pooky75: Need Help with DMLT Diazepam Plan

I'm new to this site.  I visit benzo buddies but I'm left feeling confused.  I am currently on 4.5mg of liquid concentrate diazepam.  I am holding because I cut a little too much a few weeks ago and am really feeling symptoms.  Does anyone on here know about the "daily micro liquid taper"  how should I go about doing this?  I have a 1ml syringe with .01 increments but if I follow what people tell me and cut .02 a day that seems like a lot and it seems like it would catch up to me and I would get hit!  any experience or advice would really be appreciated.

Hi Pooky, welcome to SA.  You are right thinking that reducing by 0.2 a day will cause problems later. I am not a benzo exoert but if you post a topic for yourself in the benzo form someone will be able to advise you there.

It would be helpful if you can fill in your signature for us, you can find how to do that here...

Withdrawal April 2013 . Reinstated 5 beads reduced to 4 beads May 2013

Restarted taper  Nov 2013

OFF EFFEXOR Feb 2015    :D

Tapered atenolol and omeprazole Dec 2013 - May 2014

Tapering tramadol, Feb 2015 100mg , March 2015 50mg

My story http://survivingantidepressants.org/index.php?/topic/4199-hello-mammap-checking-in/page-33

Lesson learned, slow down taper at lower doses. Taper no more than 10% of CURRENT dose if possible

Hi, Pooky.

Welcome to SA from me, too.

As MammaP mentioned, we do have a members-only benzo forum.

As far as tapering benzos, here on Surviving Antidepressants, we go slower than many people taper on Benzo Buddies. And we advocate using longer holds and even slight updoses when needed. If cutting .02 a day is causing symptoms, than you may want to consider a smaller reduction and possibly holding longer. There's no rush. It's better to be functional than to rush your taper.

Please start a thread for yourself here in the members-only benzo forum.
