Alice1
Hey Miguel , I also vape and I too get suicidal depressed when I make a nic cut .. Nicotine WD symptoms alone are things like depression and agitation .. I got to 1 mg of nic and then started to reduce the actual vaping itself .. I used to vape constantly all day but now I vape here and there .. I don't know if vaping is doing any harm , but I do know that worrying about vaping is doing the most harm .. If that makes sense .. Vaping is safer then cigs I started occasionally vaping now and I am feeling better I have noticed that my CNS was a bit destabilized but its slowing stabilizing a question for you Altostrata I have been having like dizziness and fatigue that feels like a sudden drop in blood pressure for like 4 months and I have starting to notice that my bp is not changing that much when it happens and my heart rate is going up before meds I normally had like 65 to 75 bpm resting then on meds it lower to 50 -60 range and now it's going back to 65 -75 sometimes even 80 I workout so don't know if its related to the Lexapro those feelings of dizziness and fatigue and sleepiness that come from nowhere and last for like 25 m and go away do I tell this to my GP so she can run some examples or is it related to withdrawals she might try to change the meds but ofc I will refuse it don't wanna take the risk and it backfiring on me. Moderator Emeritus Skeeter Posted April 21, 2018 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted April 21, 2018 Miguel, I had a heck of a time on generic Lexapro in regards to stomach and GI issues. I had to switch to Lexapro (brand name), because they put a coating on the generic version that made me sick for months. I had stomach pain, and bloating, and spasms in my intestines. The instant I switched to Lexapro brand name tablets, it was HEAVEN. I will let you know if the liquid Lexapro DOES hav the same ingredient that they put in the generic Lexapro. My guess is no, because they use it in the coating. Your stomach issues sound very familiar to mine. It was hell! I also see you note feeling down and suicidal after working out. Please try to decrease the intensity of your workout. We have had "gym rats" (people who work out all the time) have to stop during withdrawal. I know you went to the gym because of rage issues, but please try to tone down your workouts. Exercise intolerance is what it is called. No heavy lifting of weights, maybe try lighter weights for more reps, if that does not change things, you might try taking an exercise vacation. it is up to you. I am not sure how long you feel awful after working out. You need to decide if wearing your body out while your body is working to deal with the effects of withdrawal is worth it. Current meds: Lexapro 20mg, Valium 6.25mg Current status: September 2018 forced to go down to 10mg of Valium/Diazepam from around 15mg, with the plan to have me totally of in 2 more months. I was not given a chance to give input at tapering at this speed, please go much, much slower. Luckily I found a new doctor, but was thrown off course by my rapid taper, as of 2/19 am down to 6.25mg, and am stable. Will update with dates of taper ASAP. Read my history here: http://survivingantidepressants.org/index.php?/topic/12819-skeeters-journey/ I am NOT a doctor. My opinions are just that- MY opinions, based on my personal experiences and research, but your experience and reactions may differ greatly, we are all different! I maintain that a doctor educated in withdrawal is the best place to get info or to get the "go ahead" before changing your medications in any way! Link to comment
Moderator Emeritus Skeeter Posted April 21, 2018 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted April 21, 2018 Post 2: Cipralex does not appear to have the offending ingredient that many people have GI issues with. Make sure you take it with food for sure,a full meal is best. If you are taking that now, I am truly sorry you are still having stomach issues. I was not able to read your entire thread, I apologize for that. Your heart rate before your dose is not worrisome to me. the normal heart rate is between 60-100 beats a minute. 60-80 is the norm, but even a bit over that is nothing to worry about unless you are having chest pains or problems breathing, which I would not expect in anyone your age at all. Be well! Moderator Emeritus Skeeter Posted April 21, 2018 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted April 21, 2018 Miguel, Now do not change too many things at once. Great job on the vaping. Now quitting coffee can have side effects of headaches, and some other minor things. Now that your GI issues are so spread out, it is up to you if you wish to change to the liquid. I do not want to put a strain on your mother. It could be the decreased dose that calmed your gut, or changing to a homemade liquid, my have helped. I know what it is like when money is a problem, so think carefully before you decide. You may find that quitting coffee may be the last thing you geed to do. it is very acidic. Between that and the lower dose, you may be fine on your homemade liquid. Please hear me on this. Now I did not mean high reps, as in wear yourself out, because you will feel the same crappy way you do now after a workout. Try slowing down a bit, take extra breaks, no maxxing out, okay? If this does not work, next is an exercise vacation if this does not work. I do not know if the tradeoff is worth it for you- see if you feel better by lightening things up a bit, first, is my opinion. It is normal to worry about our health when you are having issues. But if it is on your mind all of the time, then it becomes its own monster, and you do not need that. I hope you are still meditating, and working on relaxation. I am happy you are not having constant GI problems anymore. it is hard to