Your signature does not include the Celexa or Klonopin.

What time of day do you take each of your drugs, and what dosages?

How do you feel before you take Celexa? How do you feel after you take Celexa?

Why did you go off fluoxetine? Did your symptoms change after you started Celexa?

Ok just updated now,   Celexa  10mg in the morning  last week I was taking klonopin  .5 in the evening for sleep

and sometimes  had taken xanax .25   in the middle of the night ...    started taking oxazepan 5mg  in the day

but it varies Im trying not to take so much  ironically im in panic of taking  medication...

So trying to manage with  zopiclone now and melatonin... I have anxiety rushes that wake me up so I took  7.5mg and

then  3.75mg  as I wake up often. still very tired.  what can I do to sleep better?

I did have a WD from paxil i took it 4 months and they switched me to fluoxetine made me ill, jittery, very nervous so tappered very

quickly... didn't have brain zaps

Celexa for the moment just numbs my crying... and maybe a bit of energy  but still have butterflies in my stomach and exhausted from stress and lack of sleep

I lost some weigh and not sure what to do...  Im scared of taking benzos as Im not sure  how I will tapper them

Can gaba be good for me?

.

I am saying this because it took me awhile to have any clarity of thought when I came back here in May. It may have seemed like I was alright, but I was just hanging on. My thoughts were very disorganized and it was like trying to swim through mud to make sense.

That may be so, Daisy, but I can't answer lalala's questions until I know

Did your symptoms change after you started Celexa?

The irregular dosing of the benzos alone might be causing all the problems.

lalala, to figure out where your symptoms are coming from, you need to take the drugs on a regular schedule.

At the least, you must take the 10mg Celexa AT THE SAME TIME EVERY DAY.

Taking it at 11 a.m. one day and 3 p.m. the next day is like skipping a dose. That alone could cause your symptoms.

How long have you been taking a benzo every day? Your symptoms may be coming from the benzos.

Please add the citalopram to your signature.

I would  say first week sporadically,  then 2weeks everyday mainly at night and  one week  different  dosages and skipping  days in  between

0.5-1mg...benzos.  all together one month

My Doctor  wants to  give me seroquel  for sleep.

We can't help you unless you visit more frequently here, answer questions, and become more regular in your dosing.

What time of day will you continue to take 10mg Celexa? Please choose a time, stick to it, and  keep daily notes on paper about your symptoms, when you take your drugs, and their dosages.

Most likely, you are physiologically dependent on the benzos now. The benzos want you to take them regularly or they will not let you sleep. Please start a topic in our benzo forum to discuss your benzo dosing. This can settle your sleep without adding Seroquel.

This is not medical advice. Discuss any decisions about your medical care with a knowledgeable medical practitioner.

No, it's not better. You need to get settled with a drug cocktail before you can figure out what to taper. If you keep jumping around, we can't help you.

Yes, we understand that, lalala.

When you're dependent on benzos, they behave oddly. If you don't take just the right amount, they can keep you awake. When they wear off, they can cause rebound anxiety and then you want to take another benzo. That's how people get addicted.

If you stopped taking any benzos now, you probably would get withdrawal symptoms -- which you might blame on the Celexa.

You need to take the Celexa regularly AT THE SAME TIME EACH DAY, and you probably will have to take the benzo on a schedule, too.

Once your symptom pattern settles down, we can help you taper -- most likely, reducing the Celexa first, so the benzo can still help you sleep.

If you can't take drugs on a regular schedule, we probably can't help you because we can't tell where symptoms are coming from.

This is not medical advice. Discuss any decisions about your medical care with a knowledgeable medical practitioner.

Because you're jumping around with all your drugs, we can't tell if you're getting side effects from the Celexa. Could be it's all from the benzos.

When I started to take Xanax which is a benzo on a regular schedule, my sleep has been much better. What I have found that works for me is:

0.5 mgs at 8am

0.25 mgs at 2 pm

0.5 mgs at bedtime

I also take 5 mgs of Prozac at 8 am.

20 mgs of Prilosec as soon as I get up for moderate acid reflex.

Having been a bulimic in my 30's, I believe gave me a predisposition to esophageal reflex disease.

Please listen to Altostata. You are more than likely causing havoc with your brain chemistry and nervous system by not following a strict schedule.

I can understand your concern about the Celexa though. I tried Lexapro and it turned me into a confused, fatigued, trying to think through mud individual with one episode of what I am going to call a sensory hallucination. Taking it at night did not help. Taking 10 mgs made everything worse. I only started reading about the side effects after they happened to me, not before. So it was not the power of suggestion. The sensory hallucination is one side effect I have not seen recorded.

Give the Celexa at least a 3-4 week  try on a regular schedule and also the Benzo. Please stay away from the Seroquel.

I am not an expert. I am only offering my own experience.

I was  in Wd  this is why I started on celexa  because I had become depressed and anxious ... People tell me because of the oversensitive brain it can be difficult to wean down  benzos  and the longer I am on them the worst it is...it wasnt a good idea but here I am...  I thought To continue with zoplicone  11mg at night with gaba which helps me sleep last night  all though I did wake up shaky... I want to tapper klonopin ... and take oxazpan in the morning.. does that make sense?

Lalala. I would not recommend tapering anything until you are on a routine medication schedule. In 2012 I tried to taper an antidepressant way to fast and also started tapering off Xanax starting in 2012 . It did not end well.

Hi, Lalala.

As Alto suggested, please start a new thread in the benzo forum.

Benzo tapering and recovery

After you start a new thread, we can work on getting a proper schedule for your benzos. I think you'll feel better once you get stabilized on a set dose and time for each of your drugs.

Just move forward from here and leave the past in the past. You will recover, but there is no exact time frame in which recovery will happen.

Part of the problem may be your Celexa (the dose may be too high).

Please post a drug and symptoms journal in the format that I linked in my post above and we'll be able to tell more.

When did you increase the dose from 5 mg to 10 mg Celexa?

So you've only been at 10 mg since June 16?

If so, you may be able to decrease back down to 5 mg in order to reduce the antidepressant-induced anxiety.

lalala, I've copied a few key posts from your benzo thread and placed them here for the antidepressant moderators.

It seems like the the Celexa may be too high and since you've been at that dose for only 6 days, you may be able to go back to your original 5 mg.

As I mentioned in your benzo thread, we really need a drug and symptoms journal to be able to help you. We need to see when you are taking benzos and z-drugs, as your doses have been skipping around quite a bit.

Drug and Symptoms Journal Format

Please post your journal here in this thread.

xyz, don't tell people to go off psychiatric drugs unless you're willing to closely support them in pms, e-mail, and by phone if they should get withdrawal symptoms.

We try to give very careful advice to keep people from getting withdrawal symptoms. Don't alarm people, they might suddenly quit and then they'd be in big trouble.

As I mentioned in your benzo thread, we really need a drug and symptoms journal to be able to help you. We need to see when you are taking benzos and z-drugs, as your doses have been skipping around quite a bit.

lalala, you went down to 5mg Celexa yesterday? Did your symptom pattern change?
