Administrator Altostrata Posted March 3, 2018 Administrator Share Posted March 3, 2018 JamesF, thank you for trying to be helpful. We recommend making a liquid because once you get the hang of it, it's easier and less time-consuming than weighing. We have many people here who have used do-it-yourself liquids, compounded liquids, or branded liquids to taper successfully. One thing that can make concocting a do-it-yourself liquid easier and more accurate: A graduated cylinder. Very inexpensive ones can be found on Ebay or from scientific supply companies. hannahG
Is there any risk in tapering too slow? I'm not in any rush to come fully off since my RI. I'm happy for it to take several years if needed Benzodiazapines: Clonazepam: 1.5mg daily since 2014. Crossed Over to Diazepam to begin taper off in August 2016 Diazepam: 30mg since August 2016. Tapered off over one year. Took last dose 18th August 2017Antidepressant: Escitalopram: February 2016 - May 2016; 10mg of escitalopram; quit cold turkey - no problems. August 2017: Reinstated escitalopram due to re-emergence of anxiety. Tried various doses from August 2016 - December 2016 settling on 5mg. August 25th 2017: Quit 5mg cold turkey. August 25th 2017 - Dec 2017: Took a couple of 'one off' doses of 5mg during this time period - unsure specific dates Jan 3rd 2018 - Jan 8 2018: Attempted RI at 2.5mg - got too anxious worrying about possible sxs from RI and discontinued Feb 21st 2018: Second RI attempt 2.5mg Feb 24th 2018: Changed RI dose to 1.25mg Feb 28th changed RI dose to 1mg Link to comment
hannahG
And I should add that I dont mean I'll get complacent with it. I just want to lessen my withdrawal anyway possible and if going slower than slow helps then I'm more than okay with that. Benzodiazapines: Clonazepam: 1.5mg daily since 2014. hannahG
Hey everyone, its been a few months since my RI at 2.5mg. A few Symptoms are better however, the vertigo is not. Interestingly, i only ever got that when I RI, it wasn’t a withdrawal symptom for me. The only other symptom that hasn’t gone away for me yet is intrusive memories. Anyway, I feel ready to start tapering off ever slowly. I’m going to liquid taper off but I’m wondering what equipment I should use. I travel for a living so I need it to be as simple as possible. I was thinking of investing in a good reusable syringe. Does anyone know of any? Also just a good container for mixing ? Thanks in advance Benzodiazapines: Clonazepam: 1.5mg daily since 2014.
