street129
Good Monday morning @Frogie 9/7/20 I started my new taper at 410 in weight last night. During the night I was experiencing my body jolting where I was constantly waking, I got up at 7am this morning cause my sleep was repeatedly being interrupted, and I'm still sleepy.OFF TOPIC. I was having difficulty focusing last week there was like a cloud over my eyes where I was having a hard time seeing people in their full form, I was only seeing imagines. I Had did my blood work during this period and was told in an email by my Dr that my cholesterol was very, very, very high, I had went to urgent Care but they couldn't find anything and was told to go to the ER. at first I did go but because it was getting real late and I didn't want to be leaving there at night I didn't bother staying and I came home and took my cholesterol pill, so far my eyesight came back a little bit where is not as bad but it's still not fully back. I was also having difficulty seeing my laptop the words was very fine and I had to increase the number to +125 to be able to see. I'm still increasing the number to +125 as I'm not fully back or focusing steady. I wasn't taking my cholesterol pill on a regular basis maybe once in awhile very very few times. I'm taking them regularly now and like I said my vision is a little better but it needs to improve much more. Have a wonderful labor day. Other than some body movement (which I also get a lot during the night), it sounds like you are sleeping relativity well. It will get better as you go along. Your body just has to get used to the fact that it doesn't have the full amount of trazodone in it's system. 22 minutes ago, street129 said: I Had did my blood work during this period and was told in an email by my Dr. that my cholesterol was very, very, very high, I had went to urgent Care but they couldn't find anything and was told to go to the ER. Have you had high cholesterol long? 27 minutes ago, street129 said: I'm taking them regularly now and like I said my vision is a little better but it needs to improve more. Hopefully with the medication you will be able to keep it under control. Just be careful with the side effects, as any medication can have them. The Mayo Clinic listed these: "While statins are highly effective and safe for most people, they have been linked to muscle pain, digestive problems and mental fuzziness in some people." That could explain some of the symptoms you have been having. Take care, Frogie xx PREVIOUS medications and discontinuations: Have been on medications since 1996. street129
@brassmonkey I have hit a bump in the road, I've been doing pretty good from June 2020 till early September 2020, I'm now feeling WD at the end of September. Warm heat in my left leg like in 2017, Shaking spell, weakness, and a mild nauseous. WOW. As I started out I had a bump at 10% you instructed me to hold, I did, everything was going ok, now on 9/27/20 today I hit another bump. I'm willing to hold at 410, I have weeks to go on it. Can you gave your thoughts. to do 5% do I go forward or do I do 5% on the month before. With corona, one has to worry and hope they don't get it. Wow what a year. I'm grateful for you guys, Frogie is doing wonderful. street129
@brassmonkey @Frogie I think my best option once i get stable is to do the 5% going forward. Im at 410 and its almost a month with 2 weeks to go, im comfortable with doing 5%. I know I might get WD at 5% also, but my better judgement is saying 5%. From experience I come to realization 10% is to much for me This is the 2nd WD on 10%. Im not well at all right now, I have no choice but to stay calm and tell myself this will pass. As horrible as I'm feeling right now, I'm going to drag myself to urgent care to rule out corona. Moderator Frogie Posted September 27, 2020 Moderator Share Posted September 27, 2020 I think you would be wise to hold on the .410 until your symptoms are lessened. Then we can do 5% moving forward. Moderator brassmonkey Posted September 27, 2020 Moderator Share Posted September 27, 2020 You seem to be doing so well I wouldn't rush things. Going down to 5% would be fine. There are going to be some bumps along the way, but we want to keep them as small as possible. Let us know how the corona thing checks out, hope you're okay. 20 years on Paxil starting at 20mg and working up to 40mg. Sept 2011 started 10% every 6 weeks taper (2.5% every week for 4 weeks then hold for 2 additional weeks), currently at 7.9mg. Oct 2011 CTed 15oz vodka a night, to only drinking 2 beers most nights, totally sober Feb 2013. Since I wrote this I have continued to decrease my dose by 10% every 6 weeks (2.5% every week for 4 weeks and then hold for an additional 2 weeks). I added in an extra 6 week hold when I hit 10mg to let things settle out even more. When I hit 3mgpw it became hard to split the drop into 4 parts so I switched to dropping 1mgpw (pill weight) every week for 3 weeks and then holding for another 3 weeks. The 3 + 3 schedule turned out to be too harsh so I cut back to dropping 1mgpw every 4 weeks which is working better. Final Dose 0.016mg. street129
