sitting waiting for 1am

This doesn't make any sense. You want to train your natural sleep cycle to start earlier than 1 a.m.

You might even move the mirtazapine back to 10 p.m. and get into a much more natural rhythm. You may wake at 5 a.m. for a while. Your sleep cycle will normalize after a while.

Darkening your bedroom with blackout shades and blinds and using a sleep mask may assist you in sleeping past 5 a.m.

I believe that's all I can suggest about making your sleep better, the rest is up to you.

i also wants to do a detox, is there a link on detoxing i tried looking but i cant find any thread on this site...

theres a site in california that sells mr sebi products, the  site is sebi.com if you want to check it out.

someone on here told me to used vicks and i am putting it on my chest and other places on my body like around my nose,  i am bringing up mucus nonstop that i didnt even know was in my system,  that is why i wanted to get the detox products from the site. its herbal and its quite pricey.  i dont know if it will have a bad affect on my trazadone... i will call the company in california later today, i know they are 3 hours behind new york time and i will get info. on anything dealing with mucus also.

Hello Street,

I too am on trazodone, and have tapered in the past.  Earlier this year I had reduced from 62 mg to 51 and it took me 2.5 months to stabilize.  But I did stabilize.  Just keep holding until you do, it will happen.  You may want to reduce by a smaller percentage next time, perhaps 5%? That way you are gentler on your body.

All the best.

PAST

Gabapentin:  about 6 months in 2015, 300-900 mg, cold turkeyed Sept 2015 (at same time dc'd Klonopin)

Klonopin: June 2014- Sept 2015; 1mg tapered over 6 mths, dc'd at 0.25mg, withdrawal hellish (perhaps because of concurrent dc of gabapentin)

Mirtazepine: Jumped off at 2.4 mg. (stable in 8 months).

Seroquel:  June 14 - July 24, 2016, 25 mg alternate nights; smaller doses for shorter periods. Total use about 3 months

Lamictal: March 19, 2018 - 1 mg; March 23 - 1.25 mg; April 6 - 2mg. Discontinued at 2 mgJuly 1, 2018 due to Steven Johnson Syndrome.

CURRENT

Supplements: Vit D, turmeric

Naturethroid: 65 mcg for hypothyroidism

Trazodone: Oct 2015 - June 2016; 75 mg tapered over 2 mths, intense w/d after 3 weeks. Reinstatement: 07/25/16 - 25 mg; updosed 08/03/16 - 50 mg;  10/01/16-  62mg; 03/24/17 dropped to 50 mg (stable in 2.5 months)

Current psych meds: Trazodone 50 mg

I am pausing my trazodone for a while.  I am currently trying to stabilize after dropping mirtzepine, and will tackle seroquel next.  Trazodone will be my last taper - I expect it may be another year or so before I can start it.  In any case, I plan to reduce by 5% when it is time.  All the best to you.

Hi Street. In my opinion - yes, it is a waste of time and money and that's the universal opinion as far as I know.

How are you?

Many SSRI's and SSNRI's over 20 years. Zoloft for 7 years followed by Effexor, Lexapro, Prozac, Cymbalta, Celexa, Pristiq, Valdoxan, Mianserin and more - on and off. No tapering. Cold turkey off Valdoxan - end of May 2014

oh wow, and i asked my sister and daughter for a little finance to help me pay for this... can i find a link on here about people talking about it.. ..  i should have address it first here before i had gone to him.  the funny thing about the meeting was the man was talking about himself the whole time.

i have my first appt on nov 3rd. any link/info that you can gave me will help me to cancel my appointment immediately.... thanks for answering, i still have heat sensation in my skin. i have accepted that this is all about patience and going slow.. im longing for the day i can feel as myself. im hanging in there .. thanks for asking and i hope you are seeing and doing good.

i now take my trazodone at 12am . im monitoring my heat sensation, i also want to reduced my dose once i stabalize to 5% instead of 10%

WHOAAAAA!!

Not sure sure if I'm fully on board with AliG on this one.  Here is our thread on neurofeedback:

I've read some anecdotal stories of people who have used it to help them with their anxiety in withdrawal.  I'm not sure the jury is out on this one.

Do some research, Street.  Google "neurofeedback" and "psychiatric medication withdrawal" and see what you find.

Best,

Andy

Sertraline 50mg and Clonazapam .375mg from 2000 -- symptoms of dizziness Spring 2012

increased to .5 Clonazapam and 100mg Sertraline -- no improvement

Benzo microtaper from November 2012 to November 2014 (followed benzo sites "taper benzo first")

Started Sertraline taper in December 2014 cut by 25mg to 75mg; 62.5mg 1/1/15 and 50mg on 2/1/15

Held at 50mg through April 5 to use liquid
Reduced dosage in 10% or less drops from 50mg to 25mg -- at single tablet of 25mg on 10/5/15

Transitioned to all liquid for accuracy while tapering -- Horrible insomnia -- back to 25mg liquid and held until October 1, 2016

10/16 -- 11/18 tapered very slowly to 10.6mg.  No real improvement and never really stable so updosed to 12.5mg (1/2 a pill) for convenience and long hold.

After 8+ months of holding with no noticeable improvement decided to add .4ml of liquid Prozac (about 1.5mg) to see if that improves the situation

Supplements, Magnesium, D3, Omega 3, curcumin, Valerian, 81mg Aspirin, L-Theanine, Vit. C,

LOL.  There is no "right or wrong" here, Ali.  I think it can help some people but it's an investment of time and money that may not have any return.  I'm not aware of people reporting negative outcomes, however, which gives me a little more comfort.  I do know that GiaK on Beyond Meds spoke favorably about it as having helped her.

