It might be a good idea to keep a diary of what foods you eat and what type of bowel motions you have to see if there is a food that is causing the problem, or making this worse.  Check out this topic:

digestive-problems-nausea-diarrhea-bloating-gerd

Edited to add:

It may be that your central nervous system has been sensitised with your doses changes so that after getting food poisoning your body is taking longer to settle down.  I think the best thing to do at this time is to hold on the dose you are on.

I will do that until i am fully healed from the food poisoning ,may I ask do you ever get scared about  your depression coming back sometime in feel afaid but i.will never come back to antidepressants .hope you can ease my mind you have alot more live experience then me I just made 19

I've experienced periods of depression over the last 25 years whilst taking antidepressants.  I don't know whether those were caused by the drug or whether it was depression.  I think I have experienced both types.  I was talking with a friend recently and she was explaining to me that changes in mood and experiencing times when you feel more down than usual are a normal part of life and that they happen to everyone.

The most important thing is to learn non drug ways to get through the times when your mood is low.  Understanding that it is normal and that other people go through the same thing is helpful.  I find that I am recognising when my mood is lower and I try not to worry about it and just take care of myself and try to reduce stressful things if possible and accept that that is how I am feeling at the moment and just do what I need to do to get through it until it passes.

Unfortunately I wasn't taught skills when I was younger.  If I had, I might not have needed an antidepressant in the first place.

Some people find it better to be under the guidance of a teacher or you could try learning online:

Yes, changes in mood are "normal" in withdrawal.  It's good that you are learning CBT.  It does take practice so you will need to keep doing it.  Please see:  Windows and Waves Pattern of Stabilization

Hi Miguel,

You might consider holding a bit longer.  After all you are dealing with the possible/probable benzo W/D now too.  Good, if not excellent job on daily symptom noting and rating.  And staying objective..........just observing..........and accepting/floating.  7 and 8's for one day sound good........as 10 = your awesome best.  I don't know either on the diarrhea symptoms.  Perhaps stick to more constipating foods intermittently.  Banana's, rice, dry toast, applesauce, weak tea, etc.  Some yogurt if tolerated.  And fluids of course.

You might consider a less than 10% drop when you next reduce, or the brassmonkey slide method or some modification of that as well.

Your progress makes me happy.

Hi Miguel,

You were done with the Mexazolam  approximately 6 months ago.   And last Xanax was 9 months ago with the exception of the one week of usage in August.

No real expert opinion from me........just opinion, but I think you are probably just still settling into your more recent Lexapro decrease 4 days ago.  And probably should not make any further decreases for 4-6 weeks from December 4th, 2016.

I didn't mean to give you more to worry about.

Well might just be that I need to chill a bit doing some CBT and just trying not to let myself be alone or Whit no distractions because some times it's gets hard I do use CBT and motivate me shelf but I do not like the place in my mind when I start worrying about it I will survive this and the dear but we'll I eventually I get my shelf out but it is a pain in the ass + the nerofear and cortisol spikes  I am trying to get back to the gym after the food poison I did get weak and being at home unemployed and Whit the anxiety of not knowing if I will get the job in January or not , now I Know why some people don't have the strength to win this battle but not me f that I am way 2 Young for this got alot to live , I need to stop going on YouTube I sow a girl talking about her success story on benzo withdraw got to the comments section turn out she died age 30 probably suicide , I ask the older people for advice on live in general on how to deal with this situations since my social skills are only now maturing and getting stronger

Sounds good Miguel.  Let's see how, and when, you level off a bit in the next couple of weeks.   Holding is hard work.

Meantime, somebody else may be able to weigh on in with some wisdom for you.

And yes, chill.  Stay away from the scary.  The gym sounds like a great idea.  If not the job in January.......then the next one for sure.

You have got the right attitude.

well, today was a hard day I was fluctuating a lot from depressive mood to anger and irritability + having my mother whit irritability and pain in her toots (She stopped Lexapro after 4 months) she didn't even get prescribed she took mine ... and she did a stupid taper of 10 mg every other day and stop ... she won't list to me she says that what she feels + her lower Bp is from her pain in her tooth and stress

I just ask for the moderators to keep helping me on the taper

I am now on a hold since I am starting to feel that my CNS is Informing me to chill on the taper, I will  wait 5 weeks or 6 weeks

my Blood Pressure is still low and I am often sleepy + the back in fort of depression and anger .. and then feeling normal and marry go around again ..

I just ask the staff to guide me true this hell so I don't make stupid cuts I will always ask for guidance on my next cut

I love you all from the bottom of my heart  and PLs don't leave me alone whit this taper because your knowledge will help me a lot

and when this is over i will stay on this forum to help

Hi Miguel,

I quoted this post because I wasn't sure about your ratings.......if 10 is very good..........then when you have aggressive behavior or suicidal thoughts of 7 or 8..........does that mean an improvement?  Do you see what I'm asking.

I did see your more recent rating too and thanks for doing those.

Yes, that is hard with your Mom experiencing withdrawal too.