see that you are getting better, but it seems as if you are doing a bit better than when you first came, anyway, and that is good. I hope you are thankful for that part, anyways. Be well! Be well! Skeeter Ps: I have discovered that Nicotine Withdrawals can actually cause Gi problems today I have felt the same sensitivity and pain but it was less and my Fecal Metter has changed colour from yellowish brown to Brown this sucks but well I wonder if it might have something to do whit the time i take my med Zoloft(Generic)100 mg From 06/06/2016 to 02/10/2016 Lexapro(Generic) 20 MG From 03/10/2016 to 05/2017 Supplements: vitamin complex Lexapro (Generic) CT 05/2017 6/08/17- reinstated 10mg Lexapro(Generic)(50%of original doses ) 02/11/2017- 9 mg Lexapro(Generic) (10 % rule) (Homemade) 04/12/2017- 8.75mg Lexapro(Generic)(BrassMonkey slide) 19/12/2017- 8.5mg Lexapro(Generic) 06/02/2018- 8.35mg Lexapro (Generic) 16/2/2018- 8.22mg Lexapro(Generic) 25/2/2018- 8.09mg Lexapro (Generic)-05/03/2018- 7.9mg Lexapro (Generic)-28/03/2018-7.75mg Lexapro (Generic)-04/04/2018-7.66mg Lexapro (Generic)18/05/2018-7.64mg Lexapro (brand Liquid) 28/6/2018 7.50mg lexapro (Brand Liquid ) 15/7/2018 7.40 mg Lexapro(brand liquid) 7.30 mg Lexapro(Liquid) 27-07-2018 Forgot to update this but i continued to taper down until 21/12/2019 and final dose was 1.3 mg Time since Stoping 3y and 4 mouths xanax 16-01-2023 started 0.25 whent to 0.5 RX 1 week Back to 0.25 corrent dose 0.25 devided in 4 parts Link to comment
Moderator Emeritus Skeeter Posted April 22, 2018 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted April 22, 2018 Miguel, If you do wish to change the time of your dose, we suggest that you change it by one hour per day until you get to the new time you like to try. Remember, if you still feel crappy after working out, you are still doing too much. our energy is better spent letting our mind and body heal. As has been said o this site many times before, AD's "rewire" your brain so to speak, so it takes a lot of energy to undo the changes. I have not yet found a person in WD able to do the same workout they could when not in WD. Most have to stop exercising completely, except for yoga. Yes, you are young, but the thing you need to keep in mind is if you are having a depression after working out, even after going as light as you are willing to go, maybe your body is telling you to take a break for a while. I am not saying stop forever, just for a while. Be well! Skeeter Current meds: Lexapro 20mg, Valium 6.25mg Current status: September 2018 forced to go down to 10mg of Valium/Diazepam from around 15mg, with the plan to have me totally of in 2 more months.

Moderator Emeritus Skeeter Posted April 23, 2018 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted April 23, 2018 Miguel, I am very proud of you for listening on the exercise. I have felt what you do after exercise, and it is an awful feeling. It is better off to start light, than go back to a heavy workout and to suffer feeling awful afterwards. It may be tempting to work out harder, but keep how you will feel later in your mind the whole time. Good job on the stopping vaping and coffee. I hope you are not feeling too ill from those two things. Some people choose to stop caffeine altogether during AD WD, but that is a personal choice. Lexapro/escitalopram is stronger than other antidepressants, so be very careful. One very common side effect from going too quickly for your body is feeling tired more than usual (feeling tired during the day after a full night of sleep, for example), sleeping more than usual, etc. Other signs and symptoms can be the usual AD WD issues, like malaise (feeling ill), lethargy, pretty much anything that is unusual for you. The BrassMonkey Slide is a great tool, but may or may not be slow enough for you. The problem with this drug and tapering is that for some people, they ignore just feeling more tired than usual (I have read so many cases of this, because I need to taper this drug myself), and tiredness or minor symptoms can end up being huge issues after reaching 0mg if ignored, if one does not take a break until the WD symptoms subside WHILE STILL ON THE DRUG. You may choose to stay on a very low dose for couple of months (or more, even) before finishing your taper, because this one is notorious for being awful once you totally stop taking it. I am not saying this to scare you, rather to avoid you feeling as awful as I have for the last 2 years. You seem like a very smart man, I do hope what I say is helpful to you. I only want the best for you, do not want what happened to me to happen to you. Had this happened t me when I was your age, I could not have tolerated it. I am proud of you for doing everything you can to feel as good as you can .Great job!! Moderator Emeritus Skeeter Posted April 23, 2018 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted April 23, 2018 Miguel, Great job! I agree with a hold based on the symptoms you are having right now. If no one has told you this yet, it is best to keep a pen and paper log of when you take your medication, the time you wake up and go to bed, and any symptoms you have each day. Due to WD, most of us have problems thinking, or "Brain fog", and it is super easy to forget later about when or even if you had a specific symptom. Esp with the varied times you take your meds, I can see this being a helpful tool for you, and you can also track when your GI system fires up, and you can look for a pattern. If yo are concerned it is related to some specific foods, you can even write what you ate in your daily log, honestly, it is a helpful tool! If you do decide to change your dose time to a different time of day, start with the earliest time you take your meds, and move from there if you are going to earlier in the day. If you have a