Thanks @Gridley. I'm okay, stability is happening. Waves are becoming less intense, days less variable. Am definitely healing. Gradually creeping back out into the world, which is a bit weird, so taking everything really slowly.

Hi, Gridley,

Ooh, Ecuador has run out of Ativan.  I’m glad you were prepared!  Way to go, you.  I’m sorry that it may changes your plans, but there will probably be more available in the next 8 months.

Yes, I have seen a lot of improvement.  The past 3-4 weeks have been pretty rough, but I’ve been more or less pain free for three days now.  Whew!  I was able to exercise yesterday, and was able to do some organizing the last two days.  I was beginning to get down.  So, this is a relief.

I hope you have a good night.

Hi @Gridley.

Just saw how low you've gotten and are almost done with Lexapro!

I am very, very happy for you!  I've watched you (and others)

after being told by a certain Dr. not to risk stopping this drug.

Your journey, among others, has been inspirational for mine.

Thank you for being a trailblazer and for all your input along the way.

Praying things go smoothly forward for you.

Thanks Gridley, I'm doing well. Really improving and feeling much more consistently stable. Gonna sit tight this year and hoping to begin a taper in Spring :)

Hi Grid, i am seeing you have had a conscious taper plan with lexapro. It should have been easy to push it in 3 years i think. I have a plan for remeron to finish it in 3 years for the sake of being functional. That sounds right to you?

2014-2017- Prozac-on and offs-minor issues

2018 December - Abilifiy 2.5 off - 2 months- bad anx.

2019 until May some ADs on and off and hospital

2019 May - (Brintellix 10 mg-Lamictal 100 mg-Remeron 15 mg CT after 2 weeks)

-Remeron journey-

19/7 15 mg fast taper 18/8 12 mg 12/9 11.5 mg holding

2020 1/2 10,8 mg 26/2 10,65 mg 5/3 10,5 mg 11/3 10,35 mg 18/3 10,2 mg 25/3 10,05 mg 14/4 9,9 mg 21/4 9,75 mg 16/5 9.45 mg 6/6 9.3 mg 25/7 9.15 17/8 9 14/8,77

That would have been going a good bit faster than the 10% every four weeks rate we recommend.  Using the 10% rate, you decrease by one-half every six months.  Going from 20mg to 0.07 would take four years.

You're using a micro-taper that varies from month to month, so I can't really calculate how long your taper would take.  We always listen to your body rather than hold to a schedule.

@Erell

Thanks for dropping by, Erell.  I'm doing fine.  I'll be deciding in a couple of weeks, depending on how I feel, whether to jump to zero from 0.05 or to go a little lower to 0.025.

I hope you're settling into your crossover and feeling better.

Thanks for dropping by, Cigale.  Yes, it's a very small amount of powder now, a bit hard to measure.   Next week I'll decide whether to go lower to 0.025 or jump to zero.  Some of it will depend on my ability to work with the tiny bits of powder--and of course how I'm feeling.  I had some good days last week.  I'll be definitely happy to stop taking the Lexapro.

How are you doing?

Oh @Gridley you are so close, and I am so excited for you to reach zero! I can't even imagine how minute the dose must be. You must be using a magnifying glass at this point. I do hope you post to your thread on your final dose day, but I will be lurking and waiting to celebrate that momentous event.

I am hanging in there. It helps to find inspiration in YOU and all the other amazingly strong and compassionate people here.
