Scorpio: Will this ever end?

So I think there have been improvements but disappear when waves hit and the waves out number the good days at the moment.

Sad to say, this is a fairly normal stabilization pattern, it's very slow and frustrating.

Are you nauseous before you take Cipralex or only afterward?

Hi mirage

thank you for responding and I’m so sorry you are sharing this rotten wave with me - hell isnt it.

The anxiety is just the worst isnt it, it restricts me so much. The dizziness yes I was the same - could lay with head on a cushion but not flat and has been like that since w/d. But the last three weeks or so it’s gone virtually and I can lay flat on my back, , occasionally I will get a bit swimmy but then it goes. The vision is like a pre migraine aura - strange and disturbing, have to just stop and try and close my eyes through it afterwards have tight band feeling round my head for a few hours. Hopefully very soon your balance will settle very soon too.

‘’And you also, here’s to both of us feeling better again soon.

Hugs

Hi alto

thank you, what you say gives me reassurance that I will stick with the 1mg and wait it out for better stability before I try and reduce slowly. The nausea comes and goes at different times of the day there is no pattern and not every day anymore only when in the bad days.

‘’Thank you so much for responding.

A little anti-nausea or seasickness drug might help with the dizziness and nausea. Get the gentlest you can find at the druggist. Take a quarter-tablet to try, if you can.

Oh my dear Scorpio,,

To think, I met you almost a year ago.  I usually love to celebrate special occasions like anniversaries, and In retrospect I suppose I will, in that there is one good thing about these filthy, stinking rotten bloody antidepressants, they led me to you.  Without whom I would be so very lost.

I'm so very sorry you are done in by these blasted withdrawal symptoms.  I was so hoping the respite into normalcy would last for you.  It does seem cruel I know.  You remember what it feels like to be human and then whack..  I think it is time to visit the cursing thread.  Profanity and lots of it, seems to be the only prescription I am fond of these days.  Particularly the word that begins with a big, fat F..

You are so very brave my friend even if you don't always feel like it.  I'm thinking about you.

OH, thank your populace for the protest march.  Good on ya!

llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

That is just weird!  I didn't do anything.  Psuedo obscenities.

all my love to you,

kiss that wee boy if you can.

It is a good sign that yesterday was a little better, your symptoms are changing a little bit so it will go in a better direction.  I am just so sorry it has taken so long to move along.  You are doing great getting through this, day by day.  Big hugs - WR.

Hi jc and wantrelief

yes i I got to the beach yesterday for some welcome relief from the heat. It wasn’t easy, each time the anxiety got difficult I took myself into the still very cold water, four times in total up to my neck and staying there until the goosebumps got me. It certainly helped, and yesterday was a better day but 4am this morning back to more misery with diarrhoea and nausea back to join the party and anxiety still ruling the roost.

‘’Hugs to you both

:(

you know Scorpio, it's possible the cold water shocked your CNS and upset your gut.

Really sorry to hear this, trying to resolve one symptom only to be hit by others.

Thats a typical WD pattern as we know only too well.

I hope the runs and nausea subsided?

Hi rosetta

thank you so much, it was short lived but so nice to feel just a bit better after these past weeks.

How are are you doing, I’ve just read your post about your dream, strange but comforting that nothing upset you.

Hi jc

you could be right, relief for one thing that then hits another. Typical w/d. I succumbed and took some Imodium this afternoon as

it was getting too drastic. Oh well. Only anxiety etc to contend with again.

Big hugs

Oh Scorpio,

I hear you are having a heatwave there.  Bloody hot here too although we are better equipped to handle such things.  I have a little air conditioner that a friend gave me which is in the kitchen window.  The only place it would fit.  Thankfully, I have a fan which circulates the air.  Tigger quite enjoys it.

Know I think about you constantly.  And send you all my love.  I'm sorry it is such a struggle.  You have certainly battled for such a long time.  I think we met about this time a year ago.

I sent you a p.m. I hope you got it.  Please don't feel obligated to respond.  I just miss you and am concerned.

Hi to Britain and all of yours.

Kiss for the wee babe.

xoxo,

take care

Hi my friend,

Have you been able to get out at all--any more beach visits?  I know there was a heatwave there but haven't heard if it has subsided.  The heat is ramping up here as well.  Hot, hotter and next week hottest.  I know your happy place is with your painted toes facing the water whilst you are lying on a beach but mine, not so much.  I only fry and melt.

How are the symptoms?  I'm assuming since you have been absent that they are assailing you once again.  The demon anxiety and others?

Have you been on 1mg of Cipralex for a year my dear friend.  It is hard to fathom.

I am thinking of you.  And sending you all my love.

take care my friend,

xoxo,

Update

now five weeks of this dreadful wave with more symptoms joining the party.

Bowel cramping, so painful, since the diarrhoea last week, this is now constantly painful.  Even my urine seems to have a will of its own and is coming out in all directions.

