Happy September  my taper is going ok,  I have notice how my sleeping medication, trazodone DONOT put me to sleep at all, I can lay there after taking it and I would not fall out, its after I reach for the  1mg  melatonin, I can sleep.

It s interesting how I don't fall asleep with my sleeping pill, hope you will get back to your full 8 hours of sleep once youre fully and completely done,

within due time keep us in the know.

I will be starting my new dose this SUNDAY 9/6/2020 at 410,  I also remember to aleft you to help me in update my signature. Thanks for your assistance.

You won’t lose me through this. I’m not going anywhere.   Just weigh out the 10 pills at 0.507. Write down on a calendar that you started your taper today so we can keep track of it.

I'm glad it helped. Keep practicing and it will get easier.

It sounds like you are doing really well. I’m so happy for you!   My symptoms will go away and I will heal. Just have to wait it out, but I’m ok.    I’m so glad I can help you. I d

Good Monday morning @Frogie

9/7/20

I started my new taper at 410 in weight last night.

During the night I was experiencing my body jolting where I was constantly waking,

I got up at 7am this morning cause my sleep was repeatedly being interrupted, and I'm still sleepy.

OFF TOPIC.  I was having  difficulty  focusing last week there was like a cloud over my eyes where I was having a hard time seeing people in their full form, I was only seeing imagines.  I Had did my blood work during this period and was told in an email by my Dr that my  cholesterol was very, very, very high,

I had went to urgent Care but they couldn't find anything and was told to go to the ER. at first I did go but because it was getting real late and I didn't want to be leaving there at night I didn't bother staying and I came home and took my cholesterol pill, so far my eyesight came back a little bit where is not as bad but it's still not fully back.

I was also  having difficulty seeing my laptop the words was very fine and I had to increase the number to  +125 to be able to see.  I'm still increasing the number to +125 as I'm not fully back or focusing steady.

I  wasn't taking  my cholesterol pill on a regular basis maybe once in awhile very very few times.

I'm taking them regularly now and like I said my vision is a little better but it needs to improve  much more.

          Have a wonderful labor day.

Other than some body movement (which I also get a lot during the night), it sounds like you are sleeping relativity well. It will get better as you go along. Your body just has to get used to the fact that it doesn't have the full amount of trazodone in it's system.

Hopefully with the medication you will be able to keep it under control. Just be careful with the side effects, as any medication can have them. The Mayo Clinic listed these: "While statins are highly effective and safe for most people, they have been linked to muscle pain, digestive problems and mental fuzziness in some people." That could explain some of the symptoms you have been having.

Take care,

HI @Frogie

I will do my signature, WOW today 9/9/20 is not a good day, I woke up shaking some what and having mediocre energy,

I don't know if it's from my high blood pressure pill,  which I just started taking daily again, [ which I hate tremendously] but I will stop taking it for a while to look for a sign of getting and feeling better.

I have an appt today with orthopedic doctor to figure out why my hip on my right side is hurting me.

Be well

thanks for all you do

I'm sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well.

Maybe you should have the dr look at your blood pressure and meds. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about that.

Shaking seems to be a normal wd symptom though.

Hi @Frogie

9/15/20

Im doing ok, on my second new taper and still can't believe I'm on this journey, how are you at your end, I know  you're happy
Let's go for a drink, lol

I'm still having hip problem my 2ND Dr said like the first dr, that I have inflammation in the hip.   I tried physical therapy, im still icing my hip daily, but to no avail,  Im going to my 3rd orthopedic Dr tomorrow 9/16/20 for his take and opinion.
I'm glad I'm tapering and dealing with any hiccup as I go along on this, right now so far I'm surprise there's not much setback or illness my whole fear, I'm going along ok.

Thanks for checking on me, I appreciate you so much, your constant care is admirable.

Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear about your hip. I thought that had resolved as you hadn’t mentioned it lately. I hope you can get some relief somehow. I have a hip that has a nerve problem. It’s been going on 30 years now. Boy, I am old...

You are doing really well with your taper. You’re being very mindful and seem to be handling it in the worst of circumstances. I’m very proud of you!

I will be done Friday with my taper. I’m sure I will have symptoms but I know they will eventually get less and less.

Glad you are doing well despite all the obstacles.

Hi frogie I'm doing ok, for the pass 2 days I'm I've been getting sleepy in the afternoon and can't stay awake, this happen in the pass so this is not new.

I did had one of my MRI on my right hip now I'm waiting to see my Dr for the result on the 30th of September.

Are you feeling any after effect now that you're done, and are you sleeping with a decent amount of hours, I guess everything will fall inline in due time.

