Not the subject being discussed, the one playing in your head. For the one bring discussed you just have to walk away.

20 years on Paxil starting at 20mg and working up to 40mg. Sept 2011 started 10% every 6 weeks taper (2.5% every week for 4 weeks then hold for 2 additional weeks), currently at 7.9mg. Oct 2011 CTed 15oz vodka a night, to only drinking 2 beers most nights, totally sober Feb 2013.

Since I wrote this I have continued to decrease my dose by 10% every 6 weeks (2.5% every week for 4 weeks and then hold for an additional 2 weeks). I added in an extra 6 week hold when I hit 10mg to let things settle out even more. When I hit 3mgpw it became hard to split the drop into 4 parts so I switched to dropping 1mgpw (pill weight) every week for 3 weeks and then holding for another 3 weeks.  The 3 + 3 schedule turned out to be too harsh so I cut back to dropping 1mgpw every 4 weeks which is working better.

Current dose 0.000mg 04-15-2017

Making a note of the last few days.

The frequent urination is shocking ,in the last 2 days im holding no fluids .

The stomach bug didn't come to anything serious .

I have been a little more relaxed but can be easily pulled out of this by distraction.

The crushing fatigue was ok yesterday until 1700 it came on but its been worse.

My OCD thoughts are annoying .

Ive noticed lately my brain wants to do things quicker than my body alows ,theres quite a conflict/tug of war going on in my brain.

Im at a point today im looking forward to relaxing on the couch rather than fighting the fact I cant go out ,its cold out and my body is just not liking it.

Ile stick with 1.1ml prozac and crumb of effexor for the time being I think.

sounds like a wise move pb, hold for a few months until the effexor withdrawal loses its intensity i think,

happy st patricks day

June 2016 - felt strong enough to begin tapering again, started what I thought was a slow taper of all meds,  2016 July Not had any alcoholic drink since this date,

2016 October completely off diazepem, 2017 Feb completely off seroquel, 2017 March completely off proponanlol, 2017 April (day before birthday) completely off venlafaxine, OFF ALL MEDS 11/4/2017, was fine for nearly 3 months and then delayed withdrawal hit,

Hi Bridgetini ,thanks for your visit, the fact my body isn't up to anything makes the weather situation ok ,the nicer the weather the worse it is being housebound in my eyes .I see the cold and rain and that makes the decision for me ,so pressure off  .silver linings hey .

Ive had access today to built up and repressed emotion ,I balled crying  and to say its cathartic is an understatement ,the relief in my chest is amazing  ,I have access to what others see in me today  and what a fire that burns in me .dam I need to remember this .

I have access to the sympathy of my struggle rather than the judgment that my critic brings.

Anyway this needs noting .

Thanks 🙏.

Prozac targets primarily serotonin and Effexor targets both serotonin and norepinephrine.

At dose of over 150mg Effexor XR, seratonin and norepinephrine targetted.

Up to 150mg, only seratonin targetted.  That is how I understand it.

Thinking of you pb.  I know you will think the above point is tedious for yourself in your position of suffering, but I feel it is best to mention it.

Maybe someone else will confirm the dose thing?

Hi peng I hope your well.

In regards to the 150mg effexor you quote,im confused how this relates to me ,its around 4 years I was on 75mg let alone 150mg,which I never even took.

This information doesn't really help my situation with a very compromised nervous system because of withdrawal ,not in relation to finding my sweet spot medication.

Im calling myself out today for being a wally brain plonker .

I got it into my head on Tuesday and Wednesdays to do a project with a friend,it ended up being more physical than I anticipated ,I was not up to it but I did what I do best and ignored my common sense .im furious with myself now ,im bed ridden in bits, the fatigue in my brain is torture .I have undone months of resting.my mental state is shockingly fragile now.

Why am I making such mistakes ,this one is very harsh and my critic is raging at me now ,im paying dearly for this mistake .

I don't have the right to come on here and moan about my symptom's when im single handily causing the issue myself .

I wont forget this lesson for a long time .

I deserve the misery I am now suffering .

No sympathy please ,I just wanted to make a note of the biggest mistake of the year by far and maybe of my whole long winded withdrawal process .