cell phone, put an alarm app on there if you do not have one already, and set the alarm for an hour earlier each day until it is at the time that you want. Having that alarm will help ensure that you do not forget to take it at the right time, and also help skipping doses. Restlessness is the word you were thinking of, you English is very easy to read! Be sure to update your signature so that we know you are on a hold, if there is room, you can write 6mg hold, due to symptoms. Current meds: Lexapro 20mg, Valium 6.25mg Current status: September 2018 forced to go down to 10mg of Valium/Diazepam from around 15mg, with the plan to have me totally of in 2 more months. Moderator Emeritus Skeeter Posted April 25, 2018 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted April 25, 2018 Miguel, I have to wait for a court date, but you are welcome to hold with me. I want you to feel better, that is my only goal here, this is not a race, rther, a long, leisurly walk. The less you stress over it, and accept you will be slowly tapering for a while, the better for you.. I am the exception here, but you will know from my thread that it did take me 24 months to feel well enough to taper again, but this was a mess caused by a benzo, not an AD (though that was a part at the very beginning of the story that brought me here, if you read my whole thread), and a mistake by a doctor with my benzodiazepine. I will check in every so often, and see if your side effects are any better. If you go back to working out, please try an easy workout, and see how it goes. Maybe some lighter hand weights than you are used to, and do sets of reps only until you get to fatigue, (not until you are a sweaty worn out mess), and then gauge how you feel after. Do you still feel the extreme rage/anger you did before? Has that been a problem since you stopped working out? Now with a hold, if you start to feel better, a slow, symptoms-based taper might work for you, and, you might be able to work IF you wish to and IF you are up to it, but you need to be much less symptomatic first. You can be social here, if your English is up to it, you can post on my thread to see how I am doing, you can help other people by encouraging them, having someone stop in, and say "I hope you feel better soon!" can mean a lot to someone really struggling, like people have done here to help you. How about visiting and reading about all of the people here that have helped you here on your thread (other than the mods, but you can do it to moderators too), you do not have to read their entire thread, you can just read the most recent parts, if reading their stories makes you feel worse inside, but then you are also helping the people that helped you. Or, you could be doing that already... If not, give it a try. it feels good to encourage others. Your English is very good, and only improving!! If you are not sure of a word, ask, we are all kind people!! if you are not getting out nd socializing with friends as much, socializing here can be rewarding too! let me know what you think, if you like. I think you understand what it feels like to be in WD, and you can help others with that knowledge. You do not have to, it is just a suggestion. MiguelFreeman
2 hours ago, Skeeter said: Miguel, I have to wait for a court date, but you are welcome to hold with me. Moderator Emeritus Skeeter Posted April 25, 2018 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted April 25, 2018 Miguel, Great job, maybe a hold was what you needed!! Be well, Skeeter Current meds: Lexapro 20mg, Valium 6.25mg Current status: September 2018 forced to go down to 10mg of Valium/Diazepam from around 15mg, with the plan to have me totally of in 2 more months. Moderator Emeritus Skeeter Posted April 25, 2018 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted April 25, 2018 Miguel, I am so pleased you have found someone who can relate. Just make sure you do not go too fast trying to keep up with someone else, you can end up in an awful physical place again, and no one wants that. I am so pleased you have more support, though!!! I am sorry if I misunderstood before, that you wanted to hold with me...lol. I am a couple of months away from starting myself, as the date had to be moved. Pay attention to how you are feeling, that is all I ask! Great job! MiguelFreeman
And I have also notice that my gi was unstable but its slowly stabilizing and I have been having this general feeling of feeling bad and feeling hot at the same time so thus meaning that the CNS is stabilizing and making changes what I didn't understand was why this reaction while I was tapering slowly and Next taper will be 5 % split in 4 weeks and 1 week of old in between cuts thus giving plenty of time for the brain to heal up and catch up but I will only start tapering again until I get fully stable Zoloft(Generic)100 mg From 06/06/2016 to 02/10/2016 Lexapro(Generic) 20 MG From 03/10/2016 to 05/2017 Supplements: vitamin complex Lexapro (Generic) CT 05/2017 6/08/17- reinstated 10mg Lexapro(Generic)(50%of original doses ) 02/11/2017- 9 mg Lexapro(Generic) (10 % rule) (Homemade) 04/12/2017- 8.75mg Lexapro(Generic)(BrassMonkey slide) 19/12/2017- 8.5mg Lexapro(Generic) 06/02/2018- 8.35mg Lexapro (Generic) 16/2/2018- 8.22mg Lexapro(Generic) 25/2/2018- 8.09mg Lexapro (Generic)-05/03/2018- 7.9mg Lexapro (Generic)-28/03/2018-7.75mg Lexapro (Generic)-04/04/2018-7.66mg Lexapro (Generic)18/05/2018-7.64mg Lexapro (brand Liquid) 28/6/2018 7.50mg lexapro (Brand Liquid ) 15/7/2018 7.40 mg Lexapro(brand liquid) 7.30 mg Lexapro(Liquid) 27-07-2018 Forgot to update this but i continued to taper down until 21/12/2019 and final dose was 1.3 mg Time since Stoping 3y and 4 mouths xanax 16-01-2023 started 0.25 whent to 0.5 RX 1 week Back to 0.25 corrent dose 0.25 devided in 4 parts Link to comment