I'm a black woman and I don't see color cause I love you SOOOOO much. You are naturally a blessing in my progress and in my live  I was drawn to you from back in 2017.and felt you as comfort and always wanted your presence.  Thank-you.

WOW!  I have hit a road bump, for the past few days I've been experiencing warm on my left side of my leg like I did in the pass,

I'm now having shaking, weakness, and a little a nauseous. I'm willing to stay at 410 until.

I'm not able to do much, I don't know if 5% would be best for me going forward. I'm saying calm,

Can you ask brassmonkey his thought on the matter.

Thanks frogie.

I'm now feeling WD  at the end of September. Warm heat in my left leg like in 2017,  Shaking spell, weakness, and a mild nauseous.  WOW.

As I started out I had a bump at 10% you instructed me to hold, I did, everything was going ok, now on 9/27/20 today  I hit another bump.

I'm willing to hold at 410, I have weeks to go on it.

Can you gave  your thoughts.

to do 5% do I go forward or do I do 5% on the month before.

With corona, one has to worry and hope they don't get it. Wow what a year.

I'm grateful for you guys,  Frogie is doing  wonderful.

I think my best option once i get stable is to do the 5% going forward.

Im at 410 and its almost a month with 2 weeks to go,

im comfortable with doing 5%.   I know I might get WD at 5% also, but my better judgement is saying 5%. From experience I come to realization 10% is to much for me

This is the 2nd WD on 10%.

Im not well at all right now, I have no choice but to stay calm and tell myself this will pass.

As horrible as I'm feeling right now, I'm going to drag myself to urgent care to rule out corona.

Thanks for listening,
any thoughts

I think you would be wise to hold on the .410 until your symptoms are lessened.

Then we can do 5% moving forward. Nice and steady wins the race😊

I hope you feel better soon.

Keep me posted please.

Take care,

You seem to be doing so well I wouldn't rush things. Going down to 5% would be fine. There are going to be some bumps along the way, but we want to keep them as small as possible.

Let us know how the corona thing checks out, hope you're okay.

20 years on Paxil starting at 20mg and working up to 40mg. Sept 2011 started 10% every 6 weeks taper (2.5% every week for 4 weeks then hold for 2 additional weeks), currently at 7.9mg. Oct 2011 CTed 15oz vodka a night, to only drinking 2 beers most nights, totally sober Feb 2013.

Since I wrote this I have continued to decrease my dose by 10% every 6 weeks (2.5% every week for 4 weeks and then hold for an additional 2 weeks). I added in an extra 6 week hold when I hit 10mg to let things settle out even more. When I hit 3mgpw it became hard to split the drop into 4 parts so I switched to dropping 1mgpw (pill weight) every week for 3 weeks and then holding for another 3 weeks.  The 3 + 3 schedule turned out to be too harsh so I cut back to dropping 1mgpw every 4 weeks which is working better.

Thank-you I appreciate the feedbacks,

I have to wait on my corona result 4-5 days, I did the test in the past with negative results.

I was given a prescription for nauseous

In the beginning of corona if you go urgent care for an illness it was automatic to get a test done.
Yes I agree very small.

Be well

Hi Sir Salutation,  I hope you are doing fine.

I read frogie is in a funk right now, I think it's best I don't rock the boat, below is your baseline that you did for me last year 2019 at 5%, right now I'm still holding at 410 because I'm still not good,  I will be holding until I feel some what better than I do now, I'm not gonna complaint, but stay positive and cool. please can you please gave me some more reduction of my pill going forward  for the number for round 9, 10, 11, 12, or any amount that you would like to gave me so I can have enough to hold me over for a while. Thank you in advance.  See below

My covid was not detected, I also have hip issues I had a cat scan, it shows I have a tear,I was given a steroid injection, WOW, it send me wobbling, cause I'm having WD, I had this injection and had no issue in the past. I was told I can leave it and heal on its own, I was told physical therapy, I was told they could take blood from my vein and put into my hip to heal it, or I can have surgery.  I'm in NYC the weather is changing once it gets cold, I will do physical therapy, I was doing it in the summer I stop it was to much and it was to hot.

SEE BELOW

The  baseline rounds that you send to me in 2019.
im holding at 410   I need  this 5%.   thank you again.
Have a good week, and a great weekend.

