blackhill4
Thank you for replying my friend! When i was early in withdrawal i thought i had brain damage lol. I can laugh now but with the aggression, violent thoughts, confusion, shaking ( felt like convulsions), akithisia and all the other junk it wasn't funny then. In your history i see " drug toxicity" which i think i had as well. blackhill4
Not at all Citalopram originally made me very agitated, physically to a degree but mentally was much worse. Felt panicked and "off" like I was going to just attack someone for no reason, felt hatred for everything. Acted arrogantly and selfishly, scared some people pretty bad. The mental agitation is the worst single symptom maybe besides akithisia. Paxil 2007-2012, somnolence for a few months so quit, anxiety gets severe again, put on citalopram (horrible reaction). blackhill4
After i got off citalopram i suffered typical withdrawal stuff so my doc put me back on paxil ( had 5 good years with paxil before) this was a very, very costly decision. I felt tingling across my head after taking the paxil, deranged thoughts continued. I felt kinda wobbly and drunk, semi awake and confused, felt horribly sick and got a headache that nearly made me pass out. Stayed on paxil for 2 months because doc upped it, felt sicker... felt so bad it was either stop the drugs completely or suicide. So i stopped the drugs cold turkey Paxil 2007-2012, somnolence for a few months so quit, anxiety gets severe again, put on citalopram (horrible reaction). LexAnger
Wow, the reaction you got from Paxil was very much like what I got from updose Lexapro. The severe hangover, derealization and coma like status are my major reaction to only 1 dose increase (3.2 to 4.2mg). How long was the time between the initial 5 yr Paxil and the citopram? How long did it take for the drunk/semi awake go away? blackhill4
Rough patch lately, derealised pretty bad and have had some slight confusion as well. Been having some "old feelings" though, like how i felt before my reaction/wd this is great but it is very minimal right now. Still something positive anyway Paxil 2007-2012, somnolence for a few months so quit, anxiety gets severe again, put on citalopram (horrible reaction). Used august 2013-September 2013, quit and doctor reinstates paxil (reaction again ) on from sep to dec. Quit cold turkey and suffer problems to this day Link to comment