((((hugs))))  Love, peace, healing/"in recovery", and growth,

  • Well my mother is completely insane she is now completely full of irritability + I am going true withdrawal she just fuckin told me that I was Paranoid and crazy while I am calm and the only thing I told her was about the withdrawal that I was feeling,
  • she just was soo aggressive that I had a hard time to hold my shelf (i am going true Nero-anger but I am keeping my shelf calm Whit tons of zazen meditation  ) I just cant Stand her voice and thats super bad becose I love her some times tell her to shut up maybe that was what triggerd her rage
  •  she said that I was paranoid and crazy even do I am the one that is the calmest in the house ..
  • She even told me that my doctor wanted to Inpatient me in a psychiatric hospital when I CT the Lexapro, even so, she never told me that ... (Prob just rage talk )
  • She is just attacking me soo hard ... maybe I just need to shut up about Withdrawals and be in silence...
  • this is hard she is just unstable and attacking me saying I am not trying and that I need to change the Lexapro time to 06:00 pm because of work  but I didn't even get the confirmation that I will get that job
  • shude I just shut up and try my best to get up in the morning because I normally wake up and eat take the Lexapro and go back to sleep and she is mad because of that
  • She just makes fun of I talking about withdrawal she is just like a stupid 15 girl making fun of things and constantly talking... I think she is a narcissist
  • She is just soo angry and unstable I told her to reinstate a small amount but she won't do it she says that she will never go back to that medication
  • I know she is suffering from withdrawals but she won't admit it + she is afraid that the cancer she beat 12 years ago is back even dow doctors already said that the node she has on the spot that was once her left breast is just calcium deposits but they say it must be watched + she is afraid of heart problems (but  i know that its all anxiety from withdrawals and that her low Bp and high heartbeats are from the anxiety )
  • She is getting tests done soon
  • Any advice?

I copy that Miguel.  It does sound tough.  Most of us really don't have anyone to talk W/D with except here........so you are not alone in that.   Or in having somewhat difficult relationships while going through W/D and beyond.  It gets better.  It does.  It will.

I always dosed my Lexapro in the morning.  Some do there dose at night, but for me it was more stimulating or acted as an upper so to speak.  So you are probably fine staying put with your timing.

Prayers/good intentions for you and your Mom.......and good for you for coping so well and using your skills.

Trying my best today was better  coddent concentrate on the meditation because knwas watching a documentary about Belgium and the assisted suicide and I was like how can this be allowed they originally planned that for terminal illness that had no cure but now they are letting doctor and psychiatrist do assisted suicide for mental pain  I was deeply disturbed watching an elderly lady die when the doctor stood there Whit a happy face watching her drink a lethal liquid she did that because she was In grief about her son that died ,I understand that she was in pain but instead of trying to help her get true her reactive depression no they kill her I was deeply disturbed I need to stop wondering YouTube it takes me to bad places

Change the channel Miguel!  Don't watch that kind of stuff now, if at all possible.  I know you don't always have a choice in your household but........  Neuro emotions, vulnerability.  Even now.......I can't always watch the kind of stuff I used to........it just puts thoughts and ideas, in my head that I don't need, or warps my sunny perception of things(that I NEED to maintain).

Discern.  Discernment.  I don't know how that translates in Portugese?  Find me the word for it in your language.

Best and goodnight from the States,

Well my Blood Pressure normalized  116/70 83 Bpm

today I am noticing improvements the typical from my brain stabilizing

just need to get the other aspects of recovering in order

  • Going To the Gym(Haven't been able because my ride is sick My brother )
  • Continue meditation
  • good sleep (Still fixing it )
  • Positive attitude
  • lots of distractions

They only symptoms are Nerofear + Some occasional intrusive thoughts mostly from what I watched last night that stupid euthanasia documentary

Don't know if it is suicidal feeling or intrusive toughs but I think its intrusive thoughts because they are about the people that died in that documentary and some flashbacks to that liquid they gave to people to kill them

Well that was a stupid thing to do but ok

Today I change my med time to night time it was originally at 18:00 Hours but i totally forgot i was feeling so fine that i forgot  so i took it at 21:20

Keep it cool and simple

once again ty for the support

and I would love to chat whit you manymoretodays hope we can arrange that

today I started taking my new supplements they are Omega 3 3000 mg Epa-990-Dha660 + Vitamin D3 2000 IU +Vitamin D 50 UG

and I have been vaping at 2mg nicotine per ML of e-liquid, started vaping again 2 days ago to boost my Blood Pressure that has been low because of the Escitalopram.

I have eaten a cake full of sugar and chocolate(can't help my shelf but i didn't eat cake for a long time ), after that, I had a bit more anxiety from mild to moderate  and The neuro-fear boosted a bit from  mild to moderate

but the thing that is happening the most Is the Nero-anger it  has been going up since 2 days ago but it does not last long (1 -4 Hours)

it did subside after 3 hours of continues Nero -anger now I am just sleepy has hell because of the Low Bp

I was vaping at the time that the  Nero-anger + anxiety + Nero-fear started

and I think the Nero -fear is transforming it shelf in Nero-anger

I was having anxiety before i had eaten because I was vaping but after I eaten that cake it went Up

I took The supplements  3 hours prior

I have taken Vitamin D3 in the past but not omega 3

in your opinion was it a wave or a reaction
