Soup
Tomorrow I will be transitioning over from my once a day Wellbutrin xl to 3 times a day 50 mg compounded immediate release ( it has a filler in it similar to a sr type of release the pharmacist informed me ) To say I am terrified is an understatement but I know in my heart that the Akathasia I experience everyday is coming from the Wellbutrin and the only way to taper off is with the immediate release slowly . Please if you could send prayers or good wishes to the universe for this transition to be not horrific I would greatly appreciate it . wantrelief
Dearest @Soup: I know how frightening it is to make a change whilst feeling symptomatic and how hard it is to know what is going on when it comes to these bleeping drugs. Sometimes all we have is what we feel in our heart and we have to go with that feeling as you are doing. But that doesn't mean it is easy taking that step....it is very courageous of you to make this move. I am sending lots and lots of good wishes to the universe that the transition goes smoothly....I think it will and in time you will find relief and healing. wantrelief
Dearest @Soup: I am so sorry about your mother-in-law. It makes a lot of sense to have held off on switching given everything going on. 5 hours ago, Soup said: I still feel horrific everyday and more and more hopeless of my plight . I am so sorry you are feeling this way. I am sure the stress of everything going on with your family is not helping. i know how hard it is to have hope when things don't change and you feel so miserable. Please hang in there, Soup. I am hopeful you will experience a change for the better; you have experienced healing before and will again. It is just SO hard though in the meantime. You are in my thoughts. LostInCanada
@Soup physically same, crying, can't be alone, burning feet, waking up every 90 minutes though I seem to get one 2-3hr a night, shakes waking me at 3am then I will do deep breathing, sleep for an hour, 90 minutes and have shakes again, dizziness off and on.... Our daughter just told us she and her husband are thinking of moving to Alberta so that has sent me spiralling. I just want stability and it is so elusive. LostInCanada
@Soup I feel for you. It is so scary. Are you taking any supplements? I just hope as we both taper we will see improvement with less drug in our system. From weighing my pills I am seeing a huge range of inconsistencies. Makes me so mad and I am glad I didn't just make liquid or I would not have known. I called and emailed Apotex to get the pill weight and of course they wouldn't tell me, they would only tell a doctor or pharmacist. My pharmacist called and got the info so now I can be more accurate. wantrelief
Hi @Soup: Thank you for your message on my thread. It was kind of you to think of me and your note made me feel less alone in all of this. I wanted you to know I am thinking of you. 💖 1 -1/06 - 3/07 Cymbalta. Fast taper (essentially CT); withdrawal symptoms after 4 mos (didn't realize was WD) -10/07: 100 mg Zoloft; 1 mg Klonopin - tapered off Klonopin after 4 mos. Several unsuccessful slow tapers of Zoloft; went up and down in dose a lot -Spring 2013 back on 1 mg Klonopin to counter WD symptoms; switched over 5-6 mos from Zoloft to 35 mg citalopram -Two attempts at slow tapering citalopram, always increased dose due to WD; also increased Klonopin to 1.25 mg in 2014, then to 1.5 mg in 2015 -8/17-9/17: After holding one year at 20 mg, feeling withdrawal symptoms due to stress - slowly increased to 25 mg.