It's a tough call, Street.  Do your research and then decide for yourself.

I read you should be stable before doing neurofeedback, I am not stable, so I will cancel my nov 3rd appt. .....OMG!....the consultation was not cheap...next time with anything I will report here first before making any decisions. I’m sorry you are still struggling if it’s any consolation I’m back to horrible time again too.

2006 After sudden death of mother put on 20mg of citaloprom for depression.

2014 Drug stopped working after two weeks of panic attacks felt fine.

Aug 2014. Doctor put me on lyrica for rash on face, diarrhoea, sleeplessness, muscle cramp, bruising. Initial dose too strong, halved dose.  Stopped taking it 22/10/14

2014 severe anxiety after several ssri's attempted, seem to have developed severe  sensitivity to any drug, but giving severe  reactions put on cipralex drop form.started on 2 drops and had to increase by 1 drop every 3 days. Eventually got to 12 drops and had to stop as side effects every step of the way dreadful. Psychiatrist kept telling me to stick with it and my body would get used to it.  Eventually down to 8 drops. Bad reactions throughout the time I was on it

Have been on this until may 2017. Stopped over two weeks. Felt fine for 5 weeks after initial dizziness, nightmares, nausea, insomnia.

Given diazepam by gp and told to take them when anxiety bad. Have only taken them very rarely as they frighten me.

Last two weeks severe anxiety returned and feeling hopeless

11July 2017. Cipralex 2mg. Anxiety, nausea still severe

13 July 2017 Cipralex 1mg due to advice of too high dosage  by kind person on thus site. so dropped from 2mg to 1mg and feelings of anxiety still at severe. As well as nausea, headaches, fatigue.

15 July still feeling extremely anxious verging on panic. Nausea, feelings of fainting, fatigue. Lots of head pains

3 August. Three weeks into trying to stabilise on one drop of cipralex. Still have waking from 4am. Sporadic upset stomach. Nausea.  High anxiety.  Throbbing/burning in nether regions seems to have eased for time being but stabbing/burning in calves of legs. Tinnitus. Occasional half to whole better days but mainly still struggling. Fatigue

I hope the chronic dr can help you. I have heard of it but don’t know much about it. I can’t take any supplements without getting reactions so I steer clear of all of it.

Fatigue

theres a site in california that sells mr sebi products, the  site is sebi.com if you want to check it out.

someone on here told me to used vicks and i am putting it on my chest and other places on my body like around my nose,  i am bringing up mucus nonstop that i didnt even know was in my system,  that is why i wanted to get the detox products from the site. its herbal and its quite pricey

Detox is recommended only when you are healthy enough to stand it.  With your symptoms, it would be best to wait until you are off of the drugs.and away from withdrawal.

Most people who try a detox protocol while in withdrawal regret it:

The extra mucous is your body trying to balance itself.  Trazadone does hit histamine receptors, and as your dose goes lower, that antihistamine action will drop out.  This looks like horrible allergies or toxic reactions - but really - it's just the trazadone.

Neurofeedback can be awesome.  It is important to get a good practitioner - there are a lot of cowboys in the field.

BUT - none of these practitioners understand withdrawal and psych drugs, and the interactions between their work and the effects of the drugs.  And none of these practitioners are smart enough to say, "I don't know how this will affect withdrawal," and are more likely to say, "Give me your money, let's try it!"

At this time in your life, I believe it is a waste of money.

At another time in your life, it might be amazing and helpful to be able to control your brain waves and patterns with neurofeedback.  But not while you are struggling with symptoms.

Did your chronic fatigue start before you started trazadone or other drugs?

The thing is, these drugs' symptoms often look a lot like CFS, Fibro, Myoencephalitis, etc.  And, in fact, long term use of these drugs can induce conditions very similar to these catch all "diagnosis."

Holding is hard work, holding is a blessing. Give your brain time to heal before you try again.

My suggestions are not medical advice, you are in charge of your own medical choices.

I struggle with CFS (well, doctors would call it that - but it's a complex condition that doctors don't really understand, or have much compassion for).

I am mostly helped by mental and emotional techniques.   There are supplements, and I take them - with all supplements realize that there are no quick fixes, just tiny adjustments.

thank you so much jancarol,..your insight is remarkable, I had chronic fatigue before I was on any drug, its after my chronic fatigue I developed insomnia then been taking aides for sleep....I have chronic fatigue since 1995, got 85% better over the many years where I can live a good life, then 2 months ago I fell ill, and right after was when I got off my sleep meds for a day, it both hit all at once, I want to believe its chronic fatigue, I have now also develope this cough, I don't know where it came from but when I inhale im having coughing attacks with mucos that its draining me,  its been like this for the pass 2 weeks that I don't know what to do so I ended up in the emergency room, Dr said he heard tweezing in my lung, so far they gave me an oral inhaler to breath into, that made my coughing attacks worst....

I will not do a detox thanks for the links...I cancel my neurofeedback this morning, I have now thrown away money on my consultant, I will check here first from now on before I make any decisions going forward. Thank you sooooooo much ms jancarol. Diamond in a ruff.

I have done some research on trazodone on other sites and a lot of people that are taking it are having symtom  like what I have, I am experiencing burred vision, nasal congestion still heat in the body and im still @225mg. One of the people on the site said that after these symtom came they discontinue trazodone and all of the  symptom went away ..they were on then for only a month.  Im ready to go to my next taper 202.5mg, but im also scared. I've been t 225mg since late august and I really don't know how I feel.not as bad but not as good either, I want to go one more at 225mg, but im confuse. Im ranting and hope someone will jump in...

hope i didnt put this in the wrong place.....
