A jar is fine. I suggested a plastic medicine container just because they are amber colored and have a wide mouth. The amber color protects medications/drugs from light. Protect from light and label it.......contents of 9 mg Viibryd compounded capsules. You could label a jar and then put the container/jar in a paper bag. Be careful handling the stuff too. Use your tweezers and spoon. Filling the nice, big capsules comes later. After I do all the calculations for you. Do you remember the cross over formula. The 1/4 and 3/4 to start. That's when you fill the BIG new capsules. I will give you the weights of what to put in the BIG new capsules exactly. What you need from the tablet/pill supply and what you need from the capsule contents. The weight of each of those you will need to see on your scale. Then you load the NEW capsules and do 7 days using them. Then we go to the next stage. 1/2 and 1/2 for a week. New weights. New BIG capsules filled. And so forth. This process will take a total of 28 days and then a further HOLD. And yes, it's possible you feel some degree of W/D symptoms or side effects during this change. In the long run though, you will be formulating your own Viibryd from the tablets/pills only. And can begin to control the taper. We are not tapering now. Or adjusting any other medications. During the HOLD, once crossed over....... That's when it might be best to, if needed, work on benzo spacing again with Shep. Okay......and I do see the source of your confusion now. In the quote. I remember you saying to use glass not the plastic as the pill contents can stick to it and indeed they do...see that with the pills I crushed before as a trial...all yellow around the side of the plastic med container. Some of the bulk material stuck to the sides, but I wasn't measuring that so it didn't count. I prefer glass because it's cleaner, that's all. 20 years on Paxil starting at 20mg and working up to 40mg. Sept 2011 started 10% every 6 weeks taper (2.5% every week for 4 weeks then hold for 2 additional weeks), currently at 7.9mg. Oct 2011 CTed 15oz vodka a night, to only drinking 2 beers most nights, totally sober Feb 2013. Since I wrote this I have continued to decrease my dose by 10% every 6 weeks (2.5% every week for 4 weeks and then hold for an additional 2 weeks). I added in an extra 6 week hold when I hit 10mg to let things settle out even more. When I hit 3mgpw it became hard to split the drop into 4 parts so I switched to dropping 1mgpw (pill weight) every week for 3 weeks and then holding for another 3 weeks. The 3 + 3 schedule turned out to be too harsh so I cut back to dropping 1mgpw every 4 weeks which is working better. Final Dose 0.016mg. What I do seems so nothing and benign compared to my life before all this...and it has been going on so long. If the Viibryd isn't a problem wonder why taper it first? You want the powder to stay clean and dry and not get spilled if you knock things over. 20 years on Paxil starting at 20mg and working up to 40mg. Sept 2011 started 10% every 6 weeks taper (2.5% every week for 4 weeks then hold for 2 additional weeks), currently at 7.9mg. Oct 2011 CTed 15oz vodka a night, to only drinking 2 beers most nights, totally sober Feb 2013. Since I wrote this I have continued to decrease my dose by 10% every 6 weeks (2.5% every week for 4 weeks and then hold for an additional 2 weeks). I added in an extra 6 week hold when I hit 10mg to let things settle out even more. When I hit 3mgpw it became hard to split the drop into 4 parts so I switched to dropping 1mgpw (pill weight) every week for 3 weeks and then holding for another 3 weeks. The 3 + 3 schedule turned out to be too harsh so I cut back to dropping 1mgpw every 4 weeks which is working better. Final Dose 0.016mg. Just posted something on the scale sight...about the Gemini giving different weights when weigh same thing a few times...and bouncing between weights...mainly the difference in weight when the same thing is weighed. Is it okay? Mat posted same concern. Also wondered about my using some of the older smaller weight Viibryd capsules so that can use them up? If not thats ok too. Yes I am really ready...have the viibryd pills and the capsules...I am just waiting to hear I can use the capsules that did not fir into the acceptable range that brassmonkey calculated for me. I sen them back to the pharmacy but they said they were within 10% so good to go! Soooo..will be happy to not take them soon but would like to use the others so they are not wasted. I dont know why I could not if I weighed them all..but just wanted to be sure as they are from different scripts but same dose..just out of range weights. Suspecting if you empty the capsule it will all even out in the end but I am not going to assume anything because this is all so new and I admittedly have no clue much as to what I am doing as of yet. Please listen to brassmonkey’s advice, forget about the old capsules for now. Also, I know you get really stressed but with the help of all the wonderful people on here you will get there. As Shep said, start with tapering the Viibryd first n then later the Benzo because tapering the Viibryd first is less likely to interfere with sleep. At least if you continue to get enough sleep it will help you to cope. Was not going to change but the doctor had already called them in and I see him in 2 weeks anyway so thought I could try them and if not better I can always go back to the .2 and .7s in 2 weeks. The pharmacist is only sending a month of them instead of the 3 months which is nice and then will prorate if I want to continue on them which is also nice of her. This morning I woke with bad headache and heart off...but had to take one of smaller weight capsules of CLonazepam that are not in range at all cause all I have til new ones come. But also on edge this morning so who knows. Going to try to go for a short walk. Was grateful to get out yesterday a bit.... feel better around 500 so go but traffic here is so awful then...but worth it.... and later at night gives me a nice break as well...had a bath and to bed. I am really sorry about the headache.....I know how awful headaches can be and waking up with one is particularly hard. I am glad you were able to get out a bit yesterday and hope you are able to go for your walk today. Hopefully the cold air will shock the headache away! Thinking about you - WR. -1/06 - 3/07 Cymbalta. Fast taper (essentially CT); withdrawal symptoms after 4 mos (didn't realize was WD) -10/07: 100 mg Zoloft; 1 mg Klonopin - tapered off Klonopin after 4 mos. Several unsuccessful slow tapers of Zoloft; went up and down in dose a lot -Spring 2013 back on 1 mg Klonopin to counter WD symptoms; switched over 5-6 mos from Zoloft to 35 mg citalopram -Two attempts at slow tapering citalopram, always increased dose due to WD; also increased Klonopin to 1.25 mg in 2014, then to 1.5 mg in 2015 -8/17-9/17: After holding one year at 20 mg, feeling withdrawal symptoms due to stress - slowly increased to 25 mg. No change in symptoms after 6 months (? tolerance ?) - decided to start citalopram taper February 2018 (still on Klonopin 1.5 mg). Supplements: fish oil; magnesium; vitamin D3; curcumin Citalopram taper: 2/2018 - 12/2019: 25 mg - 11.03 mg I 2020: 10.89 mg - 7.9 mg I 2021: 7.8 mg - 5.26 mg I 2022: 5.2 mg - 3.36 mg I 2023: 3.3 mg - 1.47 mg 2024: 1/5/24: 1.44 mg; 1/19/24: 1.40 mg; 1/26/24: 1.37 mg; 2/2/24: 1.34 mg; 2/9/24: 1.31 mg; 2/23/24: 1.28 mg; 3/1/24: 1.25 mg; 3/8/24: 1.22 mg; 3/15/24: 1.19 mg; 3/29/24: 1.17 mg; 4/5/24: 1.14 mg; 4/13/24: 1.11 mg Link to comment

Things are a bit complicated and I make them more so because of my fears...reading brass monkeys post helped me identify them..all three of them....and there are more I know....spirals seem to be my favorite geo design.