Here are the numbers for your seventh and eighth rounds

For your seventh round of reductions it would go like this:

Week one: 420 X  .9875 = 415

*Week two: 420 X .975 = 410*

Week three: 420 X .962 = 404

Weeks four thru six 420 X .95 = 399

For your eight round of reductions it would go like this:

Week one: 399 X .9875 = 394

Week two 399 X .975 = 389

Week three 399 X .962 = 384

Weeks four thru six 399 X .95 = 379

Hi Street-- I'm sorry to hear about your hip. I have some wicked arthritis in mine that flairs up now and then, hate it. Hopefully yours will heal nicely.

Here are the calculations you asked for:

For your ninth round of reductions it would go like this:

Week one: 379 X .9875 = 374

Week two 379 X .975 = 370

Week three 379 X .962 = 365

Weeks four thru six 379 X .95 = 360

For your tenth round of reductions it would go like this:

Week one: 360 X .9875 = 356

Week two 360 X .975 = 351

Week three 360 X .962 = 346

Weeks four thru six 360 X .95 = 342

For your eleventh round of reductions it would go like this:

Week one: 342 X .9875 = 338

Week two 342 X .975 = 334

Week three 342 X .962 = 329

Weeks four thru six 342 X .95 = 325

For your twelfth round of reductions it would go like this:

Week one: 325 X .9875 = 321

Week two 325 X .975 = 317

Week three 325 X .962 = 313

Weeks four thru six 325 X .95 = 309

I hope that helps.

IT helps cause at 5% I now see is the best way to proceed, it should have been the choice I should have choose once I began, but I told myself I wanted to hurry this up and finish QUICK!  but as I'm experiencing more frequent WD at every new taper it's not smart continuing at 10% and this second taper WD at .410 is lasting longer than the last month on taper which was .458

added to this taper at 410 the steroid injection in my right hip that I have a tear that wobby me out the door is longer WD

Quick question in a week and couple days giving account also with the shot I received making my WD to now prolong longer, from your expertise, is it wise to go back to my last taper at .458 to see if my WD would quiet down  and hold there or is it best to continue holding at .410 until it settle, A little update on my situation with my WD, as of today 10/1/20 my WD has increase I believe that steroid shoot up set my cart,  made my WD worst. So as I say this to you. What do you say sir.

I appreciate you.  Your imput is very, very important to me. Thank you.

SEE BELOW
Going back to .458 this would be this round

Here are the numbers for your fifth and sixth rounds

For your fifth round of reductions it would go like this:

*Week one: 465 X  .9875 = 459*

Week two: 465 X .975 = 453

Week three: 465 X .962 = 447

Weeks four thru six 465 X .95 = 442

I think that just holding where you are is going to be best. Too many changes will just confuse your body and make things take longer.

HI FROGIE, it's Sunday 10/4/ in the wee hours in the morning, and  I'm not feeling bad, i just have this hot feeling  in my left leg and it's unbearable that has gotten worst and is starting to affect me from sleeping, and I'm beginning to feel it in my back.

I need assistance with this,  my WD started the 3Rd week of  my taper at 410, and by this 4th week the burning is the only thing that's a problem.   I need to discuss this with brassmonkey

I found this on the forum,  I think I need to do this.  WOW.  Only if I feel this burning tomorrow

If you are suffering from significant withdrawal symptoms, the official advice included in most antidepressant drug package inserts is to to reinstate a partial dose of the medication and taper more slowly.

If you are in the midst of tapering and you get withdrawal symptoms that last more than a couple of days, you're reducing too fast. (NEVER alternate doses to taper.) Increase your dosage a bit, wait until symptoms pass, and then reduce in smaller amounts at a slower rate. Some people can reduce by only a fraction of a milligram per month.

If at all possible I would give it a few days to see if it settles out. There are going to be intense symptoms that come and go from time to time, it's all part of the healing process. Doing an updose is no guarantee that the symptoms will go away, so we don't want to do it every time things get rough. If the symptoms really are making it so you can't doing anything then a slight updose might help but it could take several days to tell. I wouldn't go all the way back to .458 maybe try .435.

@brassmonkey

Hi  per our last discussion on my WD there was a day it felt like I was coming out but in that same day  the WD was there it did not go away like i thought it was doing,  it was there

Tonight 10/10/20 my WD has increase to where I'm shaking, nauseous, and the warm heat im still experiencing and a mild headache.  I can deal with the shaking and the nauseousness not so much with the heat in my leg and back.

I want to hold but also it's a lot  to bare and the .435 is gonna gave me a new 5% going forward and I will then need new rounds.

Hopefully @Frogie can still assist if she's well enough to.

I wanna hold but I also want to do the .435 since my WD has increase. I will also see how I feel tomorrow. 10/11/20

Your thoughts