‘Anxiety and fatigue constant. Anxiety overwhelming.

Burning head, pins and needles have eased at times then back again.

waking at 4am constantly

tinnitus very loud

loss of appetite still, which is worrying as have not been able to regain the weight I lost when this started

si thoughts

grumbling stomach - not through hunger!

Some evenings get a little lessening of symptoms.

‘Very scared this is the new state of how this is going to be and a window is not coming again.

Hi dear Scorpio,

Was really upset to read your update 😥

Sounds like your CNS is doing a backflip on you.

I hope one of the Mods can suggest something which will help.

Have you tried probiotics for the gut?  Physllium husk is good for constipation along with loads of water.

Thinking of you Ann, and if we can at least help remove some of the symptoms then it will be more bearable for you.

Hugs,

JC

Hi jc

thank you for your kind words especially when you are suffering with some miserable symptoms.

I havent got constipation it’s just awful pain cramping all the time. I could even cope with it if the anxiety would ease enough for me to move on.

Have been unable to do anything really just existing. The fatigue is merciless and to try and do anything makes it worse.

I just hope if this goes big improvements will follow.

Scorpio,

The cramping is IBS and caused by your mental state.

Do you do the hot water bottle thing?  kind of like for period pain?  Have you tried eating foods that relax the gut to reduce the spasms?

If we can reduce a couple of your symptoms (and suffering) that's a start.

There are also supplements that help with energy levels.

It depends what you want to do?

Hi jc

the cramping is not in my gut it’s in the lower part of the bowel, ie bottom. Have been taking probiotics to try and help the gut.

‘It seems as though, as you say, it’s the cns and I’m just trying to let my body rest to hopefully regain some stability. Chamomile tea for the anxiety. Very sensitive to drugs, aids as you know. I don’t want to aggravate anything further.

I understand you don't want to aggravate your symptoms further, but there are some very gentle natural supplements out there.

Probably the best thing would be to get hold of a herbal tincture that does just that - calms the CNS.  That way, the rest of your symptoms would likely subside.

I've been through the ramped up CNS thing too, and herbal tinctures are amazing, they really work.

Understood that you don't want to hear this.

Hi jc

thanks for your help. Will look into the tinctures for cns, the theanine one is no good until I’m off the lexapro as it interacts but will look into it. Any suggestions welcome and I appreciate it.

Anytime Scorpio,

I took L-theanine and lemon balm for months and months whilst still on Lexapro.  No interaction.

Tinctures can help reduce symptoms for multiple "systems" in the body at the same time.  They have a cumulative effect, and can also be bio-adaptive; and so the body will use what it needs.

Keep me posted, I know you're afraid and I understand that.

Start small and work up.

Hugs

Oh my dearest Scorpio - I am so so sorry to read this wave has not let up and these awful symptoms are bombarding you.  I know it doesn't feel like it but this is not the new you....it is just taking way too long for these symptoms to let up but they will - the harshest of waves eventually do stop.  It is just so very hard (hard isn't even the word really) when you have such awful symptoms to contend with day in and day out.  They will go though, my friend....they will.  You are doing what you are supposed to do by just getting through these days until you get to the other side.  You are going to be ok.  Lots and lots of hugs - WR.

Hi Scorpio and Terry,

I see a Naturopath once a month (seeing her tomorrow in fact), who consults out of Neal's Yard near where I live.

A Naturopath will ask you what symptoms you have, and tailor make a tincture to help reduce those symptoms.  There can be several herbs at different strengths in a tincture.

Therefore, there aren't tincture brands as such, these are made up specifically from a number of different herbs to help an individual with whatever symptoms they have.

Hope that helps?

Should have been clearer, the shop is called "Neal's Yard Remedies", and is a national chain in the UK.

Brain doesn't function as well these days.

Hey my friend,

Just thinking of you.

Been wilting here.  It was 109 degrees Fahrenheit which is 42.7 Celsius.  Unheard of temperatures here.  It is going to be Fall like tomorrow at 78 glorious degrees.

I went to the movie, Christopher Robin last week with a gf.  Lovely film!  Anything British always reminds me of you.  I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

How are you doing my friend?  I know you have been suffering so with the evils of withdrawal.  I'm hoping some relief is on the horizon.

Sending some love,

take care,

JS

Update

still having so many bad days.  No easing of these awful symptoms especially the anxiety which is just overwhelming.  Went down with a bug on Friday kindly donated by my grandson again and today is hell again.

Feel as though  it’s just getting worse after hitting one year anniversary of this w/d. In July. Trying very hard to be positive but it’s overwhelming me at the moment.

My brain is constantly in turmoil as to whether  I should keep holding the 1mg of cipralex/lexapro to stave off what could be even worse symptoms or still staying on this dose is just aggravating everything.
