Hey!

I don't know anything about akathesia. Thanx God I never got it.

Covid doesn't worsen the WD symptoms but gave me the covid once for around 10 days. I was afraid of the vaccination too. But what scared me more was longcovid on top of medf......!

I hope u can improve soon. I think I am what they so call WD stable. But it isn't really a good life.

Happy Easter

Hey sorry for the late response, how are you doing now? My akathesia has improved quite a lot, I think I will fully recover some day soon! I hope that gives hope to anyone currently suffering with it. ♡

Hey!

Good to hear u getting better. I still feel insanely weird and I started to forget about recovery. I simply don't believe it. For me it's an heavy brain disorder. I got burning sensation at neck and back, headaches, headpressure, Dizziness, weakness, DP, aphaty.....

Honestly I start to believe that for some ppl it's over after meddamage.

Hope the best for u.

I'm so sorry to hear this, I had some of these symptoms too but they're much milder now. Everyone heals differently, my first withdrawals felt like there was no progress or windows until they suddenly healed almost completely on the 2 year mark. I really hope the best for you too, and I'm here if you need to talk.

Thanks! With the akathesia, it mostly only comes out if there's a big trigger (I stayed in the sun for too long last week and somehow that set it off badly). But otherwise I'm so much better, I can do things now I couldn't even dream of when it was at it's worse. I'm getting symptoms of fibromyalgia though, I mention that because I've seen on akathesia groups that there's a connection between the 2 sometimes, I think it's a residual thing?

My pgad is almost as healed as it was before the weed, I'm hoping one day it'll be fully healed, but I'm functional now at least :). I still have chronic earworm (music in my head 24/7) and slight tinnitus, I believe these will heal too since they were just starting to get windows before the weed.

Overall I feel great, I'm functional and hopeful again so yay!

It's so nice to see that sun here, thank you! I really never believed I'd ever start to recover, it's been such a confusing journey so I'm happy to give hope to others who have been through the same. I'm definitely excited for the day I can add to the success stories! 😊

I found out yesterday one of the symptoms I assumed was part of akathesia, is actually anhedonia (sudden emotional death). Although I also get another similar symptom which I'm unsure if it's a part of it, aka or even fibromyalgia, where my brain has a sensation of dark cotton or fog, and it's yawning and feeling like an overly exhausted muscle.

It's helpful to know about the anhedonia because now I see a pattern where it's come on after doing a lot of dopamine-inducing activities (I've been working hard on a ton of things to get some extra money). I'm going to try meditation and simple scheduling so I limit the about of activities I do, hopefully it should help.

I tried a small bit of alcohol recently and now I'm getting hypnic jerks as I fall asleep as well as a return of my dyskinesia (and/or dystonia(?)), my whole body is shaking and I'll get build of pressure somewhere before it suddenly jerks. I'm somewhat confident it'll calm down in time since I've had all this before and it eventually went away. I'm also under A LOT of stress this past month which probably contributes. But yee.. I wasn't expecting such a small bit of alcohol to do this - I didn't even feel any of the alcohol effects! I definitely don't reccomend.

Sadly I'm struggling a lot of with the cravings. Before I smoked the weed that caused this, I was addicted to alcohol (probably contributed to the damage from weed) and I had to stop cold turkey. It's definitely for the best, like a blessing in disguise lol but damn I wish it'd get easier already.

Sorry for the late reply, my anhedonia seems a lot better now. I mainly just get mildish bouts of depression throughout the day now. And my akathisia has improved massively to almost non-existant (except recently which I'm about to make an update post on).

Im sorry to hear you're struggling, it really is exhausting. Are you doing any better now?

Please can anyone help me with this? I don't know what has caused this sudden flare up.

I'm getting symptoms of my usual acute withdrawals, mainly the pudendal neuralgia ones (pgad, bad pain in butt, pins and needles etc) and digestion (yellow stools). I'm also getting very slight akathisia (or dyskinesia) again where my muscles all over my body randomly tense and untense. It's as if I've withdrawn from a drug again, it's very confusing.

The only factors I can think of is these:

- recently spray painted something with primer, without wearing proper respitory protection.

- had a uti (and took cystitis relief saches (not antibiotics) for it)

- eating probiotic yoghurt every day (to keep the uti away)

- taking d-mannos every day for same reason

- also drinking lots of cranberry juice (which causes me a lot of stomach acid) for same reason

- had massive amount of stress recently/currently

Please any ideas would be highly appreciated! ♡

Pretty much all my acute withdrawals have come back over this week now, I don't know why. But I'm not gonna be updating here on this site any more.

Thank you to all the kind people who have helped me here over the years. Feel free to dm me, I'll try and check as often as I remember. Take care all. ♡