2016 October completely off diazepem, 2017 Feb completely off seroquel, 2017 March completely off proponanlol, 2017 April (day before birthday) completely off venlafaxine, OFF ALL MEDS 11/4/2017, was fine for nearly 3 months and then delayed withdrawal hit,

supplements taking: turmeric capsules, NiaCel (nicotinamide riboside), Vit B12 sublingual, Vit B3, Vit B6, Vit B1, apple cider vinegar, manuka umf 10 honey, camu camu powder,  melatonin when needed, epsom salt baths, juices, smoothies,

good analogy dj2010! we're all guilty over overpushing ourselves when we have a better day, it's human nature. just rest up and try to remember to go a bit slower next time. look at the positives - you enjoyed doing a project with a friend which is good for your mental health. you've knocked yourself sideways but in a good way so i'm sure you haven 't undone months of resting and healing. keep the thoughts of the good you've done foremost in your brain and rest up until you get your strength back mentally and physically.

be nice to yourself - you did good!!! 👍👍👍

Took prozac 40 mg for 20 years.

January 2017 started cutting down prozac by 12.5% a week. End of February 2017 completely off prozac and withdrawals began.

Amlodipine: October 2017 , discontinued 26 Feb 2019; Candesartan:  26 Feb 2019, 4mg.

Discontinued magnesium citrate 200mg Apr 3rd 2019

Reinstated prozac:  14 Jan 2019, 1mg; 26 Jan, 1.5mg; 4 Feb, 2mg; 16 Feb, 2.5mg; 2 Mar, 3mg; 5 Mar, 2.5mg, 23 Mar, 3 mg; 6 Apr, 3.5mg, 14 Apr 4mg, 23 Apr 5mg

You will be fine pb, we all make these mistakes although they are not really mistakes more like learning what can do and can’t,

our nervous system is a bit like a bottle of fizzy pop, once it gets shaken up it takes a while for all the fiz to go down and to settle, just take it easy and you will be back to baseline soon

take care

Hi Mate ,I hope so ,im actually in a suicidal mood with anger and judgement at myself .I'm furious .

Thanks for your wise wisdom .

Thanks TCIB for your visit

.if I was nice to myself I would of said no to doing it .I totally disrespected the situation im in at the moment ,the same kind of project a year ago would of been ok .ive affectively put myself house bound because of it.

Totall ego controlled me ,simple as. I didnt enjoy it ,the whole time I was saying what in the world are you doing .

The analogy I come up with at the moment is "the fizzy pop bottle has gone through the shredder ",I akin what I did to going out on a drinking bender and I can never do the drinking for the rest of my life because I would never forgive myself.

I will put them 2 dates on the wall in a frame so I never forget  ,im so furious, im even going to say that I was using power tools ,who in the world uses dangerous power tools while in withdrawl .I could have easily made a mistake and had a skill saw jam into my leg ,I actually nearly did .I got home that night and thought of the incident again and it gave me a fright.just the thought jolted my nervous system.

Keep yourself well TCIB and take care .

Hi @powerback ! Sorry to hear about your situation. I was in the exact same spot about 3 weeks ago. Tons of anger and rage, and a lot of self-criticism & discouragement.

Just want to encourage you not to forget all the amazing things you've already accomplished. You've been alcohol free since 2015. That's incredible!! And, you're now only on a small dose of AD. You're in a good position - despite this rough patch.

Don't forget all the good you've already done. We tend to forget this during dark times.

I'm rooting for you! Don't give up!

Not sure what a wally brain plonker is, but you must tell your raging self-critic to stuff it.

You tried to help a friend and overdid the strenuous exercise. This is not in any way like going on a bender.

Just let your body and brain rest. A little physical challenge might have moved the ball along. (Next time, not as strenuous.)

Lol ,irish slang for an idiot.

It was fairly physical ,its work I was used to before the worst of withdrawal.

Im calling myself out on this because I dont have the right to waste you and the moderators time by going and doing such work .its set me back hugely.

Thanks Alto ,take care.

Not a waste of time -- I've added "wally brain plonker" to my vocabulary.