@brassmonkey Thank-you I appreciate the feedbacks, I have to wait on my corona result 4-5 days, I did the test in the past with negative results. I read frogie is in a funk right now, I think it's best I don't rock the boat, below is your baseline that you did for me last year 2019 at 5%, right now I'm still holding at 410 because I'm still not good, I will be holding until I feel some what better than I do now, I'm not gonna complaint, but stay positive and cool. please can you please gave me some more reduction of my pill going forward for the number for round 9, 10, 11, 12, or any amount that you would like to gave me so I can have enough to hold me over for a while. Thank you in advance. See below My covid was not detected, I also have hip issues I had a cat scan, it shows I have a tear,I was given a steroid injection, WOW, it send me wobbling, cause I'm having WD, I had this injection and had no issue in the past. I was told I can leave it and heal on its own, I was told physical therapy, I was told they could take blood from my vein and put into my hip to heal it, or I can have surgery. I'm in NYC the weather is changing once it gets cold, I will do physical therapy, I was doing it in the summer I stop it was to much and it was to hot. street129
@brassmonkey IT helps cause at 5% I now see is the best way to proceed, it should have been the choice I should have choose once I began, but I told myself I wanted to hurry this up and finish QUICK! but as I'm experiencing more frequent WD at every new taper it's not smart continuing at 10% and this second taper WD at .410 is lasting longer than the last month on taper which was .458 added to this taper at 410 the steroid injection in my right hip that I have a tear that wobby me out the door is longer WD Quick question in a week and couple days giving account also with the shot I received making my WD to now prolong longer, from your expertise, is it wise to go back to my last taper at .458 to see if my WD would quiet down and hold there or is it best to continue holding at .410 until it settle, A little update on my situation with my WD, as of today 10/1/20 my WD has increase I believe that steroid shoot up set my cart, made my WD worst. street129
@Frogie HI FROGIE, it's Sunday 10/4/ in the wee hours in the morning, and I'm not feeling bad, i just have this hot feeling in my left leg and it's unbearable that has gotten worst and is starting to affect me from sleeping, and I'm beginning to feel it in my back. I need assistance with this, my WD started the 3Rd week of my taper at 410, and by this 4th week the burning is the only thing that's a problem. I need to discuss this with brassmonkey I found this on the forum, I think I need to do this. WOW. Only if I feel this burning tomorrow If you are suffering from significant withdrawal symptoms, the official advice included in most antidepressant drug package inserts is to to reinstate a partial dose of the medication and taper more slowly. If you are in the midst of tapering and you get withdrawal symptoms that last more than a couple of days, you're reducing too fast. (NEVER alternate doses to taper.) Increase your dosage a bit, wait until symptoms pass, and then reduce in smaller amounts at a slower rate. Some people can reduce by only a fraction of a milligram per month. Moderator brassmonkey Posted October 4, 2020 Moderator Share Posted October 4, 2020 If at all possible I would give it a few days to see if it settles out. There are going to be intense symptoms that come and go from time to time, it's all part of the healing process. Doing an updose is no guarantee that the symptoms will go away, so we don't want to do it every time things get rough. If the symptoms really are making it so you can't doing anything then a slight updose might help but it could take several days to tell. I wouldn't go all the way back to .458 maybe try .435. 20 years on Paxil starting at 20mg and working up to 40mg. street129
@brassmonkey Hi per our last discussion on my WD there was a day it felt like I was coming out but in that same day the WD was there it did not go away like i thought it was doing, it was there Tonight 10/10/20 my WD has increase to where I'm shaking, nauseous, and the warm heat im still experiencing and a mild headache. I can deal with the shaking and the nauseousness not so much with the heat in my leg and back. I want to hold but also it's a lot to bare and the .435 is gonna gave me a new 5% going forward and I will then need new rounds. Hopefully @Frogie can still assist if she's well enough to. I wanna hold but I also want to do the .435 since my WD has increase. I will also see how I feel tomorrow. 10/11/20 Your thoughts JOINED THIS BOARD AUGUST 27, 2017 250mg trazodone 250mg Aug 21, 2017 tapering before I found SA 200mg - Aug 21, 2017 to Aug 25, 2017 tapering before found SA 225mg - Aug 26, 2017 updose holding November 26, 2017.
