JackieDecides
I'm sorry you aren't better yet & hope the antibiotics work for you. Currently taking Ramapril (blood pressure) 5 mg twice a day Omeprazole 10 mg AM and 20 mg PM (the taper has gone nowhere after the first cut) Famotidine once a day (and I still needs tums sometimes) magnesium 200 mg at night as of yesterday 2 fish oil capsules "EPA-DHA 1000" off Lexapro as of 5/2018 - last dose had been 5 mg every other day for a couple years highest dose had been 20 mg at which point I was diagnosed with Bipolar II, which went away when I cut the lexapro down to 15 mg. I spent years on Paxil before Lexapro (can't remember dose), briefly on Effexor and Abilify and others I have forgotten. in fact, when I was diagnoses with BPII I was put on all kinds of things which made me feel so bad I stopped them cold turkey within maybe 3 or 4 weeks, thank goodness. since then I've known these pills were terrible and I weaned down the Lexapro with zero help or support over I'm not sure how many years. Moderator Emeritus Gridley Posted July 7, 2019 Author Moderator Emeritus Share Posted July 7, 2019 I was nervous about taking the amoxicillin but I've had two doses without any problems, so that looks okay. I'm feeling a bit better. I'm spacing my probiotic (necessary for a separate medical condition) between the antibiotic doses. Thanks to all who wrote in. Moderator Emeritus Gridley Posted July 18, 2019 Author Moderator Emeritus Share Posted July 18, 2019 (edited) I'm finally well, and after a 4-week hold (which I probably needed anyway), I'm back to tapering Lexapro, down to 2.3mg. I've found that taking a small (25mg) dose of magnesium glycinate when I wake up in the middle of the night gets me an extra bit of sleep, and another 25mg when I wake again around dawn lets me eke out a little more. Moderator Emeritus Gridley Posted August 21, 2019 Author Moderator Emeritus Share Posted August 21, 2019 Here's a symptom update, compared with 6 months ago, when I was 3.8mg Lexapro, just about twice what I'm taking now. Basically, I'm doing better. I did have an uptick in symptoms in the 3.5 to 2.5 range, but that seems to have resolved. I'm doing a good bit of mediation and putting areas of concern in the Light (prayer). pain in chest/heart - gone paresthesia - improved sleep - about the same, varies from 5 to 8 hours, broken anhedonia/apathy/no joie d'vivre - this is probably my worst symptom and is unimproved cortisol mornings - much improved,, almost gone anxiety - improved; still hits me but less hives - gone stiff, painful back of neck - was significant, now almost gone adhesion pain from gas - virtually gone backache - much improved irritability - improved ruminations - still some in early morning but I'm employing some techniques to stop it, mostly telling myself, "Think Good Thoughts" and doing so (since energy follows thought and good things are what I want to manifest) Now that I'm getting pretty low in dosage, I'm slowing down a bit with three-week holds instead of two. I'm doing a crossover from my old brand of Lorazepam, no longer available, to name-brand Ativan and will hold my taper until that's done. Gridley Introduction Lexapro 20 mg since 2004. Moderator Emeritus Carmie Posted August 22, 2019 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted August 22, 2019 Hi Gridley, Lovely to hear that a lot of your symptoms have improved. I’m sorry the anhedonia is still bad, I get it quite bad too but I just keep making myself do the things I would do if I didn’t haven’t it. Hope all goes well with your crossover. I was thinking about you the other day when I was at an agricultural show and they had donkeys there. Got to pet them. Also loved the llamas and the baby chicks. Hope you’re coping okay today.💚 Seroquel. 2019:➡️ From 7.25mg to 5.80mg✔️ 2020➡️From 5.60 to 4.80✔️ 2021➡️From 4.60 to 4.0✔️ 2022➡️From 3.95 to 3.55✔️2023➡️ Jan 26=3.50✔️March 17=3.45✔️ June12=3.40✔️ July30=3.35✔️ Sep14=3.30✔️ Oct31=3.25✔️ 2024➡️Jan15=3.20✔️ Feb19=3.15✔️ March26=3.10✔️This is NOT medical advice.Consult your doctor. Yes, once you've unpacked and settled in, things will even out. Enjoy your new house and city--civilization! Good to hear from you, Wantrelief. It was good to write everything down and see the improvement. Thanks Gridley: I’m sure things will settle down as soon as I do. I’m just taking it slow and not worried about it. I just can’t or my anxiety will ramp up worse. I’m so glad you are doing well. JackieDecides
I've never known any donkeys but they sound sweet. I haven't had any pets since last March and I miss that. I hope some day I feel financially secure enough to have one again.
