice, he is the hierarch of the Aquarian age. He is the great sponsor of freedom's flame, while Portia is the sponsor of the flame of justice. The name Saint Germain comes from the Latin Sanctus Germanus, meaning simply “Holy Brother.”"

Can today's crisis in mental health be seen as the result of neoliberalism? We asked the panelists to reflect on the aftermath of the 2007/08 financial crisis and the austerity policies which followed, but then to engage with how the slashing of expenditure on public services and increase in private debt has been met with questions around whether these factors are exacerbating mental health problems. This event titled, ‘Mental Health and Neoliberalism’, sought to situate the growing awareness of psychological distress in relation to such exogenous cultural and economic structures of oppression, but also examine how new technologies may be amplifying certain self-obsessive psychological states, such as attention and feedback addiction from social media and mobile devices.

Most simply put, it can be expressed as the loss of control by workers over their own work. This alienation of the workers means that they effectively cease to be autonomous human beings, because they cannot control their workplace, the products they produce, or even the way they relate to each other. Because this fundamentally defines their conditions of existence, this means that workers can never become autonomous and self-realised human and social beings under capitalism.

This alienation, combined with commodity fetishism, creates a peculiar kind of unfreedom - which is often not even widely noticed, because individual emancipation appears to result from "universal saleability". So every living creature is effectively transformed into property and all social relations become transactionary.

Independent Review of the Mental Health Act (UK)

www.gov.uk/government/groups/independent-review-of-the-mental-health-act

There is one for mental health service users with lived experience of detention under the Mental Health Act and one for carers of people who have this experience.

The Department of Health has clarified that the surveys can be used either to suggest completely new mental health legislation (as you will know, the United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities has recommended a move away from medical models and an end to detentions and compulsory treatment), or to suggest amendments to the current Mental Health Act and its implementation.

You can access the surveys by clicking on the following links:

Independent Mental Health Act Review Survey: People who are currently or have been sectioned under the Mental Health Act

Independent Mental Health Act Review Survey: People who have supported a person that has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act

You can then complete the survey relevant to you online, or print a copy and post it to the following address:

Closing date: Completed surveys need to arrive by Wednesday 28 February.

How One Woman is Reclaiming Herbalism as a Form of Resistance
Danielle DorseyFeb 3, 2018 Culture Health

“One of the things colonization did, and they even did this to white people, is it removed the spiritual component from all of the healing practices it touched. A lot of people nowadays are drawn to a holistic healing model because it involves the mind, body, and spirit, but all medicine used to be like this, even that which came from Europe. There was a strong connection to the earth and plants were treated as spirits, not commodities. They were really big on approaching medicine with the right intention and believed that plants could enhance our innate power. You see a lot of people nowadays seeking this out with ayahuasca ceremonies, because they want to feel this spiritual enhancement and powerful connection to plants, but it doesn’t matter what you’re taking, whether it’s peyote or a plant that has no hallucinogenic effects, you can still have a powerful connection to that plant if you’re spiritually open to it. This was something that was inseparable from healing practice and that hasn’t been completely lost, but we definitely have a lot of work to do in reclaiming it, especially in the most colonized people.”

World needs “revolution” in mental health care – UN rights expert

GENEVA (6 June 2017) – The United Nations Special Rapporteur on the right to health, Dainius Pūras, has called for a sea change in mental health care around the world, urging States and psychiatrists to act with courage to reform a crisis-hit system built on outdated attitudes.

“We need little short of a revolution in mental health care to end decades of neglect, abuse and violence,” Mr. Pūras said after presenting his latest report to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
